The wedding was slowly approaching and the festivities had sunk into the capital. Elves walked with a slight bounce as both species mingled with each other.
Unlike the first day of their arrival, when high elves and dark elves avoided each other and rarely walked on the same road. Right now, they were walking, and the brave ones would talk to each other.
A small improvement, nonetheless.
In the middle of the blooming flowers and overarching bridges that made up the capital stood the market. The only market in the large capital, a place where the best and the worst of the Athius kingdom would be found.
"This feels different, new," Lily, who was walking beside Atheline said as her gaze swept through the market.
Atheline chuckled softly.
"I prefer your mountain to this," he said.
She shook her head and linked their hands together. They walked forward in silence while receiving all kinds of stares, curiosity, knowing, and downright hostility, but both of them couldn't care less.
