Chapter 210 - Umbra’s True Plan - Awakening the Bloodline

Umbra in the Palace – Shadow Attack in the Throne Room

The Throne Room Darkens – Umbra Arrives

After the Emperor's words, the glowing orbs in the throne room began to tremble.

Shadows slid across the walls as if alive.

The air turned cold, and a deep, distorted rumble echoed beneath the floor.

Vanessa stepped forward, her eyes glowing behind the mask.

"Wolfwood… he really is here. In the palace. Right under the Emperor's nose."

Andras gripped his staff.

"Umbra always appears where he can cause the most chaos."

The Emperor slowly raised his hand.

"Umbra… show yourself. Before the Empire."

The shadow on the wall stretched.

Twisted.

And then a figure stepped out of it.

Umbra.

But he was different from the tunnels:

his cloak was tattered,

his mask cracked,

black sigils floated around his body,

and the red in his eyes was deeper than ever.

Umbra bowed slowly.

"Father. It has been a long time."

The Emperor's face remained unmoving.

"You are no longer my son. You are a traitor to the Empire."

Umbra laughed.

"The Empire… is already dead. You're just too blind to see it."

Vanessa stepped forward.

"Umbra! What do you want from us? Why do you follow us?"

Umbra tilted his head.

"Raven… you know the answer. Your bloodline… is my key. To the gates. To power. To destiny."

Andras stepped between them.

"You will not take her. Ever."

Umbra smiled.

"Young Wolf… you already failed once. And you will fail again."

The Attack – Umbra's Shadows Come Alive

Umbra raised his hand.

Black sigils appeared on the throne room floor.

From them, shadow demons erupted — far stronger than the ones in the city.

Andrea stepped forward.

"Eris! Right side!"

Eris Scarlett unleashed a burst of light, but the shadow demons didn't vanish — only staggered.

Anita's ice blade glowed.

"These… are stronger. Much stronger."

Ironclaw roared and leapt at one.

"Ironclaw fights!"

Fireburp already hurled a fireball.

"FIREBALL!"

Ersi screamed:

"NOT THE WALL!"

The fireball exploded, but the shadows only scattered — then reformed.

Vanessa stepped forward.

"Wolfwood! Umbra's sigils are empowering them! We have to break the sigils!"

Andras nodded.

"Then let's do it. Together."

The Emperor's True Power – The Black Sun Awakens

Umbra laughed.

"Father… look how weak they are. Your little heroes."

The Emperor slowly raised his hand.

On the ceiling, the symbol of the black sun ignited.

The air vibrated.

The floor trembled.

The Emperor's voice was deep, commanding.

"Shadow… return to your place."

Umbra stepped back.

"This… this cannot be…"

The Emperor's power was not fire, not light, not lightning.

The Emperor's power was: order.

Law.

The will of the Empire.

The black sun's light swallowed the shadow demons.

Andrea whispered in shock:

"This… this isn't human power."

Eris Scarlett nodded.

"This… is something ancient."

Umbra shouted:

"Enough! This Empire… is no longer yours!"

The sigils flared again.

The Emperor's strength faltered.

Vanessa cried out:

"Wolfwood! The Emperor can't hold him alone! We have to help!"

Andras nodded.

"Then… we finish this now."

Wolfwood and the Black Raven – The Joint Attack in the Throne Room

Andras raised his staff.

"LIGHTNING STORM!"

Vanessa raised her sword.

"FLAME BLADE — FULL POWER!"

The two energies merged.

Lightning and fire.

Light and shadow.

Wolfwood and the Black Raven.

Their combined attack struck Umbra's sigils.

The sigils cracked.

The demons screamed.

The throne room flooded with light.

Umbra staggered back.

"NO! THIS… THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!"

The sigils exploded.

The throne room was cleansed.

Umbra's shadow retreated into the wall.

But before disappearing, he whispered:

"Raven… your bloodline… is mine.

Young Wolf… your future… is mine.

Our next meeting… will be the end."

The darkness vanished.

Silence fell over the throne room.

The Emperor's Decision – The Mission Begins

The Emperor slowly sat back on his throne.

His eyes were tired, yet sharp.

"Young Wolf. Black Raven. The Empire… depends on you. Umbra… hides beneath the capital. In the catacombs. Where the bloodlines meet."

Vanessa paled.

"The Dolermo bloodline… was born there."

The Emperor nodded.

"And there your fate will be decided."

Andras stepped forward.

"Then we go down. And we end this."

Vanessa stood beside him.

"Together."

The Emperor nodded slowly.

"The Empire… entrusts its future to you."

The throne room doors opened.

The Wolfwood team's new mission had begun.

