JAY'S POV
The sun was high, beating down on the backyard pool at Keifer's house. Section E had come over, laughter bouncing off the walls as everyone claimed their spots. I adjusted my white swimsuit, the fabric hugging my curves and the straps digging lightly into my shoulders. The water glistened, reflecting the sunlight, and I could feel my damp hair clinging to the back of my neck and shoulders.
Keifer didn't take his eyes off me the second I stepped onto the pool deck. My skin was glowing, slightly damp from the heat and water splashes, and I knew it—he was staring. It made my stomach flutter and my pulse spike in a way I couldn't hide.
"Jay, careful!" Ci-N called, running toward the pool. He tripped over his own feet and splashed a little water on me. I hissed lightly but laughed. "Really, Ci-N?"
"Relax, it's just water," Felix said, tossing a float into the pool with a grin.
Keifer, standing at the edge, leaned closer to me. His gaze followed every curve of my waist, my shoulders, the way the sunlight hit my damp skin. "You're driving me crazy," he murmured, voice low and rough enough for only me to hear. I shivered slightly, adjusting my hair and trying not to let him see how much his words affected me.
KEIFER'S POV
She looked irresistible in that white swimsuit. Every curve, every contour of her body glistening in the sun—it was like she was made for me to admire. Her hair was damp, sticking lightly to her neck, the sun catching the tiny droplets on her shoulders. I could barely keep my hands to myself. Section E's chaos around the pool didn't matter—I was completely focused on her.
Jay moved gracefully, stepping closer to the water, her hands brushing her hair back. I could see her hips swaying slightly as she walked, the swimsuit clinging perfectly, accentuating the glow of her skin. I wanted to reach out, touch her waist, hold her close, but instead, I stayed at the edge, letting my gaze roam, letting her feel my attention.
"You're staring," she whispered, catching my eyes. Her lips curved into a teasing smirk.
"Can't help it," I admitted, voice low. "You're… mesmerizing."
Her cheeks turned pink, and I could see the tiniest flutter of nerves—or maybe anticipation—in her eyes. That only made her more irresistible.
JAY'S POV
I tried to focus on Section E, who were now splashing each other and yelling nonsense. Ci-N was attempting a backflip and failed spectacularly, landing with a splash that sent water onto me again. I sputtered and laughed, wiping my eyes. But I could still feel Keifer's gaze, like a heat tracing every inch of me, and I knew exactly what it was doing.
He took a step closer, just enough that the heat from his body brushed mine when I leaned over to grab a float. My heart raced. Every movement I made, every little adjustment to my swimsuit or hair, seemed to make him hungrier for me.
KEIFER'S POV
She was mine to watch, and the way she carried herself… it was infuriating. Every laugh, every wet strand of hair falling onto her neck, every curve of her waist—it was too much. I wanted to wrap her in my arms, press her against me, let her feel just how insane she was making me.
"Hey, careful with that float," I said casually, but my hand brushed lightly against hers as she picked it up. Her fingers lingered near mine, and I caught the smallest intake of breath from her. I smiled slightly, knowing exactly what I was doing.
JAY'S POV
I noticed the way Keifer's eyes darkened when I moved closer. It made my stomach twist and my pulse spike. I laughed lightly, pretending not to feel the tension, but inside, I was burning. Every glance, every brush of his gaze, made my skin tingle and my thoughts scatter.
"Keifer, stop looking at me like that," I whispered, turning to dive into the water. But even underwater, I could feel him watching, waiting. My heart raced as I swam, the sunlight reflecting off the water onto my damp skin, and I knew I was driving him just as crazy as he was driving me.
SECTION E POV
The rest of Section E was chaos. Felix kept trying to splash everyone, Ci-N was failing spectacularly at backflips, and Blaster was laughing so hard he nearly fell in himself. Through all the commotion, Keifer stayed glued to Jay, making exaggerated "protective" moves whenever she got near the pool edge, causing Ci-N to snort.
"Bro, she's literally glowing," Ci-N said loudly. "Is it just me or does she look like a literal goddess in that swimsuit?"
Felix laughed. "Dude, careful! Keifer's gonna eat you alive if you keep talking."
Jay giggled from the water, covering her face with her hands, but I could tell she was loving the attention. And Keifer? He just smirked, crossing his arms but clearly simmering with desire, eyes never leaving her figure.
KEIFER'S POV
She dove into the water and emerged, droplets glistening on her skin, hair plastered to her back. I could feel the heat rising in my chest. Every move she made, every playful splash, every laugh—it was intoxicating. I wanted her here, in my arms, feeling her warmth and wet skin against mine. But for now, I had to be patient, watch her, tease her with my stare, and let the tension build.
Jay was driving me insane. And I loved it.
