Just before the investors announced their decision, an executive rushed into the hall.
His face looked worried.
He walked directly toward Alexander.
"Mr. Knight… we have a problem."
Alexander frowned.
"What happened?"
The executive handed him a tablet.
Alexander's eyes narrowed as he read the screen.
Emily leaned closer.
"What is it?"
Alexander showed her the news article.
"Knight Corporation Investment Model May Be Unstable."
Emily's heart dropped.
"This isn't true."
Alexander nodded.
"I know."
Lucas spoke quietly.
"Someone leaked false analysis reports."
Emily immediately thought of one person.
Victoria Hayes.
Across the room, Victoria sat calmly sipping her coffee.
Emily clenched her hands.
"She did this."
Alexander remained calm.
"Maybe."
