"There is more, but I rather not get into it."
Noah said while showing a saddened expression. He sat down at one of the chairs in Kevin's room and sighed.
"But, if you want to know, don't judge me for the choices made ok?"
Kevin nodded but he swallowed and readied myself of the truth that Noah was about to say.
Noah rubbed his ringers across the table as if seeing if there was dust there before he crossed his legs and closed his eyes as if he didn't want to see Kevin's expression.
"I joined the Satanic cult so they can fix my mana problem, I don't know why I haven't died but I am still Noah, I not only remember everything I also understand everything I have done and the regrets I had."
Noah said ready to hear what Kevin is going to say. Kevin stayed silent and just clench his fist. He looked as if he knew Noah was lying about being noah but he would not risk it.
"I am Noah, how could I not be?"
Kevin looked at Noah with a stare and the response was his head tilting a bit as if he was confused by Kevin's suspicions and scared if there was something really wrong with him.
"Are you Noah?"
Noah nodded and waited for Kevin to say something but he just stayed silent for a bit before he wanted to ask something else.
"Wait joined the cult? Isn't that too harsh? I thought the ones like Satan are rumored to be crazy."
Noah has a wave as if trying to take away the stress.
"Ah about that, it was my sister's idea. I originally thought it was rather crazy but they were rather nice, it seems more like a community service group. Plus they said I can leave after healing."
Kevin was rather anxious and started pacing around the room. Noah was trying to calm him down and saying that this was the reason they didn't want to tell him that. Then he said something else that caught Kevin's attention.
"As a after effect it seems like im more sensitive to the mana flow. My professor for my 5:30 pm course is an anomaly. Any advice?"
Kevin was shocked by more things. And quickly he grabbed out a bundle of paper.
Noah looked through it and saw different things that correspond to different compass accidents.
"Have you been investigating this school? Are you in the FBI?"
Noah said while trying to leave as fast as possible as if he had made a mistake in telling him part truth.
"Is that how you knew I had other stuff?"
Kevin grabbed Noah before violently shaking his head as if he was trying to clear the misunderstanding.
"Don't be crazy, I've found discrepancies when I was bored while hacking the wifi to see what people were doing on their electronics. It was weird so I thought to check out the links that was appearing a rather good amount of times. It seems like it's a forum for a group of people that discuss weird things on campus so I started investigating it."
Noah sighed a relief before he sat back down. Kevin quickly started to add to his story.
" It seems as if it goes really deep so I thought I would try finding more people. It is connected to the church and the government so I thought you would be a part of it, but judging from your reaction that isn't true."
Kevin said as if he understood new found knowledge and the fact Noah had told him about his professor.
No, I knew. I found the location of the field on the exact website. I stumbled upon it after seeing you go to the link while we were studying together. You were always the nosy type
"Wait, so you want to investigate this? Isn't this better left alone? We aren't strong hunters. Also you said it was connected to powerful people."
Just a little push, and it will work out perfectly for me.
Noah had been thinking to himself while trying to get involved.
Kevin was thinking again and replied to Noah's concerns with certainty.
"Don't worry, if you don't want to you don't need to, it's just it seems as if you are already involved so I think it's better for us both."
Kevin said while trying to make Noah feel less pressured on joining his investigation.
Noah gave a slight look of thought before he nodded and said he would join them only on a few conditions, he quickly grabbed out a piece of paper.
"I'll use this as a precaution."
It was a contract paper, Kevin understood this and was prepared for some crazy conditions. But Noah had no intention of extracting everything from Kevin.
"First no one has to know I am involved but you, since I am closely connected with the two parties you are trying to find info on, i dont want to get backlashes by what you and your group are doing. Well I am assuming you have a group."
Kevin nodded to that assumption and also understood what the fist condition was asking for so he let him continue on.
"Second, if you want to meet up and I am in a position where I won't be able to go, don't force me to go. Also about the meeting I will be hiding my identity with a mask."
Kevin nodded again to the condition and grabbed a share as if he was preparing for a list of things.
"Last thing, help me get rid of the anomaly that is inside of my professor. I had thought of going to the government and reporting this, but I would be suspicious. So solve this issue and I am willing to join you until I wish to quit."
Kevin smiled and grabbed the contract that contained the conditions and he began to list his condition and rules of the group.
"There isn't a ton, since we are all trying to investigate we have a mutual understanding of things. Let's start with the first thing, no one knows but us and if someone wants another person's help they can ask in person only. We meet up by an abandoned train track, since no one goes there it is all good, it also is rather open so we will know if anyone is around."
Noah stayed silent as if he was waiting for Levin to continue on after he had paused waiting for any questions that he could answer.
"Next, don't dig too deep about the other people, be prepared for crazy information, and finally once a part of the group you can rely on us whenever you wish. Even if you quit, you can always rely on us. Like friends."
Noah smiled at the last moment.
Rather kind, Satan, how shall we start the plan?
[I'll provide the spell for the anomaly extraction]
