Far from the high elf borders, beyond the forests and flowing silver rivers, deep within the dark elf territory, in the halls of her palace, Lilith stopped mid-step without warning.
The warriors behind her also came to a stop, confusion instantly appearing in their eyes.
"Your majesty?"
She didn't respond. She turned her head slightly to the right as though trying to listen to something.
Her gaze had gone distant almost unfocused something that never happened to her.
Inside her body, she could feel the thin invisible thread that connected him to her that allowed her to know every that was happening to him snapped.
Her breath slightly caught her eyes widening in surprise.
"..No.." the words flowed out of her before she could stop it.
'What in the world'
The thread she had placed on him had broken, separating her from him. It felt as though something had reached out to the thread and forcefully cut it somehow because she couldn't place him at all.
