Vanessa's Point of View
Supremo gathered all of us in the gymnasium. All of us, not just the people involved in the cafeteria incident. Every single student of Hell University and the SSG officers were there, except for Zein. None of us knew where Supremo had taken her. We didn't bother trying to figure out where he brought her either because we trusted him. All we knew for sure was that it wasn't the clinic.
Matt let out a heavy sigh. He brushed his palms over his face in frustration and muttered a curse. Jerome placed a hand on his shoulder as if trying to calm him down. "I hate them," Mia sobbed quietly.
I was clenching my fists so hard, trying to hold back. Or else I'd be slamming the faces of every student who bullied Zein earlier into a wall, especially that fucking bitch Roxane and that bastard Angel. Fuck them both.
"Aren't we going to look for Zein?" Dave asked. "Can we really trust Supremo?"
"There's nothing else we can do but trust him at this point," Matt replied. "I know he won't let anything happen to her."
I couldn't help but smile at how Matt never interfered with Ace and Zein, even though Ace was his rival for Zein's heart. Most guys wouldn't have done the same. As long as Zein was okay, nothing else mattered to him.
"What happens now?" Jerome asked. None of us could answer. We had no idea. The gym was packed, but not a single sound could be heard. Everyone seemed to be holding their breath.
"I can't take this anymore!" Roxane shouted out of nowhere, standing right at the front. "Why are we even afraid of that guy?!" No matter how much she tried to act tough, the fear in her eyes gave her away. What a fucking bitch. She was only brave when she had people to back her up. "Ace Craige is still an ordinary student like us!" Roxane shouted, looking around as if searching for an ally. "He's not Madame Violet or Mr. Francisco! Without his position, he is nothing!"
"Watch your words, Roxane." Angel stood up.
"Why?! Oh! You're actually the one to blame for this! You want Zein dead so you can have Supremo all to yourself!"
Angel slapped Roxane across the face. Just as I thought—Angelica was just as evil as the rest of them. She knew she stood no chance against Zein in Ace's heart, so she tried to kill her. Pathetic bitch. She didn't know how to fight fair. Oh well, even if she did fight fair, she'd still lose to Zein Shion. She wasn't even on her level.
"How dare you?! I am the queen here!"
"I don't fucking care. Say one more bad thing about Supremo and I'll slap you again."
"You... bitch!"
Then they started pulling each other's hair. Go ahead. Hurt each other, just don't kill each other yet, okay? I thought to myself. I still want to see you suffer and pay for what you did to my friend. They both froze when guys wearing black masks entered. The students started protesting, clearly worried. Even I was shocked. It was unlikely for the gangs to show up in broad daylight. Why was the Black Blood Gang here? What were they doing? At the very end of the line was Nazzer Lumia, unmasked. He stopped for a second and looked at us, though his gaze settled on Matt. He smirked before walking on. Their presence was so heavy, especially Nazzer Lumia. At first glance, he looked like a simple student. An innocent once. Everyone would've never guessed he was one of the sources of fear in this place.
"What did you guys even do?" a red-haired BBG member asked with a chuckle. "Why'd you have to piss him off? Tsk tsk."
"Annoying as always," Dave whispered.
"Man, if y'all had seen Supremo earlier? Tsk. You guys are really in trouble." The red-haired guy laughed, but stopped when Nazzer glared at him.
Did Supremo call them here? Why? What was he planning that BBG had to get involved in? I noticed a girl with long hair standing beside Nazzer. She was masked, but I could feel her deep, dark eyes staring at us. We hadn't fully recovered from the sudden appearance of the Black Blood Gang when another group entered the gym. Guys in red masks.
"What the—Devil God Warriors?!" Mia said, shocked.
I kept my mouth shut, staring at the guy in front. Raze Silvenia. Roxane stood up and threw her arms around Raze. "I'm so glad you're here. Save me," she said tearfully to Raze, who didn't react at all.
