The morning light forced Audrey to open her eye, but it felt so heavy as it swollen from her cries the previous night. She smells of rice pudding wafted the air and she knew her sister was at it again. "Jane must have found out about yesterday" she said to herself as she left her room to the kitchen. In the kitchen, Jane was preparing toast when she forcefully tried taking eye from the pan and ended up burning her hand. This reminded her of Damien. How caring and considerate he was. how he made sure she did not have a single scratch. Jane saw the look on her face and knew immediately that she had remembered Damien. "He is not worth your tears and peace Audrey". Jane said as she moved forward to hug her. Tears she had been holding back began to flow freely. Jane said nothing as she hugged her and allowed her cry.
After ten minutes of silent sobs, Jane then nudged her softly to come and have breakfast. she had by then stopped crying. As she saw how attentive her sister was, she thought, 'Thank you God for giving me such a sister'. Jane caught her staring and asked. "What is wrong?" " I just remembered how you tried talking me out of my relationship with Damien. how you refused to tal...". "This is not the time to remember unpleasant moments. focus on your food please". Jane interrupted her. Both of them then went back to their foods. Jane began to remember how her sister met Damien. She is Damien's secretary at CRUZ GROUP. It is one of the biggest companies in the counrty and working there was a privilege. She was the Chief Operation Officer's secretary and that person is Damien.
She went along with Damien to see how work was ongoing on one of their estate sites when she was hit by a stick on the construction site. Audrey who was filming immediately left her work and went to the hospital to see her sister. She met Damien there and he was so attentive and regretful. Jane remembered warning not to have any funny thoughts about Damien that he can't stick to one woman. Audrey insisted on Damien's advances especially when he started showing up at her workplace to pick her up. As both were lost in their thoughts, a knock came at the door. Jane stood up quickly to open it.
She opened the door and found a familiar yet not familiar man standing there. "I'm Nathaniel, I am here to see Audrey. where is she?" Nathan asked a confused Jane who kept on looking at him. and who are you please? " she asked. "I'm Nathaniel Cruz, CEO of CRUZ GROUP". it finally hit her that the man in front of her was her boss. she felt so embarrassed as she could not recognize her own boss. She immediately tried closing the door as she remembered what Damien Cruz did to her sister when she heard Audrey say. "Sis, please let him in. he saved me yesterday". Jane finally let her guard down as Nathan entered the room. Nathan insisted on taking both of them out which Jane agreed with. Audrey did not like the idea, but she was forced to go with them. They went to the mall and Jane was insisting she picked some clothes for herself. She left to the washroom when she met Serene in the hallway leading to the washroom. She shivered as she was not prepared to meet any of them face to face yet.
