Maya's POV
Geoffrey moved around the cramped warehouse like a wild animal trapped in a cage. His footsteps echoed against the concrete floor as he walked the same path over and over again. Every couple of minutes, he would stop at the grimy window and push aside the torn fabric he had nailed up as a makeshift curtain. His eyes darted across the empty road outside, scanning for any sign of movement.
His whole body radiated nervous energy. The kind that told me he expected Sebastian to arrive at any moment, and he knew Sebastian would not be coming alone.
And Geoffrey was right about that.
