Penny's POV
Somehow, I survived.
"Excuse me? Anyone in there?" A woman's voice drifted through the door, unmistakably professional. Flight attendant.
"Oh no," I breathed, just as Bernard's palm pressed against my lips to muffle any sound. His shoulders shook with barely contained laughter.
"Please return to your seats immediately and secure your safety belts," the attendant continued, her tone crisp with authority. "We're beginning our descent for landing."
"Absolutely, we'll be right there," Bernard responded with infuriating calm, already reaching for his shirt buttons like this was perfectly normal behavior.
"We?" I whispered frantically. Was he completely insane? Couldn't he at least try to make it seem like he was alone in here?
"You honestly think either one of us can slip out without her spotting the other?" He raised an eyebrow, completely unfazed by our predicament. "Just breathe."
