Year 2120
Alexander Star was a student at Sten-Arc School. His days were long and boring for him; every class was exhausting. He couldn't stand a second without thinking about something else. All his life had never promised anything great — the test to determine whether he had power within him yielded no response.
Only his adoptive father always encouraged him. He would say, "He has a great future, and I see in him something more powerful that wants to be unleashed." But nothing else told him that he was important — not for the world, not for his family and friends, not even for himself.
Nothing else suggested that he should exist. The Department of Magic of the I.I.H. was very skeptical about him — more than anyone else: a close friend of Leonidas named Destaen Hoods, also called Destyny.
Destyny was the first to tell Star Lion that the child was strange, that he should never adopt him, and that he could cause damage to the world around him.
As for Destyny, he could never sense Alexander.
Returning to Alexander, he decided to go for a coffee with his childhood friend, Alicia.
Alicia: "So, how was your day?"
Alexander: "Dog shit…"
Alicia: "Fine. Uhm… did you see the girl who came to the school?"
Alexander: "Hum, no — and why should I care?"
Alicia: "I mean, I saw how she looks and I think she's your type."
Alexander: "Since when do you know my type?"
Alicia: "I mean, you've always liked blondes as far as I know, and when we were kids I specifically remember that one girl you kept talking to me about."
Alexander: "Hum, whatever. I can't even stand in front of a classroom — do you really think I can talk to her like it's nothing, without being weird or making her run away?"
Alicia: "Aww, come on — you know you're not a monster. Get some courage and go talk to her. It's not like she's going to disappear forever, hmm."
Alexander: "Fine, I'll try. But if I get embarrassed in front of everybody, you'll know it was your idea."
Alicia: "Ok, it's a deal then. If I'm right, you get a new girlfriend. If I'm wrong, you get embarrassed in front of the whole class and I can bring up that story every day just to make you uncomfortable."
Alexander: "Really… Fine, I have to go catch the hyper. See you tomorrow at school. Bye."
Alicia: "And don't forget we're going to the museum tomorrow. It might be your chance to talk to her…"
Alexander glanced back at Alicia, annoyed, and headed to the hyper-loop train, straight to the United Kingdom, where he lived.
Siny's note:
Destyny is the greatest sorcerer of mankind. He is the current leader of the Department of Magic and a member of the 12 Knights.
When the narrator says that "Destyny could never feel Alexander," it's because Alexander cannot be detected by magic.
The Sten-Arc School is, in your world, a mix of a high school and a university.
Alexander Star was never really loved by anyone except his adoptive father, his friend Alicia, and a few other people. However, he was heavily bullied for being strange and for looking like he didn't belong in this world.
In Hell
The Devil was searching for a host so that his strongest demon could corrupt a mortal and put an end to mankind.
He was searching for something almost impossible, as the eyes of God see everything — I mean, almost everything. You see, the story of Alexander Star is not that of a hero but more of an anti-hero. He is not the honored one but the cursed one, as his life was not created by God.
God doesn't even know of Alexander's existence. He never saw him — or, even better, He can't see him. God has the power to create and see every one of His creations; He can spy on them whenever He pleases, but only on His creations.
So, from that, the Devil only had to create a demon by his own power, thereby making the most powerful demon in Hell. But he also had to find the perfect host, or his plan would fail once again.
The perfect host is Alexander, as he was not created by God nor meant to be created by God. He exists only by the fate of the universe; he is an anomaly.
The demon that the Devil created is Bratamus, but for the sake of the story we will call him Demon-B. Demon-B is a "pure" creation of the Devil.
His body and his teachings were crafted by the strongest and most intelligent demons in Hell. He had the best martial arts teacher in Hell, the best magic teacher — everything that could help him destroy an entire civilization.
In order to send a demon to possess a mortal body, the demon must first enter a spiritual form and pass through a pre-created portal. Then he can search for the one person he wants to possess. The procedure takes at least one full day.
That same day, when Alexander came home to watch his favorite show on television, he saw that he could not see the person sitting on the couch. The image he received was blurry, as if the person didn't exist.
That day was seen as his only chance to get revenge on everything. He commanded Bratamus to go immediately and possess that human.
The Devil searched for his history on Earth and learned that he was the perfect host for Demon-B. He has a traumatizing past that includes people with powers; he is not detectable by magic or other means and can perhaps be easily manipulated by magic.
