It had been four years since John had been reincarnated into this new world with the powers of the Divine General. He had learned that the God—or rather, the divine being who had sent him here—had taken some creative liberties when it came to his birth and powers.
'I should be grateful that he didn't birth me as a woman… that would've been quite the inconvenience.
…Well, I could probably adapt to being a futa,' he thought.
John—now Tenrin Itsuki—paddled himself along the car seat as his parents drove him towards kindergarten. He had shown clear disdain at the idea of having to play around with a bunch of kids, but ultimately he had been reluctantly forced to go.
His father was a relatively tall man with black hair and brown eyes. He was the kind of man who always wore a suit, no matter the occasion, with round glasses resting neatly on his face. John had even suspected that the man wore the suit to bed.
"Itsuki, have you managed to make any friends yet?" his father asked while steering the car.
"Uhhhhhh….."
He had been reborn into a normal family—and he was very glad for it. He could only hope they weren't secretly CIA agents or anything of the sort. Becoming a slave to that abhorrent group was something he certainly did not wish to experience again.
Still, he valued his new family very much in this life. While they weren't rich or anything, they certainly weren't poor either.
His father—again, always with a suit—possessed a quirk that most people would consider impressive, yet to him it was nothing but a nuisance: enhanced five senses.
While being able to see farther and in far greater detail was nice, the constant 4K vision became a bit of a headache. Because of this, he always had to tone down the quality of the videos he watched. When out in public, he wore glasses to dull his sight slightly. Spicy foods and bitter foods also had a far stronger 'kick' to him than to normal people, and he was often seen wearing earbuds and gloves just to reduce the sensory overload.
His mother possessed a mutation-type quirk, though it was also rather useless. She had bright white wings on her back and kept her hair dyed a yellowish gold. Her friends often joked that she looked a bit like an angel.
Now, as for why it was useless—she couldn't even fly.
Yes… the wings were simply there for decoration, like a cosplay you could never take off. Not only were they sensitive when trying to sleep, but they also became extremely annoying whenever she tried to put on clothes.
Even so, their strange situation had turned out to be a great convenience for him.
Because when Tenrin Itsuki was born—
he was blind and deaf.
****
Now, as to why, you might ask again? Well, it's better to explain the entire story and tempo.
Tenrin Itsuki was born in a normal hospital. His birth, however, had been anything but normal, it had been rather weird for both the nurses and his parents.
Like any pregnancy, it usually starts in the bedroom, with mom and dad doing their own 'thing'. Then come the nine months of pregnancy, where the mother complains like she's constantly on a period, develops strange cravings for different types of food, and struggles with basic activities—requiring the help of the father ninety-nine percent of the time.
It's also the time when parents begin buying outfits for the newborn baby, reading books on how to become great parents, and preparing for the little life that is about to enter the world.
Those nine months are usually seen as the hardest yet most sacrificial time before the baby is born.
After those nine months comes the moment when the baby is finally ready for freedom—ready to release its wings into the world.
It's also the moment when the father is inevitably pushed out of the medical room while the mother gathers all her strength to bring her child into existence.
After about an hour and a half of exhausting effort, the baby is born. Congratulations are given, relief fills the room, and the father is finally allowed back inside—ready to say how proud he is and see his child for the very first time.
"Congratulations, Ms. Tenrin. It's a boy," the nurse said, holding out little Itsuki, who was wrapped head-to-toe in blankets wailing his eyes out.
Ms. Tenrin wore a tired but happy expression as she looked at the child in the nurse's arms.
"Do you think you'll be able to hold him?" the nurse asked gently, positioning Itsuki closer to the mother.
She held the baby carefully in her arms, a soft smile spreading across her face.
And in that moment—
she named him Itsuki.
Now, the real problem arose two or three days after the entire debacle of his birth.
His mother was still in the hospital, exhausted from childbirth, while nurses continued to monitor the newborn. During this time, however, they had discovered something… strange.
"The infant showed no response to auditory stimuli, nor did he display any visual tracking reflexes. Preliminary examinations suggested bilateral congenital deafness and severe visual impairment, possibly even complete blindness." a nurse said to one of her colleagues in a shocked tone.
(A/N: In other words blind and deaf)
This discovery was especially strange considering who his father was.
Several tests had been conducted to confirm that he was the father (just in case) but they all came back positive showing that he was indeed the father.
So how could this have happened?
"His father's quirk enhances his five senses, right?" one of the nurses grumbled as she filed away a report on Itsuki's condition. "So how could his child be unable to use two of them? It's not adding up."
"Well, I might actually have an answer for that," a voice interrupted.
A man in a white lab coat stepped into the room.
"It's only a hypothesis," he continued, "but it might make the most sense considering his condition."
"And that would be?" another nurse asked, also typing away.
The man pulled out an iPad, displaying a medical scan, a detailed, annotated image of four wings.
"The kid was born with wings," the man explained. "At first glance, it might seem like he inherited the same quirk as his mother but I would both agree and disagree with that assumption."
He swiped the screen, revealing a scan of the mother.
"She has two wings," he said.
Then he swiped back to Itsuki's scan.
"But he has four. That's double the amount."
He zoomed into the structure of the wings.
"And you know what else he has double of? Nerves. The child has nearly twice the neural density in his wings compared to his mother and her wings are already considered ultra-sensitive."
"So what? He has double the amount anyway?" the nurse asked in confusion.
