When my eyes opened, I noticed that I was in a massive bed that was too big to be from my original house. So, I knew that I had not been dreaming about the fact that I had been given away to a dark god by my own people.
I was wearing only a thin black bra and matching underwear when I woke up from my sleep. I became too distracted by a scent that rushed at my nose to think about what the clothing that I could wear today. This scent was of something that I had not smelt in a very long time.
The first thing that I saw when I set up was a tray that had strips of roasted meat that was made of a blood red color. Beside that I saw a glass that contained a dark green liquid. The thought that someone had prepared me meat was very thoughtful because where I grew up meat was super rare, and most of it was used by the ascended blood elves in either alchemy or rituals which made it very hard to ever get any for personal consumption.
It did not take me long to consume the meat due to the rarity of me getting to eat it I did not let it go to waste. Then I took a sip of the green liquid and I noticed that despite the odd texture it seemed to boost my energy. Due to the boost that it gave me I quickly finished it by ignoring the rough texture as it slid down my throat.
Since I was done eating my breakfast, I chose to use this time to explore the castle that was going to be my new home, but before I left the room, I made sure that I grabbed one of the vials that were inside the cabinet in my room and put it around my neck. I did not know why I chose to do this but I felt drawn to it.
I use a small knife that was in the cabinet that had the vials to make a tiny prick on my right thumb and allowed the blood to drop in the vial that was around my neck. As the fresh blood contacted the clear liquid in the vial, I could hear a low hum for a few seconds before it went silent. Now that I had my vial of blood that I could use to make the day easier to handle. As I put the vile around my neck, I felt a lot more secure in this new home.
Next, I made my way to the walk-in closet that was to the right of the cabinet that contained the vials.
When I opened the closet, I could tell that it was very organized with the dresses hung up to my left. To my right there were cases of earrings with a variety of shapes, but they were all colored silver or a bold red color. Against the rear of it there were a lot of different colored underwear on display.
I first got my underwear changed. I grabbed three different colors and tried each of them on. It took me a bit of time to compare how each of them made me feel. After a bit of time, I chose to go with the red underwear set. Next, I grabbed one of the long black dresses that had an open back area. Then I put on a matching pair of black heals. The final thing that I did was put on a pair of ear rings that had a silver jewel in them.
Then I walked out of my bedroom and was greeted by a female who was half human half fox. She bowed at me as I looked at her.
"Hello mistress, I am here to help make your transition from your old life to your new one as swift and simple as possible." She said to me as she did a gracious bow to me.
"Are you the only one that will be helping me or will all of these other servants be helping me too?" I asked her as I noticed that there were a variety of demi-human creatures walking through the hallway.
"No, they will just be cleaning and preparing the master's morning meal. It is my job to stay with you on this day.
Now if you would follow me to the first step of your process of transforming you into the wife of master Carvis. We will be getting you your very first familiar today. Normally the creatures of the dark region would have received their first familia when they come of age, but for obvious reasons you are an exception to the norm." She said to me as she pointed to the transportation circle.
"Wait I get a companion? I thought that I was going to be learning my type of magic."
"Yes, I will be giving you over to the next person that will be helping you after we go and get your familiar."
"I will be going alone to have a look around the library" I told her as I started to walk to the lift thinking of the library of the castle.
She followed behind me but I quickly made my way to the magical lift and vanished away from her.
After the teleporting was done, I noticed that I was now in a large three floor library that had books and scrolls all over it that were divided into different sections.
I walked over to the different sections of the library looking for a topic that had something to either do with the basics of magic or reveal some of the hidden history of my race.
When I was walking through the library I had started to notice that on the third floor there were a set of symbols that surrounded a door that was leading to another room.
Most of the doors on the third floor did not open as I pulled at them. Then as I approached the door of a section that had ancient eleven symbols on it, I noticed that the symbols around the door began to glow. This door opened as I pushed against it.
This new room had a massive dark oak tree that was in the center of the room. Around the tree I saw a natural blood fountain that live blood from the spout that it went out to the four corners of the room. Then I saw a set of marble benches that had ancient elven writing on it.
What was the last thing that I had found behind this door? Whatever it was I felt drawn to it as if I was meant to find it.
I set down on the closest bench and a stand suddenly appeared in front of me rising from under the floor and stopped at eye level.
Then I grabbed the scroll that I saw on it and began to read it.
The very first of the blood elves were members of the moon elf race. They had been doing a set of forbidden dark arts with the use of ancient blood magic. One of their experiments back fired and the lab blew up. After the lab exploded the spilled blood was absorbed through their skin and they were transformed into the first blood elves as a means of punishment of their elven gods.