The perfect Error.

Alexander, by the fact that he cannot be sensed by magic, is more vulnerable to it.
The Devil had been searching for a host for almost 3 billion years, ever since he lost The Thousand Battle. And by the way, time passes differently in other realms.
Alexander has been cursed from the day he was born. Everything he has ever done has never gone right, and whenever he tries something else, the result is always the same.
Today, Alexander Star goes to school and takes the bus that the school has provided. He takes a seat with his best friend, and she immediately talks about the girl she saw yesterday.
Alicia: "Look, look, that's her!"
Alexander: "Be quiet!"
Alicia: "Oh my God, she is gorgeous."
Alexander: "Yes, you are right."
Alicia: "I recognize that look—ah ah, just don't drool all over yourself."
Alexander: "Fine, but that doesn't change anything. She may already have someone, and if not, I'm not on her level."
Alicia: "Oh come on, I know that you are capable of something greater, and it's not a girl that will stop you."
Alexander: "Whatever. If I go talk to her, will you please shut up?"
Alicia: "Yes!"
Jake: "Look, if it isn't the depressing one. Did you never move on, man? I mean, I was the first to say that you were the weird guy, but making that your whole personality is maybe toxic—for you, you know…"
Jake kept being loquacious himself. Alexander had learned that to avoid any bullies, he shouldn't give them attention, and so he ignored him the whole time they traveled to the museum.
Alexander and Alicia exit the bus and go with their respective teachers and classmates. As they group up with each other, Alexander looks at the girl Alicia has been bothering him about all the time.
By just landing his eyes on her, he sees how really beautiful she is. She looks like a thousand suns to him, but he is always annoyed by his negative thoughts: "Why am I like this?" "She probably will just make fun of me," and more like this.
As the teacher assembles the class, the tour guide says to all the classes that after their tour, they can go freely to take pictures of pieces and question all the pieces that are in the museum. The whole museum contains many historical pieces, from the ascension of Star Lion to other things, such as paintings, for example.
After the tour guide finishes his presentation, he says to the teachers that they can let the students check the pieces in the museum, and if they have questions, he will answer them.
Alexander goes to a painting that the tour guide passed over.
Siny: "The painting is 'Katsushika Hokusai Kobo Daishi Tantra Demon Wolf.'"
The girl: "Hello, you are Alexander, right?"
Alexander: "Yes, and you are?"
Laura: "Laura. Nice to meet you. I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I was just annoyed by the tour guide. I mean, I hope that you didn't hear a lot from her—she was always hitting on your father (Star Lion)."
Alexander: "Yes, unfortunately, I stopped hearing her after she talked about my father in the Falling Stars."
Laura: "Anyways, you are looking at the painting?"
Alexander: "Yes."
Laura: "Why?"
Alexander: "Well, I don't really know, but I feel something that connects me to it."
Laura: "The Oni in Japanese culture are known to be humans of the worst kind that, after their death, were sent to hell to be transformed into oni by the ruler of hell."
Alexander: "Really?"
Laura: "Yes, but do you really think that humans can be such horrible people that they turn themselves into demons? I know that people are sometimes led by something that they don't know and just think that they are doing the right thing, but they are just misled. And I think even demons have hearts—do you?"
Alexander: "What? Uhm, do I think… like, you are right, yeah…"
Laura laughs and giggles and says: "No, a heart!"
Alexander: "Oh, yeah, maybe. Sometimes I ask myself."
Laura: "What? I didn't hear what you said."
Alexander: "Sorry, I said yes. Thanks for this chat."
Laura: "See you soon. Bye."
Alexander: "Bye."
As Alexander stares at her leaving the room, Alicia sees everything and bumps his back.
Alexander: "Ouch!"
Alicia: "So, I think that we have a lover here."
Alexander: "Calm down, we just talked to each other."
Alicia: "Hum, hum…"
Alexander: "Oh, come on, are you gonna be like this every time a girl talks to me?"
Alicia: "Yes, completely, sir."
Alexander: "Anyways, I have to talk to the teacher. I have to leave the class earlier today."
Alicia: "Ow, it's your dad, right?"
Alexander: "Yes, he wants to talk to me about my future, et cetera—you know."
Alicia: "Yeah, good luck with that."
