Amara slept for almost an hour before finally waking. By then, Alexander had already left her bedroom.
Only Mrs. Woods remained beside her, adjusting the blankets carefully while Ginger slept curled near Amara's legs.
"How are you feeling now, My Lady?" Mrs. Woods asked gently after noticing her awake.
Amara blinked a few times, still slightly drowsy. "The itching reduced," she admitted softly while sitting up slowly. "And I don't feel as cold as before."
Mrs. Woods smiled faintly, though her mind immediately drifted toward the Alpha Prince.
The moment he held Amara's hand earlier, her condition had visibly eased.
At the time, even Mrs. Woods noticed it clearly when she stepped in after Barron was chased away.
Still, she kept that observation to herself.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the residence, Alexander had already returned to his study.
The more he thought about Amara's condition, the more unsettled he became.
None of it felt ordinary.
