[The Predators]
The immortal race possessed the power of eternal life within their bodies, sustaining themselves by absorbing the life energy of every living being they encountered.
They were a terrifying species created by the Gods of Evil and the Dark Core.
Their knowledge had been cultivated over hundreds, thousands, and tens of thousands of years. Through advanced science capable of easily developing and transforming planets and moons, combined with powerful magical techniques handed down from ancient times, they evolved into a race capable of ruling over everything.
The civilization of the immortal race eventually spread throughout entire galaxies. They developed the ability to travel between galaxies, galaxy clusters, and superclusters, and their sphere of civilization expanded across the entire universe.
However, countless rebellions and wars brought about the decline of the immortal race. Eventually, living species themselves rose against them. The immortals became the ones being hunted, and their civilization gradually fell into ruin.
Yet the things left behind by the immortal race remained scattered throughout the cosmos for hundreds of millions of years.
Gigantic carnivorous beasts that covered entire oceans.
Enormous worms that crawled through the soil.
Massive battleships drifting through space without masters.
Mutated species created through repeated experimentation on living bodies, combining different species and fusing them with magical techniques.
After leaving behind countless such relics and being dragged down from their position of dominance, the immortal race nevertheless continued to exist in the depths of darkness.
Even now, in an age when the universe has returned to the hands of living beings, the immortal race dwelling in the darkness continues to absorb the energy of living creatures, sustaining its immortality.
Above all, the immortals have a particular fondness for the blood of living beings.
By absorbing blood, they can convert it into every nutrient their bodies require. They can continue living simply by drinking blood, overcoming the greatest weakness of all living things:
aging.
In the present age, people regard the existence of the immortal race as nothing more than a subject for stories, and few have any interest beyond those tales.
Yet those who discover the truth wage war against the immortals.
They use silver, a substance that causes extreme allergic reactions capable of killing them, as well as sunlight, which burns their skin, to drive the immortal race out of the darkness.
But the immortal race still exists.
They remain hidden within the darkness, steadily increasing their numbers.
And they wait.
They wait for the day when they can rise once again from the depths of darkness and reclaim their position as the rulers of the universe.