Alexander: "Thanks. See you Monday, then."
Alexander leaves his friend, talks to the teacher, the teacher frees him, and he goes to take the hyper-loop train to England. Then he takes a taxi to his home, passes the gate to access the mansion of the Star family, enters the mansion, goes to the living room, and sees Star Lion sitting on an armchair.
Star Lion: "So, how was your day, son?"
Alexander: "Great."
Star Lion: "Great? That is something new—tell me."
Alexander sits on the couch.
Alexander: "Well, I saw all the memorials about the Falling Stars and had an annoying tour guide that probably has feelings for you."
Star Lion: "Oh, good God. But I know that's not the only thing."
Alexander: "Yes, you are right. I met a girl; she is new to the school, and we chatted a little bit."
Star Lion: "That is something. It's been…"
Alexander: "It's been a long time since I talked about a girl, I know. But Father, I feel something strange."
Star Lion: "Well, love feels pretty strange, I can tell you."
Alexander: "No, Father, it's something inside of me. I saw the painting, and it's like my body was trying to tell me something, but I don't know what."
Star Lion: "If you feel something wrong, my son, you know who to talk to."
Alexander: "Yes, Father. I'm gonna just take my stuff and lay on the bed."
Star Lion: "Ok. When you are feeling better, I want to talk to you, ok?"
Alexander: "Fine."
Alexander leaves the room and goes to his bedroom and takes a long nap. He wakes up feeling dazed, like a truck has hit him. He goes to the bathroom, washes his face, and sees in the sink that he is bleeding. He looks up to the mirror.
He is bleeding from his eyes; his irises are red, and then he falls unconscious.
Siny's note:
The Falling Stars was an initial group of Star Lion that had to be later a secret organization that had the order to conquer the world.
And for a fun fact, on the uniform of Star Lion, there is a star that comes with the original design of the Falling Stars.
The Hyper-loop was conceived with an underwater population that in the year 2098 was found and peacefully made their entrance into the world with the help of Star Lion.
Alexander wakes up in a dark place, with only one light above his head. He doesn't understand what is going on but remarks that he is being watched by something or someone.
Alexander: "Someone is here?"
???: "Yes, you have finally woken, son."
Alexander: "Who are you? What do you want from me?"
???: "Let's say that I am the one thing you need."
Alexander: "What are you talking about?"
???: "Well, you lost your parents to a hero, you think that you are strange, you feel that you don't fit in this world."
Alexander: "Answer my question!"
???: "Calm down. I am here for you, not in a bad way—I promise."
Alexander: "Fine, but can you show yourself, maybe?"
???: "Fine."
Then, in the darkness, an Oni surges forth, floating—or what it looks like.
Alexander: "A demon!"
???: "Calm, relax. I'm not going to kill you or anything."
Alexander: "Then why do you look like something that wants to take my soul!"
???: "I don't know. Maybe it's because, in your mind, do you like Japanese demons?"
Alexander: "No, but yesterday I was fixated in front of a painting. Maybe it's because of that."
???: "Maybe."
Alexander: "Ok, fine. Now can you answer my question?"
???: "Sure."
Alexander: "Who are you, and what are we doing in my mind!"
???: "Ok, so my name is Bratamus, but you can call me Demon-B."
Alexander: "So, you are a demon!"
Dem.B: "Let me explain so that all this will make sense, ok."
Alexander: "Ok."
From the mind of Alexander, Demon-B, with the help of demonic magic, specifies his anger toward the heroes.
Dem.B: "So, now you know everything."
Alexander: "Ok, if I get it right, you are a demon that has come in order to exterminate the evil in this world and help me take revenge on my parents' killers."
Dem.B: "Yeesssss."
Alexander, being in an emotional position where he can get his revenge from the ones who killed his parents, accepts the deal without understanding that he is being manipulated.
During the time Alexander was in his mind, Leonidas started to notice that his son had taken a really long nap—that the last time they spoke was 10 hours ago.
Leonidas goes to the hall of the mansion and starts to smell blood toward Alexander's bedroom. Leonidas knocks on the door and calls for him at the same time, but there is no response. He does it three times, then breaks the door and sees his son on the floor, unconscious and bleeding from his eyes.
Leonidas calls for all the members of the 12 Knights, and they all come quickly to look at him and understand what is going on.
