Camille should have known peace wouldn't stay peaceful around this family.
It started with Victor screaming again.
"WHY IS THERE A HORSE OUTSIDE?"
Camille nearly dropped her coffee.
"What?"
She walked into the penthouse living room wearing black shorts and one of Dante's hoodies only to find Victor standing near the massive windows looking personally betrayed by life.
"There is a HORSE downstairs."
Elena didn't even look up from her tablet.
"It's yours."
Victor slowly turned toward her.
"Excuse me?"
"You mentioned wanting to learn horse riding."
"That was sarcasm."
"I don't speak sarcasm."
Camille burst into laughter so hard she had to grab the couch for support.
Adrian looked up from his laptop calmly.
"To be fair, Elena buying a horse is very on brand."
Victor looked emotionally overwhelmed.
"She bought me a living animal as a casual gesture."
Elena finally glanced toward him.
"You don't like it?"
Victor immediately softened.
"That's not the point."
