Chapter 305 - MCA Chapter 304: To Live is to Endure

After the Wood Dragon's intense suction, Shibuki has become a skeleton.

The people from Kusagakure and Amegakure didn't dare look at this tragic sight, kneeling before Ryou in fear.

Although Shibuki was bad, he was still someone who had joined them! Yet he was killed by Ryou just like that, without any regard for right or wrong?

This guy is truly a descendant of Madara; just like Madara, he is a fickle person.

Konan and Nagato, who were still there, breathed a sigh of relief.

Just now they thought Ryou's will had been modified by Kotoamatsukami, but looking at his behavior just now, it hasn't changed; he still has that stench of a beast.

Ryou walked over and took Konan's hand: "What are you standing there for? Everyone get on. This time, I'll take you flying!"

Konan confirmed once again that Ryou's will had not been modified by Kotoamatsukami.

Because Ryou's hand was secretly squeezing her where others couldn't see.

Konan was in despair; she felt it might have been better if Ryou's will had been modified by Kotoamatsukami!

This guy is completely beyond saving!

Slap—

"You bastard Uchiha!"

...

The Wood Dragon flew towards the Hidden Rain Village, carrying Konan and the others.

Ryou rubbed the red palm print on his face and took Konan, Nagato, and the others to see the captured Seven-Tails.

The reason the Wood Dragon was so thick was that Ryou had modified its center into a wooden chamber to imprison the Seven-Tails.

After entering the wooden chamber, Konan, Nagato, and the others looked at the insect-like giant beast firmly bound by vines.

Seven-Tails Chomei!

Nagato said, "With One Tail plus the Seven-Tails, we now have two Tailed Beasts!"

Ryou had previously told Jiraiya and the others about Shukaku being captured, and Nagato and Konan had heard it at the time as well.

They were no exception; Sunagakure is the weakest of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, and with their strength, they couldn't withstand Ryou, who possessed Wood Release.

Ryou thought to himself that there was more; the Three-Tails and the Six-Tails of Kirigakure were likely also under Madara's control.

Before they knew it, nearly half of the Tailed Beasts were in their possession.

"The advantage is mine!"

Konan analyzed, "We were able to capture One Tail and the Seven-Tails because we caught the Five Great Shinobi Villages off guard, launching attacks before they could form the Shinobi Allied Forces."

"Once they form the Shinobi Allied Forces, or hear what happened to Sunagakure and Takigakure having their Tailed Beasts stolen, they will definitely be on guard."

"It won't be as easy for us to capture Tailed Beasts after that!"

Everyone nodded.

Ryou disagreed.

If Madara were to take action personally, with his unrivaled combat power and White Zetsu's superior intelligence-gathering abilities, nothing in the Shinobi World could stop him from capturing the Tailed Beasts.

Ryou looked at Konan, Nagato, and the others: "Do you really desire the illusory world of the Eye of the Moon Plan?"

Shirakawa nodded without a second thought: "Of course! The illusory world is great, the illusory world is wonderful. We of Kusagakure are determined to follow Lord Madara."

Ryou's Sharingan spun, directly hypnotizing Shirakawa into speaking his true thoughts.

"Uchiha Madara, that huge idiot, has really lost his mind, actually wanting to drag the entire world into an illusory world?"

"I hope that bastard Uchiha Ryou can keep his promise and let the people of Kusagakure escape the Infinite Tsukuyomi and the control of the illusion when the time comes."

Ryou glared: "How dare you! To think you harbor such treasonous thoughts. It seems you're looking to eat seaweed egg drop soup. Someone, drag him away and beat him!"

"Beat him until he smokes!"

Vines extended from inside the Wood Dragon, dragging Shirakawa away to be whipped.

Shirakawa screamed miserably.

Ryou looked at Mui and Chizu.

The two of them were immediately scared off like rabbits.

Mui and Chizu actually didn't quite agree with the Eye of the Moon Plan; although an illusory world sounds good, it is ultimately an unreal world.

It is a world of beautiful dreams from which everyone would never wake up for their entire lives.

Buddhists say the world after death is a world of ultimate bliss; so, would entering an illusory world be equivalent to entering that world of bliss after death?

A dream you never wake up from is equivalent to death!

The strength of living does not come from shouting or attacking, but from enduring.

To endure the responsibilities life bestows upon us, to endure the happiness and suffering, the boredom and mediocrity that reality gives us.

Life itself has no meaning; it only has whatever meaning you are able to give it.

Mui and Chizu had been scared off by Ryou's gaze, so Ryou looked toward Konan and Nagato.

Nagato was once the host of the Rinnegan; now, without its suppression, the bloodline advantages of the Uzumaki Clan began to manifest.

People with vast amounts of chakra are difficult to control with Genjutsu.

Nagato's Genjutsu resistance is very high.

Ryou asked Nagato: "Nagato, do you really want to create an illusory world?"

Nagato countered: "Ryou, what do you mean by that? Do you not agree with Madara's Eye of the Moon Plan?"

Ryou also countered: "Nagato, what do you think of me as a person?"

Nagato thought for a moment and gave a very balanced evaluation: "Quite the beast!"

"Exactly!"

Ryou nodded, found a wooden stump to sit on, and rested his chin on his hand while looking at the Seven-Tails.

"What happens to the world is none of my business. I only look after my own days and live my own life."

Nagato criticized Ryou: "How can you be so selfish?!"

"With such great power, why don't you think about building the world and letting more people live better lives?"

Ryou shrugged: "If everyone lives a good life, it's the same as everyone living a hard life. If everyone is rich, it means no one is rich."

"Humans, as a species, love to gain a sense of superiority from those who are worse off than themselves."

Nagato shook his head: "No—"

Konan sat down nearby, resting her chin on her hand as she watched the argument between Ryou and Nagato.

She suddenly felt a blissful sense of incongruity.

Where did this feeling come from?

Konan suddenly saw a shadow of Yahiko in Ryou, making her feel as if she had returned to the past when she, Nagato, and Yahiko lived and relied on each other for survival.

It wasn't that Ryou and Yahiko were alike, but rather that Ryou had taken over that leading position in Konan and Nagato's hearts.

But Ryou and Yahiko were different types of people.

Yahiko's dream was world peace.

While Ryou only cared about living for his own pleasure!

One selfless, one selfish; one on the left, one on the right.

Who is the truth of this world?

Perhaps it's Ryou!

Because Yahiko is already dead.

Thinking of Yahiko, Konan fell silent again.