They all arrive in shock at this news—all except one, Destyny, as he has always had a doubt about Alexander. He knew one day something would happen, and something has happened.
Star Lion: "Destyny, you seem to understand what is going on. That is my son and my only son that I have. He is precious to me. He has never had something similar to this. Please tell me."
Destyny: "Calm down, Leonidas. I know what he has."
Star Lion: "Oh, from the look in your eyes, it seems nothing good."
Destyny: "I never understood why you wanted that kid in the first place, and also that I never felt it, but it seems that he is under the control of a demon."
Star Lion: "What! A demon is controlling him?"
Destyny: "Maybe—we don't know yet. He is so special that we can't even know if a demon is possessing him or not."
Star Lion: "So tell me what is 'maybe' going on."
Destyny: "When a demon encounters a mortal, it can possess him. After possessing him, it will let his irises go to a color associated with how much the demon can take control. They can change to purple, yellow, or others that aren't biological. But in his case, I have never seen someone with this color."
Star Lion: "So we don't know if he is possessed or not?"
Destyny: "Yes…"
Star Lion: "And if he is not possessed?"
Destyny: "The demon will be stuck in his mind, altering every memory in order to accomplish its mission, and the corruption may—or sorry, will—take his body, letting the demon in control."
Star Lion: "Ok, is there a solution to it?"
Destyny: "Yes, but it will take time to understand what type of demon it is."
Star Lion: "Fine, I'll let some people around the mansion to keep an eye on him."
After the talk with Star Lion, Destyny is doubting about Alexander—the fact that he cannot track him and he presumes symptoms different from what he has ever seen before. He starts to feel a little bit afraid of the threat that Alexander can be.
Demon-B: "Hey, little man, wake up."
Alexander wakes in his bedroom on his bed.
Alexander: "What… what is going on?"
Demon-B: "Well, it seems that the hurt of having a demon in your head can cause you some headache."
Alexander: "Well, maybe, but now what do we have to do?"
Demon-B: "First thing to do is to escape from this place."
Alexander: "What, no!?"
Demon-B: "Listen, if you want to achieve everything you want, you have to leave your comfort zone, ok."
Alexander: "Fine, but like this—leaving everything behind?"
Demon-B: "Well, it's your choice."
Alexander: "Argh, f*** it. Ok, I'll do it."
Right after Alexander talks to Demon-B, he hears voices behind the door. He stands up from his bed, goes slowly to the door, and listens for the people behind it.
???: "For all the orders, they will be taken by your commander. I'm done here. And guard!"
A multitude of people all walk to different locations in the mansion.
Siny's note:
When a demon enters into a mortal's body, it has the same stock of magic that it had since it left Hell, but it cannot regenerate it.
Bratamus is one of the greatest creations of the Devil and the strongest.
Bratamus talks in Alexander's head, reverberating his voice so Alexander doesn't have to go through his mind again to listen to him.
Demon-B has the name Bratamus, but this name was a mistake and was not taken seriously by other demons for this ugly name.
Panic and anxiety start to come to Alexander.
Demon-B: "Oh, you look nervous."
Alexander: "No sh** Sherlock."
Demon-B: "From what I hear through your ear, it seems that guards are roaming the mansion."
Alexander: "Yes, those are the Legion, a special group force that was created by…"
Demon-B: "Do you know that I know what you know?"
Alexander: "Ok, then what is your plan?"
Demon-B: "Let me think a second."
Alexander hears something coming from the hall.
???: "Did you listen to what the boss has been saying to you all?"
Guards: "Yes, Commander!"
???: "Fine, the thing that may come out of this, if it comes out, will be something that may seem as friendly or not offensive, but do not enter into this game because it can harm you or worse. Did everyone hear what I said?"
Guards: "Understood, Commander!"
Alexander: "What is going on?"
Demon-B: "It seems that they know what I am."
Alexander: "Well, it does look bad. I hope that you have a plan."
Demon-B: "I have one, but for that, I want you to trust me, listen to everything I say to you, and do it."
Alexander: "Fine, what is it?"
Demon-B: "Your plan is to go to the underground base that your father has, take the special car that he has, and escape from this place. After that, we shall see, but for now, that is your objective."
Alexander: "Ok, cool plan, mastermind, but how am I supposed to pass these highly trained guards, being just a normal guy?"
