Keifer's POV
The night slowly faded.
I never slept.
I just watched her.
Jay-Jay lying peacefully on the bed.
Her silky short hair spread across the pillow.
Her navy blue night suit soft against her glowing skin.
She looked so calm.
So beautiful.
Too beautiful for words.
My chest tightened.
I brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
Carefully.
She didn't wake.
Still sleeping.
Still peaceful.
I whispered quietly.
"My Jay…"
"I never meant to hurt you."
"If you only knew why I did all of this…"
My voice faded.
She didn't hear me.
She was still dreaming.
I leaned closer.
Slowly.
Very gently.
And pressed a soft kiss to her lips.
A quiet kiss.
A secret she would never know.
I stayed there for a moment.
Just looking at her.
Memorizing everything.
Her face.
Her breathing.
Her warmth.
Then the first light of morning slipped through the window.
Sunrise.
Time to go.
I stood up silently.
One last look at her sleeping figure.
So peaceful.
So beautiful.
I whispered softly,
"Goodbye… Jay."
Then I turned.
Walked to the door.
And left.
