Chapter 4 - Entering the darkness

A few days passed.

Mom and Dad completed my admission procedure. They looked a little surprised when the faculty members started asking questions about their business and annual income.

But they assumed it was just part of the admission process.

Rishab stood beside me the whole time. In the end, he decided to enroll in SAA as well.

Scene Change

Inside the working headquarters of St. Aurelius Academy—a large restricted area where confidential documents were stored.

"Did you hear the news… about the two new students who just got admitted?" one worker whispered.

"What? Two new students? Are they from the Rich Sector?" another man asked.

"Yes, of course," the first man scoffed.

"Their families are among the most respected and wealthiest in the city."

He lowered his voice.

"But no one wants to know the dark secret of these rich families . Everyone respects them because they pretend to believe in equality…"

He paused and laughed bitterly.

"But they send their children to this academy so they can learn how to rule… so they can learn how to treat others like garbage."

The second man nodded.

"They follow only one rule—never do anything that makes you look like the lower ones. They must rule… even if it costs someone their life."

Suddenly, a faint sound came from behind the shelves.

Both men froze.

Someone had been listening.

Sweat ran down their necks. Their mouths went dry.

At that moment, they felt something terrifying.

As if… no one could save them now.

The Next Day

Both workers were found dead inside the working headquarters of St. Aurelius Academy.

The incident was kept confidential.

But rumors still spread through every corridor of the academy.

Only the Principal and the Manager knew the truth.

First Day At SAA

I couldn't believe my eyes...Me and Rishab were entering Saint Aurelius Academy.

A massive iron gate stood in front of us.

On the top of the gate, shining in golden letters, were the words:

Saint Aurelius Academy

For a moment I just stood there silently.

The campus behind the gate looked nothing like a normal school. Huge buildings made of white stone stood proudly in the center, surrounded by perfectly trimmed gardens and fountains. Tall pillars supported the main academic hall, giving the place the appearance of a royal palace rather than a school.

Students walked through different pathways in neat uniforms. Some moved confidently, as if they owned the place. Others walked quietly, avoiding eye contact.

The academy was divided into three main sections.

One side had luxurious buildings and private lounges—clearly meant for the Elite Sector.

Another section looked simpler but still well maintained—the Middle Sector.

And far behind, near the training grounds, stood the Lower Sector, separated by strict boundaries.

Even the distance between the buildings seemed to represent the difference in status

Rishab stood beside me, staring at everything with wide eyes.

"Is this really a school?" he whispered.

I smiled slightly.

"No… it looks more like a kingdom."

But deep inside, I had a strange feeling.

This place wasn't built just to educate students.

It was built to create rulers.

And today… I had just stepped into its gates.

I noticed others students entering the school with different badges on there uniforms.

Some students wore deep gold badges engraved with a rising sun, polished so brightly they caught the light with every movement.

A Few others had silver crest shaped like wings , their uniforms slight different- sharper cuts , darker fabrics.

Then there were the simple bronze emblems, they were almost invisible in the crowd .

"Is there a fashion show going on here ... Why is everyone wearing different badges as if these badges are representing there status..."!

I was too stunned to even answer Rishab's question...I just stood there...!

Then , my attention got deviated to our badges, They were golden in colour engraved with rising sun...

And I realised we are also a part if there system....this cruel system of differentiating everyone just for the sake of the Elite.

But our motive was clear.....

Even if we are a part of them ...we will be the ones who will shake this system and give all of them the freedom the want!!
