Chapter 123: The Unblinking Eye

If the Uchiha compound was a storm of quiet activity, the Hyuga estate was a tomb of rigid tradition. Here, the walls didn't just have ears; they had the Byakugan. Every movement was monitored, every sigh was recorded, and every pulse of chakra was scrutinized by the Main House elders.

Inside the private study of the Head of the Clan, Hiashi and Hizashi stood before their father. The air was cold, smelling of old paper and incense.

"The Uchiha are moving," Hiashi whispered, his voice barely a breath. "Fugaku has already cleared the first wave of their non-combatants. The Root is distracted by the Senju's 'mourning,' but that window is closing. Father, if we do not act now, the Branch House will be drafted into Danzo's front lines as expendable sensors."

The Elder Hyuga looked at his twin sons. One was born minutes earlier and inherited the world; the other was marked with the seal of a servant. But now even the caged bird is free thanks to Uzumaki.

"All Caged Bird aren't free yet. That is why they won't flee," Hizashi stepped forward, his forehead protector tied tightly over the seal that defined his life. "They will 'perish.' Rimon has provided the blueprints for a Chakra-Dampening Array. If we stage a mission in the border forests—a skirmish with 'Cloud' shinobi that never existed—we can trigger a structural collapse of their chakra signatures. To the Leaf's sensors, it will look like the seal triggered and destroyed the brain. In reality? They will be under the protection of the Whirlpool's cloak."

Hiashi looked at his twin. The weight of the secret they shared was immense. For the first time in generations, the Main House was plotting to save the Branch, rather than use them as shields.

"I will lead them," Hizashi said firmly. "Ten of our most talented Branch members—medics, trackers, and historians. We are not just sending warriors, Father. We are sending the knowledge of the Gentle Fist so it can be preserved in Uzushio, away from Danzo's scalpels."

"And the risk?" the Elder asked.

"The risk is staying here," Hiashi countered. "I saw Danzo looking at our children during the last Academy evaluation. He doesn't want our loyalty; he wants our eyes in his laboratory. If Hizashi leads this group to the border, we create a 'Ghost Unit' that the Leaf can never account for."

The Elder Hyuga closed his eyes for a long moment. He thought of the First Hokage's dream, and how it had turned into a machine that consumed its own children. Slowly, he reached into his robes and pulled out a heavy iron key—the key to the Clan's private armory and the hidden scrolls.

"Go to the lower levels," the Elder commanded. "Take the Whirlpool Jade Rimon sent. If his 'Science' can truly mask the activation of the Caged Bird Seal, then the Hyuga owe him a debt that can only be paid in blood. Hizashi... if you guys are caught, the Seal will be triggered by the Council. And everyone will die. You are free from Caged bird because on last meeting Rimon Uzumaki change your seal successfully but other members of branch family aren't free yet. Their seal didn't changed yet. You know this."

Hizashi smiled, a sad but resolute expression. "They would rather die trying to reach the sea than live in a cage, Brother."

In the dead of night, the Hyuga Branch members gathered in the subterranean tunnels used for clan-only transit. These were first 21 Hyuga Clan member who will go to Uzushio. These men and women who had spent their lives looking through the eyes of others, always watching for threats, never allowed to look at their own futures.

Hizashi stood before them, his Byakugan active, scanning for any Root bugs or Main House loyalists who weren't part of the coup.

"Tonight, we are dead," Hizashi told them. "To Konoha, you are casualties of war. To the world, you are vanished. But to Rimon Uzumaki, you are the pioneers of a new Hyuga. No more seals. No more servitude. We move to the Eastern Border. Do not look back at the gates. Konoha is no longer our home; it is our cage."

One of the Branch members, a young girl named Hanare, gripped her medical kit. "Is it true, Hizashi-sama? Does the Uzumaki truly have a way to... to quiet the mark?"

"You can see my forehead, my Caged Bird seal. It's already changed thanks to Rimon Uzumaki, Uzushio's new patriarch. And actually he has more than that." Hizashi promised, thinking of the Verdant Crown and the Coup de Burst technology he'd heard rumors of. "He has a world where your eyes belong to you."

They moved out like shadows, utilizing the Gentle Step to mask their footprints. They didn't take the main roads; they moved through the damp, dark drainage systems and the dense underbrush of the clan's private forest.

High above, a single crow—an Uchiha messenger—circled the Hyuga compound. It let out a single, sharp caw.

The coordination was perfect. While the Uchiha civilians moved via the southern route to distract the border patrols, the Hyuga Branch unit slipped through the northern gaps.

The Two Eyes were closing. Konoha was becoming blind, and it didn't even know it yet.