Demon-B: "First, take some clothes. Do you want them to take you while being half-naked?"
Alexander: "Ok, fine."
Alexander dresses himself and hears the guards' footsteps.
Alexander: "What next?"
Demon-B: "Ok, do you remember when you were a kid and you wanted to scare the maids off?"
Alexander: "Yes, but how do you know!"
Demon-B: "Do I have to repeat myself?"
Alexander: "Ooh, right, I forgot."
Demon-B: "So, we are doing approximately the same thing but in a different way. You are going to break everything that makes as much noise as possible, and we—or sorry, you—are going to stay in the underground of your closet."
Alexander: "What! The last time I did that, I was six years old. I cannot fit in there."
Demon-B: "Well, based on your height, I'm pretty sure you can."
Alexander: "You are really a demon."
Alexander executes the plan, and everything seems to go as planned.
The guards start to invade the bedroom and talk with a communication device.
Guard: "Sector clear. I want to talk with the Commander."
Commander: "Yes, soldier."
Guard: "It seems that the target has escaped."
Commander: "How?"
Guard: "We don't know, but everything is broken here: the TV, the lamps, and the window. The only thing that is strange is from the window; it looks like he has escaped from there, but it is maybe too high for a fall."
Commander: "Do not underestimate him. He is capable of many things, even things that you don't even know are possible."
Guard: "Understood, Commander."
Alexander speaks in his mind while hiding.
Alexander: "I never thought that would go as planned, and now?"
Demon-B: "Now they are searching for you, which means they are not guarding a place, so it may make your escape easier."
Alexander: "Fine, but how can I pass through all of them?"
Demon-B: "Distraction is your key, and remember that you are the one in this mansion who knows every corner."
Alexander: "Ok, I don't know if I'm gonna do it, but ok. Focus, Alexander, focus, Alexander."
Sneaking out from the closet, and one by one, he succeeds in passing every guard he encounters—some using distraction, others by using his natural stealth skills. He succeeds in entering a secret door in the main living room of his father, but something unexpected happens.
Alexander, reaching the underground base, starts to hear voices from there, and it seems that one of them is dictating something.
???: "For all of you, this mission is crucial; our falling is not an option."
Guards: "Yes, Commander."
Alexander sneaks up his head to see who it is, and it reveals to be the so-called Commander. It is a man with a huge scar on his face and with armor that would make national armies jealous, covering his whole body from his chest to his feet.
The Commander seems to have heard something from the entrance of the base. Alexander starts to panic, but as a surprise, he receives an emergency call.
???: "Commander, it looks like the Empirium of Blood is attacking and is terrorizing London."
Commander: "What? They are not supposed to be isolated from the world."
???: "Unfortunately no, sir. They are killing themselves, kidnapping people, and are talking about a great prophecy that is coming soon."
Commander: "I don't understand. Are the 12 Knights on a mission?"
???: "Yes, Commander, and the council is saying that the chief of the Legion has to go there."
Commander: "Hmph, for God's sake. I'm going there."
The Commander switches the radio.
Commander: "For all the guards there, I have to leave for an emergency. I need three of you here!"
Guards: "Yes, Commander!"
Alexander sees the Commander leaving the place by using a car going through an invisible gate.
Alexander: "I never thought that exit was a great wall of stone."
Demon-B: "Well, it looks like your ticket to escape."
Alexander takes one of Leonidas's cars, goes through the gate, and enters into a long tunnel.
Alexander: "Ok, that was strange."
Demon-B: "That was easy; I don't like it."
Alexander: "Well, you may not like it, but for now, we can celebrate your plan for that."
Demon-B: "From the noise you have been making, they are for sure going after us."
Alexander: "Don't worry about it; they will take some time to discover us."
Alexander drives through the tunnel and ends up in a forest, going as fast as possible. In that same forest, a strange owl is spying at the end of the tunnel. What a strange owl.
Siny's note:
The Legion is a special force created from the coalition of the council and the help of Star Lion.
The so-called Commander, by his name John Wander, is one of the strongest members. He can handle one of the 12 Knights. All of his powers are coming from his armor, which was given after the tragedy that killed the parents of Alexander Star.
Alexander has had, since he was a child, the natural skill to be really stealthy.
