"Looking for a beating!"
Before Madara could speak, Ryou rushed forward and gave Obito a thorough cleaning up.
He pinched Obito's face: "Didn't I tell you to run away earlier? Why did you come back?"
"I gave you a chance and you were useless, I gave you a chance and you were useless!"
Obito roared at Ryou: "Ryou, you bastard, you resurrected Uchiha Madara! Do you have any idea how much impact this will have on our Uchiha?"
"The people of the Village will blame us."
Ryou showed a ruthless expression, condensing Lightning-attribute Chakra, which immediately shocked Obito into howling in pain.
"I've already been removed from the Uchiha of Konoha, why would I care about them?"
Madara roared: "Ryou, shock him harder. I want to see if this kid is truly stubborn as a mule."
Ryou increased the voltage, but Obito still refused to yield. He opened his two-tomoe Sharingan, staring at Ryou and Madara with wide eyes.
"I will never associate with evil-doers like you!"
Ryou got a bit angry: "Good, good, good. Since you say we're evil-doers, it seems I'll have to show you some evil."
"White Zetsu, go and capture Nohara Rin for me. I want to deal with her right in front of Obito."
"Ryou, you wouldn't dare—!"
Obito roared at Ryou with all his might.
Ryou walked up to Madara: "Ancestor, I've had some insights from studying the Uchiha Sharingan over the years. Uchiha gain power through love, and even greater power through the loss of love."
"The person Obito cares about most is Nohara Rin. As long as we capture Nohara Rin and harm her, Obito will surely be able to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan."
Obito's eyes were bloodshot as if he wanted to devour Ryou: "Ryou, you bastard!"
But his hands were bound by Tobi, and his legs were bitten by Fish Ball, making it impossible for him to move at all.
Madara glanced at Ryou in surprise. Uchiha gain power through love, and even greater power through the loss of love.
This sentence basically explained the way the Sharingan awakens; without a certain level of research into the Sharingan, one couldn't have such deep realization.
Madara suddenly realized that Ryou was also a research-oriented Ninja. His Uchiha bloodline was initially just a burden to him!
Even without that Uchiha bloodline, Ryou would be an outstanding talent.
It was just that Madara felt Ryou was too evil, even more evil than himself. Capturing a young girl just to harm her—wasn't that the behavior of a common thug?
Madara reached out and shocked Ryou: "Who taught you your early education within the clan? How can a member of my Uchiha act like a common thug?"
"Aaaah—!! Ancestor, my parents died in battle as soon as I was born. I'm an orphan, I have no parents."
"An orphan! I see!"
Madara understood and stopped shocking Ryou.
Ryou's heart itched with resentment; being a villain without acting like one, following Madara was truly hard to please.
Was Madara evil?
He was indeed evil, but not entirely so.
His evil was purposeful. For example, letting Rin be killed by Kakashi in front of Obito was so that Obito would lose his love, thereby awakening the power belonging to the Uchiha.
He firmly believed this world was hell and only the Eye of the Moon Plan could save it.
On the other hand, Madara was a great revolutionary. He deeply understood that peace in the Ninja World was impossible, so the desire to end war was born.
That is the plan currently being implemented, the Eye of the Moon Plan, to let everyone live in a dream of peace so that there would be no more conflict in the world.
Naive but simple.
You cannot mock someone who works hard for their dream.
Even if this dream is just a scam.
Because at least they tried.
Madara leaned against the arm of the Gedo Statue, tilting his head to look at Obito: "Obito?"
Ryou was also a bit nervous; now Obito's survival was basically dependent on Madara's whim.
"Since he's useless, just bury him in the toilet!"
"Huh?!" Ryou and Obito were both shocked.
Madara thought about it and found that Obito was basically useless because he had Ryou, had regained his youth, and restored his strength.
As for Obito—
Madara firmly believed that simple people like Obito were the geniuses of the Uchiha; once they lost love, they were more terrifying than anyone.
But Madara had no intention of capturing Nohara Rin to make Obito awaken his eyes; he had a better pawn in Ryou.
Obito roared: "Uchiha Madara, kill me! Even if I become a ghost, I will stop your conspiracy."
"Still dare to talk back?!"
Ryou shocked Obito, making him howl in pain immediately.
Ryou echoed Madara: "Ancestor, wouldn't it be a waste to kill him? A life is a life after all. Let me keep him, and another day I'll drain him to supplement Ancestor's lifespan."
Madara nodded: "Makes sense, but I have a better way."
Madara's empty eye sockets looked at Obito, feeling like a cold blade cutting across his body.
"Zetsu, possess Obito. Let him witness his Village, his comrades, and his most beloved person all turn to ashes."
Madara formed hand seals and cast Genjutsu on Obito. Obito immediately seemed hypnotized, but his eyes remained lively, and his consciousness was still clear.
Black Zetsu moved out of White Zetsu's body and then possessed the right half of Obito's body.
Ryou looked at Obito; at this moment, Obito looked just like he did in the Fourth Great Ninja War when he was possessed by Black Zetsu.
Black Zetsu's possession had a very strong binding force. In the original story, Madara was forcibly restrained by Black Zetsu, who directly took over Madara's body to resurrect Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
However, Black Zetsu's binding force didn't last long; its possession was an instantaneous type of possession.
Otherwise, if Black Zetsu could directly control a reincarnation of Indra, it would have collected all nine Tailed Beasts long ago.
It was much better with Madara's Genjutsu hypnosis.
Even though Madara had no eyes in his sockets, his Genjutsu was at least at the Mangekyo level, not something Obito's single two-tomoe eye could resist.
After Black Zetsu possessed Obito, Obito's consciousness was still watching, but the initiative of his body had been taken by Black Zetsu.
Black Zetsu controlled Obito's body to walk over and stand beside Madara, like a loyal servant.
While controlling Obito, Madara gave Ryou a meaningful glance.
Ryou swallowed hard. This was killing the chicken to warn the monkey; if Ryou didn't obey Madara, Madara would use Genjutsu to control him too.
"Ancestor, from now on I'll do whatever you tell me to do, and kill whoever you tell me to kill!"
"I'll go and take out Tsunade first to completely set us against Konoha."
Ryou was about to leave when Madara started shocking him again: "Why would you kill Hashirama's granddaughter? Although Hashirama and I had different positions, we were still confidants."
"His granddaughter is naturally my junior as well!"
"Stop shocking me, stop shocking me, Ancestor, I was wrong."
Madara didn't actually care that Tsunade was Hashirama's granddaughter. In the original story, when the Five Kage faced Madara, Tsunade was cut in half by him.
Madara truly was an old demon!
After Ryou behaved himself, Madara looked at the black mark on his hand and frowned slightly: "The venom of the White Snake Sage from Ryūchi Cave is indeed a bit troublesome. That old monster, sooner or later I'll turn it into a snakeskin bag."
