Chapter 61 - Dual Combat Mode

The rooftop battlefield paused for a brief moment.

Not because the fighting had stopped—

But because something changed.

The floating panel before Arivaan's eyes flashed brilliantly.

New Function Activated

Dual Combat Mode

A stream of information flooded into his mind.

New commands.

New movement patterns.

New synchronization protocols.

Arivaan blinked once.

Then slowly smiled.

"Oh."

"That's interesting."

Beside him, Devika's flames flickered uneasily.

"What did you just do?"

Across the rooftop, Rudra Sen narrowed his eyes.

The hunter could feel it too.

The shift in pressure.

The subtle change in Arivaan's control.

Varun's spear lifted again.

Devika's flames curled upward.

Both servants waited.

But this time—

Something about their movements felt different.

The floating panel flickered again.

Dual Combat Mode: Active

Servant Synchronization: 72% → Optimizing

Arivaan stretched his fingers slowly.

Then spoke.

"Devika."

"Yes."

"Varun."

"Yes, master."

Arivaan smiled.

"Let's try something new."

Both servants moved at the same time.

But instead of attacking separately—

Their movements synchronized.

Perfectly.

Devika launched a massive wave of flame across the rooftop.

At the exact same moment—

Varun dashed through the fire.

His spear cut forward like a lightning strike hidden within the flames.

Rudra Sen's eyes widened slightly.

He raised his sword just in time.

CLANG!

The spear collided with his blade.

But Devika's flames exploded around him immediately after.

The hunter was forced backward.

The floating panel flickered again.

Synchronization: 78%

Arivaan nodded.

"Better."

Devika whispered through the link,

"You're combining our movements."

"Exactly."

Rudra Sen steadied himself again.

His silver aura still burned brightly.

But his voice had grown colder.

"You evolved your control."

Arivaan shrugged.

"Looks like it."

The hunter moved again.

His sword flashed toward Devika.

But Varun intercepted.

The spear deflected the blade.

At the same moment—

Devika's flames surged upward.

The attack forced Rudra Sen to leap backward again.

The surrounding Rakshaks stared in shock.

Because Devika and Varun now moved like two halves of the same weapon.

The floating panel flickered again.

Synchronization: 81%

Arivaan grinned.

"This is much easier."

Devika muttered,

"You're treating us like extensions of your arms."

Arivaan shrugged.

"That's accurate."

Rudra Sen dashed forward again.

This time faster.

His sword flashed toward Varun's chest.

But Devika intercepted instantly.

Flames spiraled outward to block the strike.

Varun spun behind the hunter.

His spear thrust forward.

Rudra Sen twisted sideways and barely avoided the attack.

But the pressure forced him several steps back.

Arivaan chuckled.

"See?"

Rudra Sen's eyes narrowed.

"You're reducing your mental load."

"Exactly."

The floating panel flickered again.

Synchronization: 85%

Devika attacked again.

A spiral of flame erupted across the rooftop.

Varun moved through the fire like a phantom.

His spear flashed three times in rapid succession.

Rudra Sen blocked two strikes.

But the third forced him to retreat.

The rooftop cracked beneath his boots.

The surrounding Rakshaks stepped back in disbelief.

One of them whispered,

"He's controlling both of them perfectly…"

Devika felt the difference too.

Her movements had become smoother.

Faster.

Because Arivaan no longer had to micromanage every motion.

The system itself assisted the coordination.

Arivaan stretched his neck casually.

"Now this feels fair."

Rudra Sen lifted his sword again.

But this time—

His expression had grown more serious.

"You've stabilized the dual control."

Arivaan nodded.

"Yes."

"But that doesn't change the outcome."

Rudra Sen's voice lowered.

"You're wrong."

The silver aura around the hunter surged again.

The rooftop trembled beneath the pressure.

Devika whispered,

"That energy again…"

Arivaan raised an eyebrow.

"Another technique?"

Rudra Sen lifted his sword toward the sky.

Silver light erupted along the blade.

"This fight has gone far enough."

Arivaan chuckled.

"You say that a lot."

The hunter's eyes burned with determination.

"Then I'll end it."

The silver aura exploded outward across the rooftop.

The surrounding Rakshaks immediately jumped backward.

Because the power gathering around Rudra Sen had grown far stronger than before.

Even Devika's flames flickered under the pressure.

Varun tightened his grip on the spear.

The floating panel flickered again.

Threat Level Increasing

Arivaan smiled slowly.

"Well."

"That looks dangerous."

Devika whispered,

"It is."

Arivaan stretched his fingers again.

"Good."

Because the battle had reached another turning point.

And Rudra Sen was finally preparing something capable of ending it.