Alexander manages to escape, leaving his home for an unknown mission. During the time Alexander is driving, Demon-B inspects something in Alexander's mind and discovers an unexpected surprise.
Demon-B: "Hey, what does a 100 mean?"
Alexander: "What, you can't find out?"
Demon-B: "Well, a lot of your memory is blurry, meaning that at times you were not paying attention or that it is just not important."
Alexander: "Fine, a 100 is someone who was gifted by the universe to unleash his 100% capacity, and it can be his powers, his intelligence—in short, it means everything he has can be pushed to his maximum power. There are only 4 on Earth, and I am one of them."
Demon-B: "And your adoptive father is also one."
Alexander: "Yes."
Demon-B: "Interesting."
At the same time, the Legion discovers that one of Star Lion's cars is missing, and it may be the only possible trace to Alexander.
After the long mission, the 12 Knights and the Commander arrive at the mansion and ask for a briefing of the situation.
Commander: "So, you are telling me that he has been able to escape right after me and he has one of Star Lion's cars?"
Guard: "Yes, Commander."
Commander: "Huh, I never thought someone with a demon inside him would be able to use such strategies."
Destyny: "Demons are very intelligent—way above humankind."
Star Lion: "But we can track my car. As far as I remember, this car is from the institution."
Commander: "Yes, we can, but we will take action only when the target rests. For now, we are going to make a plan for the upcoming situation. Thanks for the 12 being here, but we don't need your support."
All the members of the 12 Knights are dismissed from the briefing and go to the main living room to discuss what is happening. Star Lion sits on the couch and blankly stares at the fireplace. The other members of the 12 Knights look at Leonidas as they have never seen him like that before. For them, he looks like he is out of time, just standing without any thoughts or ideas. For them, he is silent; nothing is what they see in him.
Destyny looks at Leonidas for a minute, then creates a portal that goes through to his temple.
The rest of the members leave the place and salute Avalanche for staying.
When they all leave, the first words that Leonidas says are:
Leonidas: "Why….?"
Ava-lanche takes a step and sits on the couch.
Ava-lanche: "Can you… tell me… what you are thinking?"
Leonidas: "Ava, I can't describe it. I'm confused, in rage, sad, and lost—all of this at the same time."
Ava-lanche: "I can't say anything that can help you right now because it would be straight lies, but I can promise that I will do everything it takes to save him."
Leonidas: "Ava, I think that you don't understand. He is not like the child I helped grow. The moment he was in my arms, bleeding from his eyes, I felt something that I felt like the first day I met him, but different. I sensed his anger, his rage, and the sadness he has, but this time amplified. You see, Ava, I'm not only afraid of what he can become, but I am also afraid of who he can hurt."
Ava-lanche: "Do you think that his anger against me has been revived?"
Leonidas: "It's what I'm afraid of."
On this sentence, silence covers the room, leaving nothing but doubt.
Destyny, after passing through the portal, calls for his assistant.
Destyny: "Clair!"
Clair rushes to him.
Clair: "Yes, I am here."
Destyny: "Did you remember what I assigned you to do?"
Clair: "Yes, Great Sorcerer. It seems that Alexander Star has left the house this morning. I also tracked the last position with the owl."
Destyny: "Fine, set up the visio-safis so we can see what he is up to."
Alexander is heading to a petrol pump. He stands out of the car and goes to pay for the petrol for the car and takes some snacks.
Alexander: "Hi, so how much for all of this?"
Cashier: "You look bad, son. What happened to you?"
Alexander: "Nothing, I just caught something."
Cashier: "I hope for you that you are gonna be well soon. Anyways, it's gonna be 19…02…"
The cashier looks up to the television and sees the news talking about the son of Star Lion missing, telling the people to be aware that he can probably harm you and to call the authorities.
Alexander: "So, take this, keep the change, and goodbye!"
Leaving the place in a hurry, speeding up on the road, he asks Demon-B where to go now.
Alexander: "So… what next?"
Demon-B: "We are searching for artifacts located in the famous country Sanctry."
Alexander: "What!? You are joking, right? This is crazy."
Demon-B: "So, you are up for all of this but can't go to this country?"
Alexander: "No, you know it is inside if you have already read my mind."
Demon-B: "Yes, but what if I know a way to go to this country without being noticed?"
Alexander: "I guess you leave me no choice."