The truth surfaced—she was faking it all along. She was actually terrified of what Ace might do to her. Good. As she should. "Please save me," Roxane begged.
"Sorry. I can't do anything about this," Raze replied flatly.
I smirked when Roxane stomped her feet in frustration, bolting toward the gym exit. I was about to stand up to chase her when I saw who was standing right at the exit, blocking the way. Supremo. The way he stood there, quiet and cold, showed just how much power he held. I even thought Supremo Ace's aura was a terrifying combination of both Raze and Nazzer.
"S-Supremo..." Roxane froze.
"Go back to your seat," Supremo ordered coldly. Roxane had no choice but to comply.
Supremo continued to the very front of the gymnasium. He stood between the BBG and DGW, as if he were the shield preventing a war between the two groups. He even looked like he was leading both gangs. Damn! How did he get them to follow him? Was the SSG president really this powerful?
"Supremo. Sorry," Angelica said, sounding like she was about to cry.
Sorry your ass, bitch. "I am not asking you to apologize. I want you to pay the consequences of what you did," Supremo replied coldly without even looking at her.
"Are these really 'consequences'?" Roxane asked. "Or are you just furious because your favorite secretary got hurt?"
"What?" Fritzy shouted from the crowd. "I'm Supremo's favorite secretary!"
"Shut up, Fritzy." Roxane raised an eyebrow. "Has Supremo ever defended you even once?"
Fritzy's mouth hung open, as if she wanted to say something. But she just closed it and slumped back down next to Vice Ty, crossing her arms.
"You are giving Zein Shion special treatment," Roxane accused firmly. "We only did that because we care about you, Supremo. She hurt you—"
"Speak again," Supremo cut in, "and that will be your final warning, Ms. Allister."
"Supremo..." Angelica wailed, collapsing into her seat.
Keep up the drama. Cry all you want until you're crying blood. You made Zein bleed, and now you'll pay for it. You endangered her life, and now your own is on the line. "All students involved in the earlier commotion at the cafeteria, you know who you are, stand up," Supremo ordered. Only a few stood up. The faces familiar to me stayed seated. Supremo let out a sigh. "One..."
Before he even got to "two," everyone involved was already on their feet. Roxane stood up angrily. "Who do you think you are to order us around?! I am the queen!"
"Not anymore," Supremo replied, smirking as Roxane's jaw fell open.
I burst out laughing, which made her turn to me. She was gritting her teeth while giving me a death stare. Come on, walk over here. Fuck you, I'm dying to get back at you, bitch. "I am giving the crown to Zein Shion as the new queen of Hell University," Supremo declared, a statement that left the entire room speechless with our mouths hanging open. It took me a moment to realize that Zein, my best friend, was now the crowned queen of Hell University. The more they tried to drag her down, the higher she seemed to soar.
"W-what? You can't do this," Roxane protested, shaking with rage and disbelief.
"Of course I can," Supremo answered casually. "I put you there, and I can take you out."
"I declare Matthew Hart as the new king of Hell University," Raze suddenly blurted out. Everything was happening too fast, and it was hard to keep up. Zein and Matt... the new royalties of Hell University? Like... what the fuck? I looked at Matt, who had absolutely no reaction.
"I have the new list of the Highest 10." Supremo showed the paper he was holding. "I now stand above the rest." Supreme Ace Craige now led the entire Hell University. "Next to me is Raze Silvenia, leader of the Devil God Warriors."
"The pleasure is mine, Supremo," he said, giving a slight bow. He made the leader of the DGW bow. Holy fuck. Why did he seem so high up now? Was being the SSG president really that powerful? Could he just command anyone?
"In third place is Nazzer Lumia." Nazzer gave a slight bow as well. "Next to Mr. Nazzer Lumia is the new queen of Hell University, the secretary of the Supreme Student Government. From ninth place, Ms. Zein Shion is now ranked fourth, which was previously held by Mr. Rouge Silvenia."
