I closed the distance, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Cause I want to show you the view from the bed."
She took a heavy gulp, swallowing her words back.
My fingers traced down her arm. The old tension never faded
"You're really different from the person I knew you to be.." Alice said, her words came out broken.
"You're my brother but I don't feel that brotherly love from you… It's something more and i can't describe it."
"I think about it too." I said, reading her mind. I sat on the edge of the bed. "I barely made it out of that house without committing a forbidden wrong."
"You're lucky you didn't, by the way or you would've been in prison…" She scoffed.
"But now.. you're damn near perfect to be called my brother, dad would be so proud of you."
"You think so?"
"Yeah I do." She said with a smile on her lips.
"That reminds me how about your mom?"
"She's your mom too, you know right?!"
