It's not over yet.
Wood Release: Cutting Technique!
A wooden spike grew from Madara's hand, aimed at the two Sages of Mount Myōboku.
From his posture, it looked like he intended to kill both Sages.
Madara truly detested the Genjutsu known as Frog Confrontation Chant; he hadn't expected the Ninja World to still possess a Genjutsu capable of controlling the Rinnegan.
If Madara hadn't used Izanagi early on, he might have already gone to the Pure Land to square off with Hashirama.
Madara claimed he wanted to see an enemy who could make his blood boil, but he wasn't happy when he actually encountered one.
When facing an enemy who could counter his power, he had to deal with them ruthlessly.
While being kicked away, Jiraiya saw Madara's lethal move and immediately endured the agonizing pain in his internal organs to release the Summoning Jutsu.
With two "poof" sounds, Sage Fukusaku and Sage Shima were sent back to Mount Myōboku.
Madara was a bit incensed: "Jiraiya!!"
Ryou watched from a distance, feeling extremely excited.
He wanted to learn all of Madara's Ninjutsu.
Susanoo, Wood Release—each one was like a Senjutsu; he just had to learn them!
Fish Ball stuffed a fish into Obito's mouth and asked Ryou, "Ryou, what should we do with Obito?"
"Kill him and find a place to bury him!"
Ryou was busy watching the battle! He had no time to think about Obito.
Fish Ball extended his sharp claws and said fiercely to Obito, "Obito, don't blame me. Even though you've fed me before, this is the master's order."
"Mmm mmm mmm—"
Obito struggled violently.
Tobi emerged from Obito's body and apologized, "I'm very sorry, Lord Ryou. I didn't keep a good eye on Obito just now; I thought he came to assist Lord Madara."
Ryou looked back at Tobi and reached out to touch his head. "It's alright, Tobi. Just be more careful in your next life."
Tobi quickly shrunk back into Obito's body.
Ryou thought he was being discreet, but Tobi had still caught him; he frequently absorbed experimental White Zetsu specimens.
Ryou continued to watch the battle.
Ryou looked at the White Zetsu in Madara's base with envy!
Each White Zetsu was a life.
There were about a thousand White Zetsu in Madara's base, all generated from the Gedo Statue by injecting Hashirama cells and Chakra, not created by the White Zetsu Spore Technique.
Compared to the latter, the former could provide abundant vitality to generate life spores.
But with Black and White Zetsu watching, Ryou didn't dare to refine them casually; these White Zetsu were Madara's pawns for monitoring the Ninja World, not livestock.
The battle between Madara and the Sannin was basically drawing to a close.
Orochimaru's giant snakes were all dealt with by the Wood Golem, and Katsuyu was beaten into multiple divisions, scattered here and there.
Jiraiya's Sage Mode had ended, and Orochimaru and Tsunade were covered in wounds.
Meanwhile, Madara, standing opposite them, only had slightly dirty clothes!
The battle had become completely one-sided.
"Ninja Art: Heaven Spear Kick!"
Tsunade concentrated all her Chakra into her leg; even if Madara were hit by this kick, his internal organs would be crushed.
He wasn't in the Reanimation state; while the Hashirama cells in his body were monstrous, they hadn't reached the level of high-speed organ regeneration.
Madara's body didn't move an inch until the very moment Tsunade was about to hit him.
Madara formed a hand seal.
Sharingan: Genjutsu!
Tsunade seemed to see a pair of crimson Sharingan, then fell into a world of Genjutsu, eventually collapsing to the ground unconscious.
"Tsunade!"
Jiraiya shouted, blood trailing from his mouth.
Orochimaru stared at Madara's closed eyes. "Can he cast Genjutsu even without the Sharingan?"
Tsunade was a Kage-level powerhouse; a Genjutsu that could catch her must be at the Mangekyo Sharingan level?
Can one cast Sharingan Genjutsu without the Sharingan?
Yes!
