Chapter 7 - CURSED TO LOVE A WITCH

CHAPTER SEVEN

PRINCE DANIEL'S POV

"How dare you, wicked creature called human, attack me after you tried to steal from my territory!"

I watched as Tanya the witch stretched her long black nails. The angrier she became, the longer her nails grew. She sank her nails into Jerry's neck and began sucking his blood like a vampire.

She was no longer the beautiful witch I had seen at first.

Seeing my trusted guard almost losing his life in the hands of that bloody witch was more than I could bear.

She instantly became my greatest enemy. How could she find pleasure in sucking human blood like a mosquito? I grabbed my weapons tightly, ready to rescue Jerry. I was not just a prince, but also the chief warrior of my kingdom, feared by many.

I vowed to myself that I would kill all the witches to stop their barbaric acts.

Without thinking further, I rushed forward.

I jumped and grabbed one of the witches whom they called Tammary of the Snake Pack. I did not give her time to use her evil charms. I stabbed her in the chest with my sword.

She screamed in pain, and her cry echoed through the jungle, drawing everyone's attention.

Tanya immediately pushed Jerry away and attacked me with her dagger. I tried to fight back even though I was already wounded, but I was no match for her strength and speed.

Her movements were fast, almost like a shadow dancing in the darkness.

Jerry tried to stand up so he could help me, but he was powerless. Tanya had drawn too much blood from him.

My hatred for that evil witch burned through every vein in my body.

I silently prayed to my ancestors to give me strength to continue fighting. But instead of strength, I felt my body growing weaker and weaker.

Soon I fell down on my knees.

Still, I refused to let go of my sword.

Tanya slowly lifted her left hand, holding her dagger. I looked into her eyes. They burned with anger, and I could almost see flames dancing within them.

They were no longer the beautiful eyes I had seen earlier.

Yet strangely, I could not look away.

As she stepped closer, she roared like an angry lion and demanded to know why I had attacked one of her friends. Her voice was full of rage and hatred.

She said she was going to use my blood to wash her body.

"And your bones," she added coldly, "will become my flute."

Then she began chanting strange words, as if she were summoning dark and evil forces from the shadows of the jungle.

As she chanted, I noticed her appearance changing.

Her eyes turned completely black, as dark as her long nails. Her teeth grew longer, sharp like those of a wild beast.

Fear gripped my heart.

Yet for some reason, I still could not look away from her face.

Just as she was about to strike and end my life, another voice suddenly echoed through the jungle.

"Stop."

The voice was calm but powerful.

"Do not kill him. That human may still be useful to us."

I lifted my eyes and saw a woman walking toward us from the darkness.

All the witches and wizards immediately bowed their heads before her, calling her their queen.

All of them bowed…

Except Tanya.

She refused to release me.

"Mother," Tanya said angrily, tightening her grip, "I will not set this beast of a human free. No matter what happens, I will make him my meal today."

The jungle fell silent as everyone waited for the queen's response.
