However, on the fourth day—
Everyone miraculously gathered together and began celebrating and drinking.
A larger bonfire was set up on the grass, barrels of alcohol were lined up in a row, and grilled meat was piled up like a small mountain.
The two sides who had been fighting just moments ago were now sitting together, eating meat in large bites, drinking heavily, and constantly laughing and chatting.
"Cheers!"
"Hahaha! You bastard, that slash of yours was really vicious!"
"You're not bad either! My ribs still hurt!"
"Come on, come on, let's drink!"
"The resource exchange event is starting! Who has good swords? I'll trade them for gems!"
"I do! I do! What do you think of this sword?"
The scene was incredibly lively, as if the fierce battle from before had never happened.
Teach looked at Buggy and Shanks not far away, his eyes carrying a hint of scrutiny.
"Are those two apprentice pirates?" Teach asked Marco beside him.
Marco nodded: "They've been apprentices for a long time."
Teach curled his lip disdainfully: "They look weak and fragile."
On the other side, Shanks and Buggy stood side by side.
Hearing Teach's words, Shanks raised an eyebrow:
"He's got quite an arrogant attitude."
Sweat dripped from Buggy's forehead as he whispered:
"Did you see that dark-skinned guy? That guy hasn't slept at all during the three nights of ceasefire."
Shanks was taken aback:
"Buggy, how do you know that?"
Buggy gritted his teeth:
"Damn it, it's because I watched him for three nights! And I also heard that he hasn't slept since he was born!"
Shanks widened his eyes in surprise:
"There are people like that? That's great, you can be active 24 hours a day!"
Buggy was furious:
"It's not that simple! It means he's a monster! A monster!"
Meanwhile.
Whitebeard, Kozuki Oden, Roger, and Dr. Clover gathered together.
Roger looked at the samurai across from him and suddenly spoke:
"You're Kozuki Oden, from the Kozuki Family of Wano Country, right?"
Oden nodded: "That's right, what about it?"
"Then you should be able to understand these, right?"
Roger took out a stack of rubbings and spread them on the ground.
They were the Poneglyph rubbings they had collected over the years.
Oden looked down, his eyes slightly narrowing.
"Huh? These are..."
He reached out and picked up a rubbing, examining it carefully.
Those ancient characters were like a familiar mother tongue in his eyes—he could actually understand them!
Dr. Clover slowly spoke from the side:
"Mr. Oden, as far as I know, the contents on those Poneglyphs were carved by your family's ancestors eight hundred years ago."
Oden looked up, surprise flashing in his eyes.
Dr. Clover continued:
"Later, for some unknown reason, these Poneglyphs were scattered all over the world.
The World Government forbids people from searching for these stones, with death as the penalty for violators."
Roger took over:
"We are searching for the legendary Final Island."
He pointed at the rubbings:
"By deciphering the contents of the four Red Poneglyphs, we can obtain clues to determine the location of the Final Island. Now..."
He looked at Oden and spoke word by word:
"We have already found two Red Poneglyphs. And the third Red Poneglyph is with your Kozuki Family."
Oden's eyes widened in surprise.
"What? How did you know that? The information about that Red Poneglyph has never been leaked!"
Dr. Clover looked deeply serious:
"We followed the guidance of history."
Oden fell silent.
Looking at the rubbing in his hand, at the words carved by his ancestors, an indescribable emotion welled up in his heart.
At that moment, Roger suddenly dropped to his knees with a thud.
"By deciphering the contents of the four Red Poneglyphs, we can find the Final Island that the World Government has forbidden anyone from visiting.
There must be secrets the World Government doesn't want known buried there, and possibly incredible treasure as well."
He looked up at Whitebeard:
"So, Newgate, please lend me Oden.
At most one year - once we reach the Final Island, I'll return him to you."
"We need him, and the information about his family's third Red Poneglyph."
"Please, Newgate, I'm begging you."
Kozuki Oden stared in shock at this scene.
This man who had just been fighting his captain to the point of shaking heaven and earth, this world-renowned pirate captain, was now kneeling on the ground, making such a sincere request...
"Don't do this! This is outrageous! You shouldn't bow your head to others so easily!"
Roger didn't move, remaining on his knees:
"Please, Oden."
"Don't joke around!"
Whitebeard punched the space beside him, shattering it with an ear-splitting crack. The sea suddenly surged violently.
"Roger, are you trying to steal my family member?"
Oden looked at him, his eyes pleading:
"Little Whitey, can you let me go with them?"
Whitebeard froze.
Oden explained:
"I can feel it - this is the call of destiny. Why did my ancestors carve these contents on the stone tablets? Why am I able to read these words?"
He paused, his voice firm:
"Finding that legendary Final Island might be my family's mission."
Whitebeard's expression shifted between dark and light.
Oden was one of his most important family members.
Four years of fighting side by side, four years of sharing life and death - how could he bear to let him go?
"Please, Little Whitey," Oden requested again.
Whitebeard remained silent for a long time.
Then—
"GET OUT!!!"
He roared violently, punching out with both fists and shattering the space on both sides!
CRACK—!!!
Huge fissures spread through the air, the sea shook violently, and massive waves surged.
This was his way of venting his emotions.
He and Oden were sworn brothers.
Since it was his brother's family mission, how could he stop him?
But he truly couldn't bear to let him go.
So he could only vent his emotions in this way.
Oden looked at him, his eyes slightly reddening.
"Thank you, Little Whitey."
...
At the shoreline.
The Whitebeard Pirates were seeing Kozuki Oden off.
Marco stepped forward, extending his hand and shaking Oden's firmly.
"Take care."
Oden nodded vigorously:
"I will."
Izo stood among the crowd, not stepping forward.
He was Oden's retainer, having followed Oden to the sea.
But at this moment, he chose to stay.
"I'll stay on the ship. I really like this vessel, so I'll wait here for your return, Lord Oden."
Oden looked at him and grinned:
"Suit yourself. You're already a fine pirate."
Izo smiled faintly and took a step back.
Oden turned and stepped onto the deck of the Oro Jackson.
...
Wano Country, by the shore.
The Oro Jackson slowly docked.
"Oden, are you sure you don't need us to come with you?" Roger asked.
Oden shook his head:
"No need. It's just copying the contents of the stone tablet. I'll be back soon."
He jumped off the ship and strode toward Wano Country.
Passing through mountains and forests, crossing rivers, he arrived at the Kozuki Family's castle.
Everything remained as before.
He entered the family's forbidden grounds, where the massive Red Poneglyph still stood silently.
Oden took out the rubbing paper and began copying the contents.
During this process, he faintly sensed that Wano Country had undergone tremendous changes.
But he did not stop.
Because the Kozuki Family's mission was about to be completed.
Once the rubbing was finished, he carefully stored the drawings and turned to leave.
He did not meet anyone, nor did he linger for even a moment.
Because he knew that if he stopped, he might never leave.
The Oro Jackson set sail once more.
Heading toward the final destination—
Zou Island.