When the first few generations of blood elves tried to live in peace among the other elven races but they were banished due to their constant uses of dark arts that the other elven races looked down upon. After that they were exiled from the other elf clans they chose to live with the dark creatures in the dark realm.
They had quickly used their racial abilities to manipulate their body and the world around after drinking blood from their dark vials to quickly rise among the people of the dark realm.
The original blood elf to rise to take control of the demonic and creature forces of the dark realm was given the title of The Scarlet Empress. She ruled then out of fear and intimidation.
It was after her climb to the top that the demons hated how a group of outsiders that were led by a powerful individual had risen to power through their use of what the demons only called blood magic.
In the end she had been killed by her personal servant who had poisoned her alcohol that night. After that they were all forever banished from the dark realm and turned into a shell of their former selves.
I put the scroll back and I knew that it was the truth I had always been lied to by our leaders my entire life. They said that we were in this world to please a dark god and offer ourselves as sacrifices to keep the dark gods wrath at bay.
This revelation has opened my eyes that I should be mad at not only my people for betraying me, but also at the demons that betrayed their ancient rulers.
Then as I put down the scroll a red ball that glowed a dark blood red rose from under the floor behind me which caused me to rise to my feet as I heard the sound of hardwood rising behind me.
As soon as I turned around, I put both of my hands on the glowing sphere and I then felt something inside me shift and I now felt as though a key in my head turned a lock open. I had several new spells form in my head and I knew instantly that I was a blood mage.
Then I let go of the sphere and I walked out of the room now that I had found out some history of my people as well as my type of magic affinity. Now I should go and get my familiar.
When I made it back to the transporter that was in the library, I saw the fox demi human maid showed up looking at me with a look of rage across her face.
"Come on we need to get going the groundskeeper does not want to be kept waiting."
"I was just looking around the library." I said to her as I made a look to get her to be filled with a wave of sadness since she was my maid.
"You need to picture a dark forest that has bushes with black roses going out of them. The area is surrounded by a silver fence and there are a variety of wild animals roaming in the woods.
Do you have that image in your mind?" she asked me as soon as I got on the elevator.
"Yes, I do." I told her as I walked into the center of the elevator.
I pictured the scene that she had described to me and I was immediately was transported to a teleportation circle that was in front of the area she had described to me.
It was not very long before I saw the female servant on my side once again.
As soon as I walked off the teleportation platform, I noticed that the gate opened I saw a medium height devil that had almost pale white skin. His horns were partially broken which I found to be a little bit odd.
"Hello miss Syndrell, I have been tasked with assisting you with finding your first familia.
Some beings have a great struggle getting another creature to accept them as their master. I will be making this as simple as I possibly can for you."
He waved his hand for me to follow him and I did so that I could finally get my first tamed creature as soon as possible.
"What kind of creatures do you have that I can tame?" I asked him as I entered the inside of the barrier.
"The creatures very in size from a simple cat all the way to an elemental dragon. Only those that recognize you as worthy of becoming their master will allow you to form a contract with them. If they will allow you to make the contract the next step will be to choose how you make the contract with them. The more that you are willing to offer the more powerful the contract will be" he said to me as I had approached a cat-like creature that had four tails that connected at the end of their back.
As soon as I approached the creature it ran away from me as if it was terrified of me as soon as I saw me.
I failed to get the chance to tame any other creature no matter how patient I was before approaching them. When I was about to give up on the search, I found a cave that was in the back of the fenced area. Since, I really had no other options, I chose to enter the cave to find out what was inside of it.
When I entered the cave, I could hardly see anything around me. I then drank a pair of drops of blood from my vial that was around my neck, and as soon as I did the room became bright as if I was in broad daylight. The only major difference was that I saw that there were six creatures in the cave. the first one was massive in size and the other ones were about ten percent of the larger creature's size.
I made it to the back area of the cave, and I saw that there was a full-grown dragon that was black with red striped veins flowing around its body. There were also a group of young dragons around the large dragon.
Then one of the smaller dragons came over to me and looked up at me with blood red eyes that told me she wanted me as her master.
I then used my knowledge of the old ways of beast taming that I learned from the sphere to make the magical circle out of the blood that was remaining in my vile. As I finished the magic circle the baby dragon stepped into it and the logo of a dragon appeared on my right hand which meant that the contract was finalized.
After that I walked out of the cave with the baby dragon on my right shoulder, and I was happy because I finally had my first companion. The fact that the companion was a member of the dragon species meant that my destiny whatever it was about to begin.
