His voice sounded strained.
Fear was clearly visible in his eyes.
Finn glanced down at the cup before nodding casually.
"Yeah."
Then he smiled.
"I haven't drank it yet."
Darren's heart skipped a beat.
"I'm actually about to drink it now."
The moment Finn reached for the glass, Darren reacted instinctively.
"No!"
He grabbed the cup from Finn's hand so suddenly that some of the juice splashed onto the tablecloth.
"Huh?" Evelyn blinked in surprise.
Her eyebrows knitted together.
"What's wrong with you?"
She glanced around nervously.
"Do you want to attract the King's attention over here?"
Sasha looked equally confused.
"If you're thirsty, you can simply ask for a drink."
She pointed toward the cup.
"Besides, you're the one who gave that juice to Consort Finn in the first place."
Darren forced a smile despite the panic raging inside him.
"I'm just really thirsty."
He tightened his grip on the cup.
"I've been drinking alcohol all evening."