The Catacombs Beneath the Capital – Into the Depths of the Bloodlines

After the Throne Room – The Emperor's Decision Is Heavier Than Expected

The throne room slowly regained its light, but the air still vibrated with the remnants of Umbra's presence.

The Wolfwood team stood in silence — all of them felt that something had changed.

The Emperor sat on his throne, but his gaze was fixed on Andras and Vanessa — not as enemies, but as… keys.

"You must go to the catacombs. They lie beneath the heart of the Empire. There you will find the source of Umbra's true power. And… the origin of the Dolermo bloodline."

Vanessa tensed.

"The bloodline… was born there? In the catacombs?"

The Emperor nodded.

"The ancient seals of the Dolermo house are hidden there. And Umbra… is heading for them. To use them."

Andras stepped forward.

"Then we leave. Now."

The Emperor raised his hand slowly.

"No. The catacombs… are not a place you can enter blindly. The Empire's most dangerous seals lie there. And… something else. Something even I do not fully understand."

Vanessa whispered:

"The secret of the Dolermo house."

The Emperor nodded.

"Yes. And now… it rests on your shoulders."

In the Palace Corridors – The Team Prepares

The Wolfwood team was escorted to a side corridor where ancient palace maps hung on the walls.

The entrance to the catacombs was beneath the palace — a place only the Emperor could authorize.

Andrea studied the map.

"This… is a labyrinth. Hundreds of years old. Filled with seals, traps, demonic remnants."

Eris Scarlett whispered:

"Light barely reaches that deep. Darkness… rules there."

Anita checked her sword.

"Good. Ice likes dark places."

Fireburp shouted:

"And fire too! Can I blow things up?"

Ersi:

"NO! NOT in the catacombs!"

Ironclaw growled.

"Many smells. Many shadows. Much fighting. I like it."

Meanwhile, far away in Wolf Lodge, Noelle sneezed in her armchair, thinking anxiously of Andras and the team.

"Young Wolf… please… be safe. Once we hire staff for the lodge, I won't have to stay behind anymore. Next time I'm coming adventuring too! Being alone… is lonely. Very lonely."

Andras smiled faintly as he thought of Noelle.

"We'll be careful. With each other."

Vanessa added softly:

"And… this time we defeat Umbra. For good."

Noelle smiled as she read her romantic book.

The Entrance to the Catacombs – The Gate of the Bloodline

Beneath the palace stood a massive black‑marble gate.

On it, the symbol of the Dolermo house: the Black Raven.

Vanessa stopped before it.

Her hand trembled.

"This… is the ancient seal. My grandfather… performed his rituals here. The family… drew its power from this place. And… the darkness came from here too."

Andras stepped beside her.

"Vanessa… if you don't want to—"

Vanessa shook her head.

"No. I need to see this. I need to know who I am. And why Umbra wants me."

The gate slowly glowed.

The Raven symbol shone red.

The gate opened.

The darkness of the catacombs unfolded before them.

Deep in the Catacombs – Echoes of the Past

The catacombs were cold, ancient sigils glowing faintly on the walls.

Whispers drifted through the air — as if spirits of the past were speaking.

Andrea whispered:

"This… is not natural."

Eris Scarlett nodded.

"Light… is afraid."

Anita stepped forward.

"Ice is not afraid. Only cold."

Fireburp:

"I'm not afraid either! Just… a little."

Ersi:

"I'm very afraid."

Ironclaw sniffed.

"Umbra smell… close. Very close."

Vanessa stopped before an ancient seal.

On it, a name:

"Dolermo – The Blood Raven"

Vanessa paled.

"This… is my grandfather's seal. The blood seal. Our family… drew its power from here. And… the darkness came from here too."

Andras placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Your past doesn't define you. What you do now does."

Vanessa smiled.

"Then… I decide now."

Umbra's True Plan – Awakening the Bloodline

Deep in the catacombs, a vast chamber opened.

At its center stood a black crystal — cracked, pulsing, alive.

Umbra stood before it.

His cloak tattered, his mask cracked, but his eyes burned red.

"Raven… you finally arrived. Your bloodline… called. And you… answered."

Vanessa stepped forward.

"Umbra! What do you want from me?"

Umbra slowly raised his hand.

"Your bloodline… is the key. The crystal… the gate. And you… the sacrifice."

Andras stepped forward.

"You will not take her. Ever."

Umbra smiled.

"Young Wolf… you already failed once. And now… you will fail again."

The crystal flared.

The chamber trembled.

The bloodline seal activated.

Vanessa cried out:

"Wolfwood! The seal… wants me! My blood!"

Andras grabbed her hand.

"Then it won't get it. Because I'm here. And together… we break it."

Umbra laughed.

"The bloodline… does not break. It only… fulfills itself."

The crystal exploded.

The chamber flooded with light.

The final confrontation began.
