Finn supported Elder Vyom as they slowly approached the ancient tree—the same tree Elder had attacked just moments earlier.
But the tree was no longer the same.
It now behaved like a living monster. Its twisted roots were greedily absorbing Nature Energy from the earth, as if trying to drain the life out of everything around it.
Finn tightened his grip on his sword and began cutting through the tangled branches blocking their path. Beneath the roots of the tree lay the hidden entrance that led to the underground chamber.
He was just about to move toward it when—
The ground suddenly trembled violently, like the beginning of a massive earthquake.
Before either of them could react, the ceiling of the underground chamber burst open.
Two mysterious figures shot out from the depths at lightning speed, tearing through the upper layer of the earth and rushing toward the sky.
The air pressure created by their sudden emergence was overwhelming.
Finn and Elder Vyom were forced to their knees as the violent shockwave slammed into them.
The pit that once hid the chamber had now turned into a massive chasm, and everything around it began collapsing inward.
Even the gigantic tree was ripped out of the ground, roots and all, before plunging into the dark abyss below.
Reacting instantly, Elder Vyom raised his hand and formed a protective barrier, barely managing to shield the two of them from being buried under the falling debris.
When the thick cloud of dust finally settled, the entire landscape had changed.
The ground had completely caved in, revealing the underground chamber deep below.
From the imprisoned Evil Sprite's body, dark energy poured out like a black waterfall, spreading through the ruined chamber.
Elder Vyom froze.
Shock and fear flashed across his face as he stared at the horrifying sight before him.
Finn felt the same chill crawl down his spine.
But Elder Vyom quickly forced himself to regain his composure.
Most of Elder Vyom's wounds had already begun to heal.
His gaze first fell upon the body of the Evil Sprite, and then slowly shifted toward the sky—toward the two figures shining in opposite corners of the heavens like day and night.
Their radiance was so intense that they could be seen clearly even from miles away.
Pushing aside the scattered debris, Elder Vyom slowly began walking toward the Evil Sprite's body. The countless questions rising in his mind—perhaps their answers lay there.
Finn followed closely behind him.
He was struggling to turn the fear inside him into courage, but the wide look in his eyes and the tense way he held his sword made it obvious that even the slightest movement could force him to strike.
---
High above in the sky, the Dragon Sprite spread its massive rainbow-colored wings.
As they unfolded, the clouds themselves seemed to scatter and drift away.
Its form was now so majestic that the enormous shadow it cast swallowed the entire battlefield below.
But the figure standing before it was no longer the innocent boy named Lucian.
Black flames—Hellfire—poured from beneath his feet, solidifying in the air and forming dark steps that held him aloft.
From his body surged violent waves of Dark Energy, so intense that the sky itself began to shift into a deep mixture of crimson and violet.
A voice then echoed from Lucian's mouth—but it was not his own.
It was the voice of the Evil Spirit, crackling like thunder.
"So… even an ancient Dragon Sprite is willing to throw away its life for such a pathetic vessel?"
The dragon's mind was still replaying what had happened moments earlier in the depths of the underground chamber.
It had already realized something terrifying.
Even if it managed to separate Lucian from the Evil Spirit, the spirit would still find a way to seize control of him again.
Lucian was nothing more than a perfect vessel.
At first, the dragon had believed the spirit only wanted to use Lucian's power to break the ancient seal.
But this devil had done something far worse.
It had suppressed Lucian's soul itself, crushing it deep inside so it could rule over his body completely.
If this battle dragged on any longer, Lucian's soul might disappear forever.
And if that happened…
This devil would become a catastrophe for the world—one that even the warriors of Ravencrest might never be able to stop.
---
The dragon was still forming a strategy when Lucian suddenly attacked.
Several massive spheres of Hellfire shot toward the dragon.
The dragon twisted through the sky with incredible agility, spinning and diving to avoid the blazing projectiles.
Its soul connection with Lyra was still new.
Because of that, its true power had not fully awakened yet.
Flapping its enormous wings with tremendous force, the dragon unleashed powerful gusts of wind that sharpened into invisible blades, racing toward Lucian.
But Lucian merely lifted a hand.
Dark energy gathered instantly, weaving itself into a massive web of shadow that intercepted the attack and dissolved it before it could reach him.
A chilling laugh echoed across the sky.
"So it seems dragons like you have been sleeping for thousands of years," the Evil Spirit mocked through Lucian's voice, "while I have spent every moment waiting for the key to my seal."
With a casual wave of his hand, countless Void Chains erupted from the darkness and shot toward the dragon.
The dragon dove downward to evade them, but the chains continued chasing it relentlessly through the sky.
In response, the dragon spun mid-air and opened its jaws.
A blazing stream of Rainbow Breath burst forth from its mouth.
When the sacred flames collided with the black chains, the sky erupted with explosions like a storm of fireworks.