I couldn't help but curse. She wasn't just an ordinary student anymore. Zein Shion was now one of the highest here. "That's our friend! The more you try to bring her down, the more you keep pushing her higher. Well, thanks!" I shouted as I stood proudly, my tone laced in sarcasm, making everyone look. So what? My friend was the queen, the fourth highest student, and the SSG secretary. Who wouldn't be a proud friend? Hmp!
"Just sit down, you're being scandalous," Jerome said, pulling me back into my seat.
"Fifth is still the Supreme Student Government vice president, Mr. Onel Ty," Supremo said, looking at Vice Ty.
"Thank you, Supremo," he replied.
"Next is..." Supremo let out a sigh. "Mr. Liam Rivera."
My mouth dropped as Liam stood up and bowed to Supremo. He was part of the Highest 10? How did that happen? I barely even noticed him. I honestly thought Hell University would remain the same without him.
"Show off," Jerome whispered.
"He's included, Van?" Mia asked.
"How should I know?" I shrugged.
"Maybe because he's handsome," Dave suggested.
"He's handsome?" Jerome laughed. "He looks like a ghost."
"In seventh place is the new king of Hell University. The coleader of the Black Blood Gang, Mr. Matthew Hart."
We went silent. Matt had already told us that he joined the Black Blood Gang and that he did it to have the power to protect us, especially Zein. He proved to Nazzer that he deserved the position, and as long as he was a member, no one would dare touch Zein. Matt stood up and walked to the front. We all watched him bow to Supremo, and they spoke for a moment. A tiny smile crossed Supremo's lips before Matt walked back to us, still quiet.
"Next is the former Supreme Student Government secretary, Ms. Fritzy Saldivar." Fritzy stood up and strutted to the front, wearing a huge smile and waving, acting like she was in a beauty pageant. "I'm totally going to be Zein Shion's slave now. Imagine? She is still a newbie, but she made it to the highest ranks. And what's even crazier is... she's now the queen of Hell University!" she bragged, looking at Roxane who just rolled her eyes.
I couldn't help but chuckle. Even if Fritzy was a bit of a brat, at least she was real and didn't have to pretend to be an angel—unlike someone in this crowd. "Are they friends now?" Mia asked, confused.
"Next is the queen of the Black Blood Gang, Ms. Nicky Colt." The girl next to Nazzer took off her mask, faced him, grabbed the back of his neck, and kissed him.
"Eww!" I blurted out. A smack would have been romantic, but they were full-on making out. That girl was something else.
"Boss, come on. Can you guys save the kissing for later? We're in public. Live," the red-haired guy said, laughing. Nicky raised an eyebrow at him, while Nazzer gave him a death glare. The red-haired guy cleared his throat and backed away. "Okay, okay. Just like I said, I'm staying out of your business."
"Last but not least, in tenth place is Mr. Jerome Marquez." I didn't say anything. Jerome looked at me, but I didn't look back, keeping my eyes on Supremo as he crumpled the paper in his hand.
"Now..." With only that word, he had everyone's attention again. A terrifying smile crept onto his lips, his gaze traveling over the standing students one by one. "W-what are you going to do to us, Supremo?" Angelica asked, trembling.
"Listen, Black Blood Gang and Devil God Warriors," he began. "Remember every single face you see standing here. For the next week, they are your targets. I don't care if it's morning. I don't care if the moon isn't out yet. You touch no one else but them. And if you're wondering if you can kill them... Yes. Of course."
Some students collapsed into their seats, unable to believe the price they were paying for one mistake. I knew it. Blood for blood, a life for a life. They were going to pay for their sins much more than what they did. I warned them that they didn't know who they were messing with, but they didn't listen. Now the gangs won't give them any peace. Their lives are now in danger.
"This is your punishment, and this is an order from the highest Supreme Student Government. Dismissed."
