{Third Person}
Alexander's jaw tightened faintly. Then he read another line.
Any man who helps deliver letters consistently is already halfway in love.
He closed his eyes briefly. For the first time in a very long while, he genuinely felt embarrassed. And somehow, also mildly offended.
"Nonsense," he muttered under his breath.
His gaze dropped back to the paper again despite himself.
The three girls had apparently spent half the letter shamelessly encouraging Amara to become closer to him.
Not subtly either.
Blatantly.
Alexander exhaled slowly through his nose before setting the paper down on the desk and concluding that Amara truly did not have good friends.
'What kind of people filled someone's head with this kind of rubbish?' he thought to himself.
For a brief moment, he almost felt bad for her. Almost.
But then, against his better judgment, he found himself imagining Amara reading the letter later.
