Later that day, Alexander called Emily into his office.
"There's something you need to see."
Emily walked in and sat across from him.
"What is it?"
Alexander handed her a file.
Emily opened it.
Her expression changed immediately.
"This company…"
Alexander nodded.
"They're entering our market."
Emily read the name again.
Blackwood Group.
She looked up.
"I've heard of them."
Alexander's voice became serious.
"They're known for aggressive takeovers."
Emily frowned.
"And they're targeting us?"
Alexander nodded.
"Yes."
Emily leaned back in her chair.
"So now we have two rivals."
Alexander corrected calmly,
"No."
Emily raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?"
Alexander's expression hardened.
