Chapter 75 - Ch 75- Cooperation

Hestia Restaurant, kitchen.

After successfully obtaining two membership cards, Ais came to the kitchen to find Cain.

"Your captain wants to see me?"

Cain, who was chopping vegetables, nodded: "Sure. Tell him to come over."

"..."

Ais, who was just about to explain the ins and outs of the situation, froze, a look of confusion appearing on her face.

He agreed so decisively?

He was the captain of the Loki Familia, after all; shouldn't Cain ask why Finn wanted to see him?

"There's no need to explain too much. He's coming to see me for nothing more than to talk about you."

Seeming to have guessed what Ais was confused about, Cain's voice sounded again.

"Don't worry, I'm a man of my word. Once I've collected the tuition, I'll be responsible until the end."

"Bring your captain over, and I'll help you resolve the matter of learning the Breathing Technique."

"...Thank you."

"Rather than just thanking me with words, I'd prefer you to work harder and bring me more business."

"I understand."

Ais nodded her little head.

After saying goodbye to Cain, Ais arrived at the private room on the third floor of the restaurant to find Finn.

"He wants me to go to the kitchen to see him?"

"Yeah, Cain is busy cooking, so if you want to meet, you have to go to the kitchen."

"Alright."

Finn's expression was a bit subtle.

His original plan was to use Ais to set up a time with Cain and chat slowly in a couple of days.

But he hadn't expected Cain's response to be faster than he imagined, deciding to meet today directly.

Since that was the case, he had no choice but to keep the appointment.

"Hey! Ais, where are you going?"

Seeing Ais turn to leave after Finn had departed, Bete, who was drinking, frowned.

"You aren't going to the bar again, are you?"

"Yeah, I have to work until night."

Ais nodded with a calm expression.

She ignored the wolf-kin youth who had a look of wanting to say something more.

After giving her reply, she left the private room and walked toward the first-floor bar.

"Tch! Unbelievable!"

Bete picked up his glass and gulped down a mouthful: "What's so good about this kind of job! Why does Ais have to waste her time on this stuff!"

"Compared to diving into the Dungeon to fight every day, I think this is actually quite nice," came Tiona's voice from not far away.

Hearing her words, the frustrated Bete snorted coldly: "What stupid things are you saying! A true powerhouse needs to use every second to train!"

Tione chuckled: "Then why are you sitting here? Following your theory, shouldn't you be training in the Dungeon right now?"

Tione nodded in agreement: "Bete, you should go train in the Dungeon. It would save the captain some money to buy expedition supplies."

"If Ais wants to work, let her. Having different experiences is a good thing for her," Riveria added to the conversation.

"A good thing? You don't understand anything!"

Bete frowned, his expression growing more dissatisfied.

However, just as he was about to say something more, Gareth suddenly patted his head.

"Kid, don't argue while eating. You don't want to be strung up, do you?"

"..."

Bete fell silent.

If it were anyone else, he could talk back, but with Gareth, he really couldn't do anything.

With a slightly annoyed pout, he pulled a new bottle of divine wine from under the table.

Since things had come to this, he might as well drink.

...

On the other side.

After leaving the private room, Finn quickly arrived at the restaurant's kitchen.

Pushing aside the curtain and entering the kitchen, Cain's figure came into view.

At this moment, Cain, who was chopping vegetables, was wrapped in golden electric arcs, his arm moving like a blur.

In just an instant, a large amount of shredded radish flew into the air and landed on a plate not far away.

"Captain, we have a guest," noted a member of the Soma Familia who was helping out nearby, reminding him.

"Come on over since you're here."

Cain called out to Finn without stopping the movements of his hands.

Seeing this, Finn didn't mind, and while observing Cain's movements, he walked toward the other party.

"Good afternoon, Captain Finn."

After Finn approached, Cain took a moment to take a box of biscuits from his bosom and tossed it over.

"You couldn't have eaten the desserts from the free tasting area when you came in, right? Taste and see how they are."

"Then I won't be polite."

Finn reached out and caught the biscuit box.

In fact, just as Cain said.

He and the other members of the Loki Familia had not gone to the free tasting area to sample the desserts.

The reason was simple, there were too many people.

One or two people would be fine, but for dozens of people to all go to the free tasting area to freeload was somewhat inappropriate.

However, before entering the restaurant, he had seen the bustling scene in the free tasting area.

Looking at the biscuit box in his hand, Finn opened the lid, took out a rabbit-shaped biscuit, and popped it into his mouth.

"Hm? This taste..."

Having traveled the world and tasted countless delicacies, Finn was stunned for a moment before he came back to his senses.

"Did you make all these biscuits?"

"Yeah, give them a rating."

"Very delicious, to the point of a perfect score."

"Then it's a bit early for you to give a perfect score."

Cain let out a light laugh: "The portion you ate isn't a normal dessert, but Compressed Biscuits I made for filling your stomach while exploring the Dungeon."

"Compressed Biscuits?"

Finn's expression became serious.

He, of course, knew what Compressed Biscuits were.

In fact, when the Loki Familia went on an expedition, they would also prepare similar dry rations to carry with them.

It was just that compared to Cain's Compressed Biscuits, the taste of their dry rations was not nearly as good.

Carefully sensing his physical condition, Finn gained a rough understanding of the effect of the Compressed Biscuits.

"Cain, how long does it take you to make these Compressed Biscuits? What's the approximate selling price?"

"The price list is here, take a look yourself."

Cain finally stopped what he was doing and handed over the price list he had prepared long ago.

"Aside from Compressed Biscuits, I also have energy bars of different flavors for sale."

"As for the speed of making these, you don't need to worry. As long as there is a recipe, others can make this level of food too."

"Others can make them if they have the recipe?"

Finn's expression became increasingly serious.

Cain's words were basically implying that these Compressed Biscuits could be popularized on a large scale.

Considering the taste and effect of the Compressed Biscuits, he realized two things at this moment.

The Hestia Familia had a very bright future.

Cain had anticipated that he would come to find him; this list was prepared specifically for him.

Looking at the long list of prices in his hand, Finn pondered for a moment before tucking it into his bosom.

"Regarding the Compressed Biscuits and energy bars, I will compile the numbers and place an order later."

"No problem, as long as you don't suddenly place an order the day before the expedition."

Cain's expression remained calm, as if signing a big deal wasn't enough to make him happy.

Returning to the stove, he exerted a little force while holding the frying pan, and the steak inside flipped over.

"Let's get back to the main topic. You came to see me about Ais, right?"

"Yes, but before that, I need to apologize for what happened this morning."

Finn's expression turned serious: "Tione and the others were sent by me to investigate Ais. I bear responsibility for them following her into the Hestia Familia."

"Cain, if you have any requirements, you can tell me. As long as it doesn't violate my personal principles, I can do you a favor for free."

"You're quite sincere."

Cain glanced at him: "Then lend me Tione and the others for a few days."

Finn did not agree immediately: "Can you tell me what you want to do?"

"Nothing much, it's just that the basic Breathing Technique has already been taught, and I plan to take Ais for actual combat training in the Dungeon starting tomorrow."

Cain poured the steak from the pan onto a plate, garnished it slightly, and handed it to Finn: "The duration will be until the Loki Familia's expedition. How about that?"
