Chapter 5 - Black Cosmo

The headquarters of the White Legion, an organization formed to preserve peace across the multiverse, was located within a void region—between the Great Walls of a certain universe.

There, a spherical colony spanning five thousand kilometers drifted in silence.

At its core, a compact stellar reactor powered the lives and operations of countless personnel.

Within the White Legion existed several active units, each possessing the ability to defend the multiverse.

One of them—

Mirage Unit.

They were holding a strategy meeting inside a zero-gravity chamber.

Their commander, a Juxian, gazed upon the team.

With his oversized head and four unblinking eyes, he surveyed every member.

Though he had no mouth, his voice echoed clearly in their minds.

A telepathic transmission.

"The enemy threat is increasing."

A young Sveil shifted uneasily, his angular shoulders tightening.

"Black Cosmo is far stronger than before. Even the White Legion alone can no longer protect the multiverse."

"They're moving more actively than ever," added a Komarian, his long tail swaying behind his purple-skinned body.

"And Black Cosmo isn't the only threat we're dealing with."

His tone suggested resignation.

Silence fell across the chamber.

Then the commander spoke again.

Cold.

Firm.

Unyielding.

"We are the keystone of peace."

"If we retreat… the order of the multiverse collapses."

"This is the boundary."

His telepathic voice struck them like a command.

Their posture straightened instantly.

The commander turned his four eyes toward another member.

A Nekram.

A towering being with jet-black, reptilian skin—like that of a crocodile.

Despite his massive frame, he was a strategist.

A thinker.

A timeline materialized in the zero-gravity space.

The Nekram began his report.

"The origin of Black Cosmo traces back approximately fifty thousand years, to the third moon—Comora—of planet Nia."

"Today, the system's star has expanded into a red giant. The environment is now dominated by extreme heat, forcing the population to relocate."

He continued calmly.

"In its early stages, Black Cosmo was a research group. They studied evolution and the expansion of biological diversity."

A pause.

Then—

"They lost their way."

"To pursue evolution, they began abducting civilians."

"Detention. Human experimentation. Repeated violations."

"The local authorities eventually discovered their activities and dismantled the organization."

"However, some members escaped."

"And they survived."

"Since then, they have evolved into what we now call Black Cosmo."

"Illegal experimentation. Biological modification."

"Now, their primary operations include human trafficking and organ harvesting."

The timeline shifted.

"We believe the organization is led by ten core executives."

"However, this remains under investigation."

The Nekram concluded.

"At present… they are the greatest threat to the White Legion."

The timeline vanished.

All eyes returned to the commander.

He spoke once more.

"Remember this."

"We stand at the boundary."

"If we fall back, countless lives will suffer."

His voice hardened.

"Endure."

"Hold the line."

"Follow justice."

A final command echoed through every mind.

"We stand beneath the banner of justice."

Black Cosmo — End
