Gabriel instantly realized what he had just called Evie, opening his mouth wide in shock before quickly snapping it shut.
Coughing to clear his throat, Gabriel scrambled to cover his tracks. "It was a mistake, but hey, it doesn't really matter. Since you somehow look exactly like me, it's not a crime for me to call you that or see you as a sister, right?"
Director Larry's face was a portrait of pure curiosity. Sensing a strange, inexplicable energy between the two of them, he couldn't help but probe further. "Are you sure the two of you aren't secretly related to each other?"
This was the second time he had asked that exact question today. He was ultimately ready to believe Gabriel and Evie were long-lost relatives because their uncanny resemblance and the overall vibe around them were something he just couldn't ignore.
