The vision of the story revolves around the MC, Ren, who possesses a prototype Sacred Gear called the Time Heart. Created by God using Kronos' actual heart as an experiment before the "True" Sacred Gears were finalized, it was never meant to be given to humans. Because of this connection, Kronos kidnaps Ren and pulls him 500 years into the past to Tartarus.
While Ren was initially not meant to be exceptionally gifted, his talent grew beyond my original plans. The initial plan was let him undergo 500 years of rigorous training and travel to become one of the strongest in the verse.
The kidnapping was originally set to happen during the battle with Gensai, but I decided Ren was too young at that point. Instead, I introduced the Cult of Time during the Kyoto war arc, a group that worships Kronos. And I hoped to extend this war to a few years where he eventually got kidnapped by Kronos.
Kronos' ultimate goal is to use Ren's Time Heart to hijack the Heavenly System. By doing so, he becomes the strongest being, slightly below Ophis and Great Red, allowing him to create his own army of angels and spread his Cult to rule the world in his image.
During his 500-year journey, Ren meets several figures who eventually join his party to defeat Kronos:
Grayfia Lucifuge: Ren meets her after escaping Tartarus into the Underworld. He convinces her to flee the Civil War and follow him.Artemis: Their relationship begins with a chase. After Artemis repeatedly tries to kill Ren, they eventually develop mutual feelings.Scáthach: Ren meets the legendary warrior in England; their bond is forged through battle.Artoria (Lancer) & Merlin: Merlin appears to convince Ren to save Goddess Rhongomyniad. In this version, Artoria uses the Holy Lance and gains Divinity; Ren's goal is to help her regain her humanity.Gabriel: She eventually escapes Heaven with the help of her brothers to join Ren's fight against Kronos' corrupted heavenly army.Morgan Le Fay: Ren meets her through the Lady of the Lake while seeking to forge a new sword and fix the broken Excalibur to help Artoria.
During those 500 year, there would a massive clash where the Cult of Time wrecks the Church in the background, only for Ren's party to swoop in after defeating Kronos and wipe out the Cult. This event would explain the enmity between the Church and the Cult.
While Kronos is the main threat during those 500 years, Kaguya is set up as a Big Bad whose goal is to seal or exterminate the supernatural world in the modern time. Meanwhile, the MC's half-brother is a goofball who idolizes King Arthur and provides a lighter subplot involving his friendship with Arthur Pendragon and a potential romance with Le Fay.
Due to the laws of time, the adult MC cannot meet his child self. Attempting to do so would create a paradox capable of destroying the world. This is why the adult Ren must stay away, forced to watch his younger self suffer in the Ritsuzen Estate from a distance.
This is the outline I've had plotted in my head since the beginning. I hope someone out there finds these ideas interesting enough to continue the journey.
