Chapter 26 - Season 2 – Chapter 4: The Lake Guardian

The underground lake became restless.

Dark waves moved across the water as the two glowing eyes slowly rose from the depths.

Rahim, Karim, and Farid stood frozen.

Karim whispered nervously,

"What… is that thing?"

Farid looked serious.

"The guardian of the silver box."

The water suddenly exploded upward.

A massive creature rose from the lake.

It looked like a giant serpent covered in dark blue scales. Its eyes glowed brightly in the darkness.

Karim stepped back in fear.

"That thing is huge!"

The creature let out a deep roar that echoed through the cave.

Rahim held the crystal tightly.

The crystal started glowing again.

Farid quickly said,

"Do not attack it carelessly!"

Karim looked shocked.

"You think I want to fight that monster?"

The giant serpent moved around the black stone platform in the center of the lake.

It was protecting the silver box.

Rahim asked, "How do we cross the lake?"

Farid pointed toward several broken stone pillars rising from the water.

"We jump across those pillars."

Karim looked at the pillars.

"They are tiny!"

Farid replied calmly,

"It is the only way."

The serpent suddenly looked toward them.

Its glowing eyes became brighter.

Karim whispered,

"I think it heard us."

Suddenly, the creature rushed toward the edge of the lake.

BOOOOM!

Water crashed everywhere.

Rahim quickly pulled Karim away.

"Move!"

The serpent's tail smashed against the rocks.

Large cracks appeared in the ground.

Karim breathed heavily.

"That was too close!"

Farid shouted,

"We must reach the platform before it destroys the path!"

Rahim nodded.

"Let's go!"

Without wasting time, Rahim jumped onto the first stone pillar.

Karim followed carefully.

Farid came after them.

The pillars were wet and slippery.

Below them, the dark water moved dangerously.

The giant serpent circled around the lake.

Its eyes never left them.

Karim whispered,

"I really don't like this."

Rahim said,

"Stay focused."

They continued jumping from pillar to pillar.

Suddenly, the serpent attacked again.

It burst from the water beside them.

Karim almost lost balance.

"Rahim!"

Rahim grabbed Karim's arm just in time.

"Careful!"

The serpent roared loudly.

Its massive body crashed against the pillars.

One of the pillars broke instantly.

Farid shouted,

"Hurry!"

They moved faster.

The black platform was now close.

The silver box glowed softly in the center.

Rahim could feel energy coming from it.

The crystal reacted strongly.

Karim noticed it.

"The crystal is connected to the box!"

Farid nodded.

"Yes. They are part of the same ancient power."

Suddenly, the serpent blocked their path.

Its giant head rose directly in front of the platform.

Karim stopped immediately.

"We can't get past it!"

The creature stared at Rahim.

The crystal glowed brighter and brighter.

Then something strange happened.

The serpent slowly became calm.

Its glowing eyes softened.

Farid looked shocked.

"The guardian recognizes the crystal…"

Rahim slowly stepped forward.

The serpent did not attack.

Karim whispered,

"I don't understand."

Farid said quietly,

"The crystal carries the mark of the guardians."

Rahim raised the crystal carefully.

Blue light spread across the lake.

The serpent lowered its head slowly.

It was allowing them to pass.

Karim smiled in surprise.

"I think it trusts us now."

Rahim nodded.

"Yes."

They carefully stepped onto the black platform.

The silver box stood silently in front of them.

Ancient symbols glowed on its surface.

Farid looked serious again.

"Be careful. The box may contain something powerful."

Rahim slowly touched the box.

The crystal suddenly released a bright flash of light.

The symbols on the box started moving.

Karim stepped back.

"It's opening!"

Slowly, the silver box unlocked itself.

Inside—

There was a glowing silver key.

The key floated slightly above the box.

Soft white energy surrounded it.

Rahim carefully picked it up.

The moment he touched it, a vision appeared in his mind.

He saw three ancient doors.

One blue.

One golden.

And one black.

Then a voice echoed inside his head.

"When the three keys unite, the Final Gate will open."

The vision disappeared.

Rahim breathed heavily.

Karim quickly asked,

"What happened?"

Rahim looked at the silver key.

"There are more keys."

Farid's face became pale.

"That means the legend is true…"

Karim asked,

"What legend?"

Farid looked toward the darkness deep inside the ruins.

"The Final Gate really exists."

Suddenly—

The underground lake began shaking violently.

The serpent roared loudly again.

The peaceful blue light disappeared.

Karim looked worried.

"Something is wrong!"

The cave ceiling started cracking.

Small rocks began falling everywhere.

Farid shouted,

"We need to leave now!"

Rahim quickly took the silver key.

The crystal and the key glowed together.

A new hidden passage opened behind the platform.

Karim pointed toward it.

"There!"

Without wasting another second, the three of them ran toward the hidden passage.

Behind them, the underground lake continued shaking violently.

And deep below the dark water—

Something even bigger was beginning to awaken.
