To her surprise, Westley was now wearing a relaxed grey tank top and black lounge shorts. He was sitting calmly at the edge of the mattress, a sleek laptop resting on his thighs as he focused his gaze intently on the glowing screen.
It thoroughly shocked Evie to see him looking so entirely unfazed, as if nothing out of the ordinary had just occurred. She knew her frantic flight into the corridor earlier had been totally awkward and ridiculous, but she still felt she shouldn't have breached the space without knocking, even if she was technically sharing the master quarters with him now.