"Sorry let me rephrase this for you, we are talking each wing has double the amount of nerves as one of her wings, and he was just born," the guy narrated showing her another detailed diagram.
"So… what exactly are you trying to say?" The nurse finally stopped typing and turned toward him.
"I'm saying that it's possible—hypothetically speaking—that the child may be able to feel and see the world through his wings. If their sensitivity to touch is good enough they could act as a substitute sensory organ."
"In other words… he might eventually be able to 'see' and 'hear' through them."
"That's nice and all," the nurse sighed, "but I still can't help feeling bad for the kid. Colors aren't something you can feel. The world would just be black and white, like some old 1950s video."
"It's just one of the very few deductions I have right now," he said calmly. "Quirks don't always function according to traditional science. They're unpredictable, and often completely unreplicable." He tucked the iPad back into his coat.
"The way this quirk works may not even be based purely on touch."
He turned and began walking away.
"So don't feel bad for him yet."
.
.
.
Where am I? Did he forget to reincarnate me or something…? Itsuki thought to himself.
He couldn't see anything—nor could he hear anything. Then, all of a sudden, he felt something wrapping around him. He tried to move, but found that… oddly difficult.
Ehh? Am I still inside my mother? he groaned internally. I don't have time to—
He paused.
His words didn't seem to be wording correctly. Nothing seemed to be right.
His mouth felt too small. His hands felt… strange. He couldn't move them properly. He tried anything to move—but every attempt ended in failure.
Eventually, he simply decided to give up.
"Ahh, little Itsuki, say hello to everyone," a nurse narrated as she carried him toward a place seemingly filled with newborn children. "Everyone be nice to Itsuki," she giggled.
She placed him into a tiny empty crib that had his name written on it. It was a baby nursery—rows of newborn children resting in incredibly small cribs lined up somewhat asymmetrically.
For the first day, he found himself extremely bored. After a few hours, the monotony became unbearable. He couldn't see anything. He couldn't hear anything.
It was like that dark void from when he had first met the divine being.
I need to get out of here…
He tried unravelling whatever cloth was wrapped around him, but his hands simply wouldn't move.
MOVE!! he internally screamed.
CLICK.
A halo-like white wheel appeared above his head and spun.
He hadn't seen it. Nor had he heard the click. But he understood what had happened—like an instinct buried deep inside his mind.
John seemed pleasantly surprised when his arms and legs suddenly gained a small amount of strength. Encouraged by this, he continued trying.
After a few minutes—
CLICK.
His arms gained a little more strength.
The nurse watching over him noticed the sudden movement. It didn't help that the rest of the children were peacefully sleeping during this time of day—while he alone squirmed around in his crib.
"Hey there, little Itsuki, stay still for me," she said, unravelling the cloth wrapped around him.
Itsuki hadn't heard her—but he definitely felt the pressure against his body.
What kind of monster is doing this to me…? he groaned internally.
And he tried again.
CLICK.
CLICK.
The nurse finally saw it.
The wheel above his head.
But it was too late.
His tiny fist had already connected with her face.
CRASH.
Her body tumbled backward, a visible bruise forming across her cheek as she was sent stumbling toward the wall. Luckily, none of the newborns were hit or harmed.
But they were very much awake now.
That was a human face… Itsuki grimaced internally. And that might've been my mom… or my father.
"What happened?" the nurse muttered, touching her face as she checked for injuries.
Itsuki tried mouthing the words I'm sorry—but all that came out was a series of incoherent baby noises.
The room was already filled with screaming infants.
The message was never going to be received.
CLICK.
"I'm sowwy…" a tiny, high-pitched voice quietly said.
He had spoken.
After only a couple of hours of being born, Tenrin Itsuki muttered his first words.
The nurse had heard it—but when she told everyone later, nobody believed her.
They had simply labeled her crazy.
Itsuki tried crawling out of the crib, but he fell brutally.
CRASH.
He didn't cry though, for some reason It didn't hurt at all.
"イツキ気をつけて!"
What is she saying? he wondered. Is she speaking Japanese? I knew I should've took Duolingo lessons in Japanese instead of Spanish…
"Soww… I dwont spweakky jwapanesee…" he quietly said, his words struggling to form properly due to the physical limitations of a newborn body.
He tried taking a step—but that proved far too difficult. So instead, he began crawling.
He couldn't even see where he was going. Yet he felt a strange urge to escape the place entirely.
Everything was confusing.
CLICK.
The world suddenly became… clearer.
He grasped the situation.
This was a stupid idea… I'm literally in a hospital, he groaned. Why had he been so quick to assume he was in danger?
Better yet—imagine if I was still inside my mother.
Years of CIA training had conditioned him to expect the absolute worst in any situation. It was a deeply ingrained survival instinct—borderline trauma, really.
So perhaps he wasn't entirely to blame.
"頭の上にある車輪は何ですか!" someone suddenly screamed.
CLICK.
He understood Japanese.
"Sworry for hwitting you, mwiss…" he said quietly before sitting down.
This incident would later be recorded as one of the strangest events in the hospital's history.
A newborn who spoke within hours of birth and crawled the same day.
And it's still one of my most embarrassing memories, Itsuki groaned internally.
"Sorry, dad. I'll try my best to make some friends."

Hey guys, do you guys like the concept or not? I got a lot of collections in one day, it was so crazy, was this chapter a letdown or no?
