Noah is now wearing a mask, a goat mask. Actually it was masks that was mass produced by the Satanic Cult. Surprisingly a lot of followers had been using them over the years, so he had also bought one too. The main part was that he was using it to keep his identity a secret and the mask has it's uses.
So now Noah was standing in a suspicious forest that was off the campus surrounded by strangers who were all wearing different masks. Somehow they all ended up wearing different masks.
Everyone held a flashlight while the leader of the group who was wearing a fox mask. That leader was none other than his friend Kevin.
Kevin is the leader of some secret organization?
So Kevin started to lead the group of people to an abandoned house.
Before that Kevin had driven Noah who had been told to bring a bag with him if he wanted and to get into his car. So the two of them parked about a mile away from the forest and started to walk there. What was weirder was the fact Kevin had used magic to camouflage the car which was parked on the grass beside the road.
Now the 5 of them had gone underground, they were going through a passageway and passed some weird markings on the wall. It was weird for everyone but Noah. He knew the language, rather that he knew the language; it was that his world had that same usage of symbols.
Is using symbols for communication also used in this world? Actually if I remember correctly from Hearth's memories it seems like the Egyptians had used this form as well. For my world ancient creatures like elves and ware wolves had used them to record knowledge and traditions. Well until they adopted writing them down with Avionic, the most commonly used form of writing.
Kevin stopped at a massive door, it was most likely 30 foot tall, at least seen from the shadows that came from the light from the flashlights. As each flashlight shined on the door there were some patterns on it, some swirls and rectangular shapes that were positioned in the middle but rather wide that it was spread throughout the door's design.
Kevin turned off his flashlights and soon everyone followed his lead and then everything went black and silence filled the area.
Before anything was said Kevin used his light magic to create orbs of light, he moved his head and the lights started to follow his directions.
The lights, now 24 orbs surrounded the sides of the door, then suddenly the door started to open. The loud movement of it started to shake the ground but it was not enough that they had to duck for shelter.
Soon the doors were wide open and the view of the inside could be seen. It looked like a massive castle, an underground castle.
"Follow me to the main room where our meeting will be held. We will continue this each month for the next 6 months."
Everyone nodded and I followed the gesture. Slowly everyone of us followed Kevin through the castle. They had passed different rooms, mostly the rooms looked like guest rooms but they had entered a giant throne room. There was a table, a table for 24 people, and at one end there was a giant throne.
The table was red, it had looked black before Kevin had shone light onto the area. Now he had lit up this room with 24 flames lit lanterns across the hall. They were massive and then Kevin lit the chairs for everyone to sit on above them. Kevin walked to a chair nearest to the throne before he lit up 2 seats. The two that were closest to the throne and the other 3 were on Noah's left side.
"Meet our newest member, Mr. Wrath."
Kevin said while the other 3 people started whispering among themselves. One of the three had stopped and greeted Noah before another just laid his head down on the table. It looked as though they had been friends for a rather long time, that made Noah feel a bit like an outsider.
"Whats the point of this new member? Wasn't the 4 of us enough?"
Another one said, he wore a lion mask while he had his legs crossed while he leaned back on his chair.
"Isn't this too much work? How would you know if he won't betray us?"
This time it was the person with the snail mask. This guy was still holding his hold on the table and yawning while he seemed as though he would fall asleep any minute.
"Don't be mean, I'm sure it's better to have more people, plus Mr. Fox has been doing most of the work. We need another to help out."
Unlike the other guys this one was a girl, although her voice sounded more high pitched it seems like she had a voice changer. Actually all of them had a voice changer.
"Can we get back to the topic of why I called this meeting?"
Kevin said rather annoyed, well to others he goes by Mr Fox. He was sitting there with his arms crossed and he acted exactly like how he remembered Kevin to act.
No change at all. Interesting. Now get to the part where we can't get rid of the parasite. This feels like I'm part of some children's role-play. At least it's fancy
Kevin waited for everyone to stop talking before he started to talk about their plan.
"We found one of the researchers, the one who stole the experiment subject from the lab."
Kevin said and everyone had froze, everyone aside from Noah, rather he looked unfazed and just sat there on his chair with no change of breathing or heartbeat. What they didn't know was that he had no idea what was going on, and he had no context for why the others reacted that way to Kevin's statement.
