Chapter 3 - the name no one knew

The night outside the wedding venue was chaotic.

Reporters had gathered at the entrance. Cameras flashed. Rumors were already spreading across business news channels.

"Malhotra–Mehra wedding scandal."

"Public humiliation at billionaire wedding."

But Kiara Mehra walked past all of it without stopping.

Her driver quickly opened the car door.

"Home, ma'am?" he asked.

Kiara shook her head slightly.

"No."

The driver immediately understood and started the car.

Within minutes, the city lights began fading behind them as the car moved toward the financial district.

Inside the car, Kiara finally removed her heavy bridal veil.

Her expression changed instantly.

The soft bride was gone.

Only a calm, calculating woman remained.

She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

The call was answered within one ring.

"Miss Kapoor," a deep voice said respectfully, "the board has been waiting."

Kiara looked out of the window at the towering glass building ahead.

"Good," she replied calmly. "Because tonight… we take control."

Meanwhile.

Across the city.

Aarav Malhotra sat in his office, staring at the legal document his lawyer had just placed in front of him.

His fingers tightened around the paper.

The clause was real.

Perfectly written.

Legally binding.

His lawyer looked nervous.

"Sir… forty percent of Malhotra Industries shares will legally transfer if this case goes to court."

Aarav's eyes darkened.

"Find everything about Kiara Mehra."

The lawyer hesitated.

"Sir… we already did background checks before the marriage. She's just the daughter of Rajiv Mehra."

Aarav leaned back slowly.

"No."

His voice was cold.

"That woman tonight wasn't just someone's daughter."

He remembered her confidence.

Her calm.

Her certainty.

People like that didn't appear out of nowhere.

"Dig deeper," Aarav ordered.

"Every school. Every investment. Every connection."

The lawyer nodded quickly.

"Yes, sir."

At the same time…

Kiara's car stopped in front of a massive skyscraper.

A glowing logo lit the top floor.

KAPOOR GLOBAL HOLDINGS

One of the most powerful corporate empires in Asia.

The security guards immediately stepped aside as the car stopped.

Kiara stepped out.

Still wearing her bridal lehenga.

Executives waiting at the entrance straightened instantly.

One of them spoke respectfully.

"Welcome back, Miss Kapoor."

Kiara walked inside the building without slowing down.

The elevator doors opened.

Top floor.

Boardroom.

When she entered, every director inside the room stood up.

The chairman spoke first.

"We heard about the wedding incident."

Kiara calmly placed a file on the table.

"It went exactly as planned."

The room fell silent.

The chairman smiled slowly.

"Then it's time."

Kiara looked at the large screen displaying Malhotra Industries stock information.

Her eyes were cold.

"Tonight," she said quietly,

"we begin the takeover."

Across the city…

Aarav Malhotra had no idea yet.

That the woman he had tried to destroy—

Was actually the hidden heir of one of the most powerful business empires in the country.

And the war he started…

Had just awakened a far bigger enemy.
