Chapter 98 - Chapter 7: The Supreme Demon Lord's Betrayal -3

"Dusk?" Shina cried out, her voice breaking as she rushed through the grand gates.

She threw her arms around him, holding him as if she would never let go. Tears streamed freely down her face. "Is it really you? I could never mistake your soul."

Dusk froze, then gently pushed her back. He looked down, frowning softly. "Shina... please, stay away from me. I already told you before—demons and divines can never be together."

Shina wiped her tears and smiled gently. "We are just souls now, Dusk. So... can we become soulmates?"

Dusk let out a bitter laugh. "That is a unique proposal, Shina. But I can't accept it. I am not worthy of you. I'm just a loser who got betrayed."

Shina stepped closer. She placed her soft hands on his face, gently wiping away his tears. "Dusk, I have always loved you. Even if you were sent to hell, I would follow you there."

The God of Death watched them quietly, a faint smile on his dark face. "Well... it seems both of you deserve Heaven instead."

Dusk looked at the God of Death in shock. "Me? Why?"

"Because you followed your demonic path without fake pretense, and in your final moments, you realized true love," the God of Creation added softly. "In the end, you both go to Heaven."

Meanwhile, back on Earth, peace had temporarily returned to the hospital.

The lead surgeon had given everyone good news: Kael was out of danger, though he needed complete rest for his body to recover properly. Everyone felt relieved, but a lingering weight still rested in their hearts.

Inside the quiet hospital room, Kael lay fast asleep on the bed. He stirred uncomfortably, murmuring softly in his sleep.

"Sara... I'm sorry... I couldn't save you..."

Sara sat beside his bed, her heart aching as she listened. She gently patted his forehead and began to sing a soft, soothing song.

A nurse opened the door to check on Kael's drip. Seeing Sara tenderly caring for him, the nurse smiled warmly and slipped back out.

Suddenly, Kael turned onto his side. Instinctively, his arm reached out and wrapped firmly around Sara's waist, pulling her close to his chest.

Sara's eyes widened. Her face flushed bright red in an instant.

Holding her breath, she carefully untangled Kael's arm from her waist. She scrambled up from the chair and sat down on the sofa across the room, her face burning hot.

Kael shifted on the mattress, a peaceful smile appearing on his sleeping face. "Sometimes... I think I love Sara..." he whispered softly in his sleep.

Sara gasped, her ears turning completely crimson.

She quickly stood up, rushed into the washroom, and splashed cold water over her face. After calming her rapid heartbeat, she walked back out and sat down on the sofa again.

Looking at Kael's resting face, she softly murmured to herself, "Maybe... I am in love with Kael, too."

Far away from the hospital, dark mana rippled across the night sky as Mantra materialized on Earth.

She stood on the roof of a towering skyscraper, looking down at the sprawling city below.

"So, Kael..." Mantra sneered, her eyes glowing with dark malice. "In the end, you made me destroy my own toy with my own hands."

She took a deep breath, her gaze lingering on the vibrant city lights. "There will be no mercy left for you."

Mantra tilted her head, slightly amazed by the view. "What a beautiful place... I have never seen a realm that stays so bright even in the middle of the night."

With a swift flicker of movement, she teleported directly onto the roof of the hospital where Kael was resting.

She leaned against the ledge, watching the ambulances pull up to the emergency entrance down below. Doctors and nurses rushed out together, working in unison to save injured patients.

Mantra rested her chin in her hand, watching with mild curiosity. "Interesting... Humans actually possess unity."

She dangled her legs over the edge of the building and sat down smoothly.

"I think I will explore this world first," Mantra whispered to herself with a dark smirk. "Then, I will kill that white-haired, golden-eyed boy. I had to kill Dusk today... but my revenge against Kael will come soon enough."

High above the mortal world, in the tranquil realm of Heaven, Dusk watched Mantra from afar.

"Mantra, you forgot something," Dusk murmured with a bitter smile. "I have eagle vision. I can watch anyone from anywhere."

Shina sat beside him, looking at him gently. "Then... why didn't you ever use that power on her when you were alive?"

Dusk's smile turned pained and hollow. "Because... I trusted her completely. I never felt the need to spy on someone I loved."

Shina wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a warm hug. "Then trust me like that from now on."

Dusk closed his eyes, leaning into her warmth. "I will believe in you, Shina."

Shina looked up at him with sparkling eyes. "In our next life, we will live together... no matter what species or realm we are born into."

Dusk gently patted her head. "Yeah. All right."

Before their quiet moment could continue, the God of Death walked over, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "The higher Gods have made a decision. You both will be granted a new life."

Dusk immediately stood up. "Then please... allow us to be born together!"

The God of Death chuckled softly. "Your souls are already bound as soulmates. You don't need to worry about that."

Dusk and Shina looked at each other, bright smiles breaking across their faces.

They followed the God of Death through a blinding doorway into a vast, pure white sanctuary. A radiant God of Reincarnation stepped forward, offering them a gentle smile. "Are you both ready to be reborn?"

They both nodded firmly without hesitation.

"You will lose all memories of your past lives," the God warned. "But your souls will find each other again, and you will become lovers once more. Are you ready?"

Dusk glanced at Shina, holding her hand tightly. "We are ready."

The God took a step forward. "Then go. Live your new lives as humans in India."

Dusk blinked in surprise, stepping back slightly. "Wait... India? Isn't that the same country where Kael Redgrave lives?"

The God shrugged his shoulders casually. "It is the only option available right now."

Dusk looked at Shina, and both of them let out a small, helpless laugh before agreeing.

The God raised his hands, bestowing a bright, divine blessing upon their souls. A blinding light wrapped around them, and in the next second, their spirits vanished from the sanctuary.

Down on Earth, at that exact moment...

In Delhi, India, a healthy baby boy took his first breath in a bustling hospital room.

And thousands of miles away in Chennai, India, a baby girl cried out for the first time under the warm night sky.
