AUTHOR'S POV
The front door opened.
"We're ho—"
The voice cut off abruptly.
I didn't wake.
But they saw.
Kegain's eyes widened instantly as he looked at the couch—at us. Without wasting a second, he slapped his hand over Keiren's mouth, dragging him back slightly.
They both stared.
Jay and Keifer—completely tangled together, his arm around her, her face tucked into him like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Keiren tried to speak again.
Failed.
Kegain just shook his head slowly.
Then—
They ran.
Minutes later, the house was no longer quiet.
But we didn't know.
Not yet.
They came back.
Not alone.
Section E followed behind them, trying to stay quiet but clearly failing. Ci-N was already trying not to laugh, Felix had his phone ready, and Blaster looked like he was about to explode from excitement.
They all crept closer.
Closer.
Closer.
Standing right in front of the couch.
Watching.
Waiting.
Keifer stirred first.
His arm tightened slightly around her, pulling me even closer without opening his eyes. Jay's head shifted slightly against him, but still didn't wake.
He exhaled softly, still half-asleep, his hand moving slightly along her side before settling again.
Then he opened his eyes.
Slowly.
He didn't notice them.
Didn't see anything.
All he saw—
Was her. Jay
He looked down, his expression softening instantly, his hand moving gently to her hair, brushing it away from her face.
Then he leaned down—
And kissed her head.
Behind him—
Silent chaos.
Ci-N clutched Felix's arm.
Drew covered his own mouth.
David was slapping Blaster arm, trying not to make a sound
Kegain and Keiren looked like they were about to pass out.
JAY'S POV
I shifted slightly, my eyes slowly opening.
Everything felt warm.
Soft.
Safe.
I blinked, still half-asleep, my voice quiet.
"Morning…"
Keifer let out a small breath, a faint smile forming.
"Afternoon, you mean."
I let out a soft laugh, still not fully awake, my head tilting slightly as I looked up at him.
Then suddenly—
He moved.
His hand slid to my waist, pulling me closer as he shifted over me, his face lowering toward mine. My breath caught, my hands instinctively resting against his chest.
And then—
He kissed me.
Slow at first.
Then deeper.
Like he forgot everything else.
A loud squeal cut through the air.
"OH MY GOD—"
We froze.
Both of us pulling apart instantly.
My eyes widened as I turned—
And saw them.
All of them.
Standing there.
Watching.
My face burned.
"What are you all doing here?!"
David pointed dramatically.
"YOU GUYS WERE—"
Felix cut in.
"Cuddling. Kissing. Breathing the same air."
Ci-n gasped.
"I KNEW IT."
Keiren grinned.
"We caught you."
Kegain nodded proudly.
"Caught."
I buried my face in my hands.
Keifer just leaned back slightly, completely unbothered.
Eventually, the chaos turned into something worse.
A game.
"Hide and seek."
I immediately shook my head.
"No."
Too late.
Kegain and Keiren were already counting.
I ran.
Fast.
Looking around for somewhere—anywhere—to hide. My heart was still racing, not just from running, but from everything before.
I turned a corner—
And walked straight into something solid.
A chest.
Strong hands grabbed me instantly, one hand covering my mouth before I could make a sound.
I froze.
Then recognized him.
Keifer.
He pulled me quickly into a small cloak room, closing the door behind us.
The space was tiny.
Too tiny.
There was no space between us at all.
My back hit the wall, his body right in front of mine, his hand still lightly over my mouth before slowly moving away.
We both stayed quiet.
Listening.
Footsteps passed.
Voices faded.
But neither of us moved.
His face was close.
Too close.
My breath caught.
His eyes dropped to my lips for a second—
Then back to my eyes.
The tension from earlier came back instantly.
Stronger.
He leaned in slightly.
I didn't move.
Didn't stop him.
Didn't even think.
And then—
He kissed me.
Again.
The door burst open.
"FOUND—"
Silence.
Then—
"OH MY GOD THEY'RE KISSING AGAIN—"
I pulled back instantly, my face burning as Section E, Kegain, and Keiren all stood there, staring.
Then chaos.
"CAUGHT AGAIN!"
"THIS IS CRAZY—"
"BRO THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO HIDE—"
I covered my face again.
This was actually the worst.
Dinner was somehow worse.
Endless teasing.
Endless looks.
I barely survived it.
By the time everyone finally left, I was exhausted.
Completely.
I tried to stand—
Failed.
My legs gave up.
Keifer noticed immediately.
Without saying anything, he walked over and picked me up bridal style like it was nothing.
I didn't even protest.
Too tired.
I just rested against him, letting my eyes close as he carried me upstairs.
He placed me gently on the bed, pulling the blanket over me.
I barely had time to react before sleep pulled me under again.
The last thing I felt—
Was him beside me.
Close.
Warm.
And this time—
I didn't move away.
