She walked into Alexander's office.
"They want to meet me."
Alexander frowned immediately.
"No."
Emily raised an eyebrow.
"You didn't even read it."
"I don't need to."
Emily stepped closer.
"They're targeting me."
Alexander's expression darkened.
"That's exactly why you're not going."
Emily shook her head.
"I have to."
Alexander stood up.
"This could be a trap."
Emily met his gaze.
"Then I'll be careful."
Alexander remained silent for a moment.
He knew she was right.
Finally he said,
"I'm coming with you."
Emily smiled slightly.
"I expected that."
