The mansion felt quieter that evening.
After the first mission, everyone seemed more relaxed around each other.
The contestants had slowly begun forming small groups across the living room.
Luna and Minho were already arguing about something near the couch.
"I'm telling you, you walked into the bush on purpose."
Minho pointed at her dramatically.
"You pushed me!"
"I guided you."
"That's not guiding, that's sabotage."
Luna laughed.
"This is a dating show. Chaos is required."
Nearby, Tara and Kaito were sitting at the dining table.
Tara flipped through the notebook she had brought with her.
"You write lyrics here?" Kaito asked.
She nodded.
"Sometimes ideas come randomly."
Kaito smiled softly.
"I'd like to hear one someday."
Tara looked slightly surprised but nodded.
"Maybe."
Across the room, Yuri leaned casually against the wall, scrolling through his phone.
Aria stood beside the large window, quietly observing the room.
Her eyes moved between different conversations.
Everyone seemed to be slowly adjusting to the new environment.

His gaze occasionally drifted toward Merlin.

Aria folded her arms slightly.

Meanwhile, Merlin had somehow become the center of another conversation.
She was sitting cross-legged on the couch with Luna and Minho.
"So let me get this straight," Merlin said.
"You tripped three times in the maze?"
Minho raised a finger.
"Technically two."
"Luna said three."
"That's because Luna lies."
Luna gasped dramatically.
"Excuse me?"
Merlin laughed.
"You two are going to get eliminated just for being chaotic."
Minho leaned back against the couch.
"If that happens, at least it'll be entertaining."
Leon watched the conversation from across the room.
Merlin was laughing.
Relaxed.
Bright.
She was completely different from the calm, composed image she showed on stage.

At that moment, Kiara approached Jisoo near the kitchen counter.
"You're quiet tonight," she said.
Jisoo shrugged slightly.
"Just watching."
Kiara leaned casually against the counter.
"You watch people a lot."
"Part of being observant."
She smiled.
"Or maybe you're analyzing everyone."
Jisoo smirked faintly.
"Maybe."
Kiara tilted her head.
"You know… tomorrow we should explore the garden."
Jisoo looked at her.
"Why?"
She shrugged.
"Why not?"
Across the room, Merlin noticed the conversation.
Her eyes lingered on them for a moment.

Later that night, most contestants began heading upstairs.
The mansion lights dimmed slightly as the house grew quieter.
Merlin stepped out onto the rooftop terrace.
The cool night breeze brushed against her hair.
From there, the entire garden was visible under soft golden lights.
"Couldn't sleep?"
She turned.
Jisoo.
He stepped onto the terrace, hands in his pockets.
"Too many cameras," Merlin said.
"Hard to relax."
Jisoo nodded.
"Same."
For a moment, they stood side by side, looking out at the garden.
Merlin suddenly spoke.
"Do you think this experiment is actually going to work?"
Jisoo glanced at her.
"What do you mean?"
"Ten idols."
"Thirty days."
"Millions of people watching."
She smiled slightly.
"That's a lot of pressure for something as unpredictable as love."
Jisoo considered her words.
"Maybe."
"But sometimes pressure reveals things."
Merlin tilted her head.
"You sound very confident about that."
He shrugged.
"I'm curious."
Merlin laughed softly.
"That's the second time you've said that."
"Curiosity is dangerous."
Across the balcony doors, someone watched quietly.
Leon.
He had come upstairs earlier.
But when he saw Merlin and Jisoo talking together…
He stopped.
For a moment, he simply watched.
Not jealous.
Not upset.
Just thoughtful.
Inside the hallway, Aria passed by quietly.
She noticed Leon standing near the door.
And she also noticed what he was watching.
Merlin.
And Jisoo.
Aria raised an eyebrow slightly.

Back on the terrace, Merlin stretched slightly.

"This place is definitely more interesting than I expected."
Jisoo smirked.
"It's only Day One."
Merlin laughed.
"Exactly."
Somewhere in the control room, the producers watched the camera feeds.
One of them leaned forward.
"Two conversations tonight."
Another producer nodded.
"Merlin and Leon earlier."
"Merlin and Jisoo now."
The first producer smiled.
"This experiment is already working."