Even without the Sharingan, Madara could use the Uchiha's "Third Power," Susanoo, let alone Genjutsu.
Furthermore, Madara used hand seals, letting Tsunade see them to release the Sharingan Genjutsu through the form of seals.
Madara didn't like using Genjutsu; he preferred fist-to-flesh combat.
But not liking Genjutsu didn't mean he couldn't use it; Madara's eyes were already at the Rinnegan level.
Such eyes could control a Tailed Beast with a single glance; dealing with someone like Tsunade was a piece of cake.
Madara picked up Tsunade and threw her directly toward Ryou's location.
"Since the people of Konoha refuse to let their princess marry my grandson, then we will take her ourselves."
"Ryou, catch! Hashirama's granddaughter belongs to you now!"
Ryou was overjoyed. He caught Tsunade steadily and then bowed deeply to Madara. "Thank you, Ancestor! Ancestor is mighty! I will surely bring glory to the Uchiha clan! I'll make the Uchiha flourish in the Ninja World."
"Uchiha Madara!!" Jiraiya charged forward recklessly.
Orochimaru stopped him: "Jiraiya, don't be impulsive!"
Jiraiya was exasperated: "Tsunade has been captured! How can I stay calm?"
Orochimaru said, "Only the living are winners. Uchiha Madara's power is not something ordinary Ninjas can face. We must retreat first!"
"We'll return to Konoha, organize a Ninja army to surround and suppress Uchiha Madara, and rescue Tsunade."
His brain told Jiraiya that Orochimaru was right; the safest thing now was to retreat and request tactical support.
But—
"I will never watch the person I love fall into the hands of the enemy!"
Jiraiya charged forward recklessly once again.
Seeing this, Orochimaru gritted his teeth and followed.
Orochimaru considered himself a rational person, so why was he acting so impulsively at this critical moment?
The reason was none other than the idiot beside him!
Jiraiya was the kind of person you could always trust with your back, never having to fear a betrayal.
He was unlike Ryou, that backstabbing demon who would frown and retreat behind everyone.
Having finally obtained Tsunade, Ryou was no longer interested in the battle between Madara and the Sannin; he just wanted to find a place to enjoy his prize.
Suddenly, a blue-and-white slug appeared on Tsunade.
"Lord Ryou, please do not harm Lady Tsunade."
Ryou shouted at the slug, "Katsuyu, move aside! If you push me, I'll use you as a cup!"
Katsuyu: "o(≧口≦)o"
...Madara began hand-to-hand combat with Jiraiya and Orochimaru; both Jiraiya and Orochimaru were out of Chakra.
As for Madara, he was purely doing it to regain his battle instincts as a Ninja—in other words, he was playing.
In terms of Taijutsu, Madara was a legendary Ninja who had fought his way through thousands of Ninjas since the Warring States Period; his Taijutsu had reached a level of returning to simplicity.
His technique of catching and redirecting made it difficult for Jiraiya and Orochimaru to cope.
Finally, Madara got tired of playing and kicked Jiraiya away.
Orochimaru's Kusanagi sword swung down, and Madara let it strike his arm directly.
The Kusanagi sword got stuck in Madara's bone; Madara kicked Orochimaru away and then seized the Kusanagi sword.
Madara felt the edge of the sword and remarked, "Not bad. A very sharp sword. It seems to be the Sky Sword among the Kusanagi swords, a divine tool that can extend and contract at will."
The Kusanagi sword is not a single divine tool but a general term.
In the original work, three appeared: Orochimaru's Sky Sword, another one he gave to Sasuke which was light and sharp; Sasuke often used it with Chidori Current to enhance its power.
Finally, there was Itachi's spiritual sword, the Totsuka Blade, which also belongs to the Kusanagi sword family; Orochimaru spent his whole life looking for it without success.
Holding the Kusanagi sword, Madara caught up to Orochimaru like a ghost and lunged with the blade, poised to pierce Orochimaru's head.