Each blast shook the land below.
Far beneath them, the forest trembled as trees were reduced to piles of ash with every thunderous detonation.
Lucian suddenly accelerated and appeared right in front of the dragon. Without hesitation, he threw a devastating punch through the air.
A massive sphere of Dark Energy erupted from his fist and slammed into the dragon's chest.
BOOM!
The impact shook the sky and the earth alike. The explosion echoed across the battlefield with terrifying force.
Far below, the shockwave reached the ground and disturbed the dark aura surrounding the unconscious Lyra.
Her eyes twitched as the sound dragged her out of her unconscious state. Pain flickered across her face, as if she were fighting someone dear to her within a nightmare.
Lyra jolted awake.
Slowly, the memories returned—the underground chamber, the violent shock, and then darkness.
Her eyes fell to her hands.
The tiny Firefly Sprite that had been with her was gone.
A short distance away, the little sprite was writhing in agony, surrounded by thick Dark Energy.
Lyra rushed toward it, but the moment she approached, the sprite suddenly attacked her.
Only then did Lyra realize the horrifying truth.
The small creature had been corrupted by the dark energy.
With a heavy heart, Lyra raised her hand, preparing to strike.
But at the last moment, the sprite gathered what little consciousness it still had and moved away from her.
A weak and painful voice echoed faintly inside Lyra's mind.
"Don't come closer… Go… save everyone. There are things here far more important than me…"
Lyra still stepped forward.
This time the sprite shouted angrily,
"Go! You have to save us all! Ravencrest… you are the one who saved this place once before… and today, you must save it again!"
With those final words, the tiny sprite disappeared from Lyra's sight.
Lyra stood frozen.
She couldn't understand what the sprite had meant about Ravencrest.
Then her gaze slowly shifted toward the enormous crater where the underground chamber once stood.
The sight that greeted her sent a cold shiver down her spine.
At the center of the abyss stood a figure bound in chains.
From its body, dark energy poured out like a raging river of shadows.
Just then, someone placed a hand on her shoulder.
Lyra screamed and spun around, but the moment she saw who it was, the fear in her eyes melted into relief.
"Elder!"
She ran forward and hugged him tightly, tears streaming down her face.
"I was so scared!"
Elder Vyom gently placed a hand on her head and briefly explained the danger they were facing.
Yet even as he spoke, his eyes remained fixed on the same dark spot where he had seen the true body of the Evil Spirit earlier.
That body still hung there—lifeless, bound in chains.
But Elder knew the truth.
That vessel still possessed the power to contain the terrible spirit once again… if it could be forced back inside.
Unfortunately, the situation had already worsened.
The spirit was now inside Lucian's body.
Separating that malicious entity from Lucian had become nearly impossible.
A bitter realization flashed through Elder Vyom's mind.
If we fail to destroy that evil spirit completely… we will have no choice but to seal it inside another vessel.
Slowly, he lifted his gaze toward the sky.
High above them floated Lucian Ravencrest, surrounded by swirling black smoke and blazing hellfire.
Looking at the boy now, it was impossible to tell whether Lucian was still alive… or if his soul had already been lost somewhere in the darkness.
Deep lines of worry formed across Vyom's forehead.
If the Evil Spirit had to be sealed by force, it would mean Lucian's sacrifice.
And that was something his little sister, Lyra, would never be able to accept.
Vyom could almost hear her screams already echoing in his mind.
He knew the other warriors would understand the necessity of such a decision.
But accepting it in his heart was far from easy.
Separating the Evil Spirit from Lucian's body was no longer just a battle.
It was like trying to tear away a person's deepest, oldest, most painful memory from the very root of their existence—leaving the body intact, but shattering the soul in the process.
Elder Vyom clenched his jaw and muttered under his breath,
"No… it's impossible. We have no choice."
"We must seal it."
---
High in the sky, the massive dragon had been hurled several hundred meters back by the impact.
But Lucian showed no sign of slowing down.
Like a bolt of lightning, he rushed toward the dragon again. Every collision between them sent violent shockwaves rippling across the sky, stirring storms across the battlefield below.
Their speed had become so overwhelming that it was nearly impossible for the naked eye to follow.
For the first time, worry appeared in the dragon's eyes.
It could clearly see that the Evil Spirit was pushing Lucian's body far beyond its natural limits. Cracks had begun to spread across Lucian's skin, and from those fractures a bloody crimson light seeped out like molten energy.
"You must stop! You are destroying this body!" the dragon's voice echoed through the air, speaking directly into Lucian's mind.
The Evil Spirit only laughed—a cruel, chilling sound.
"If this body breaks, I will simply find another… but first, I will reduce this world to ashes!"
Raising its hand, the spirit began gathering all the Dark Energy in the sky above its head. The swirling darkness condensed rapidly, forming a small sphere that resembled a black hole.
The pressure from that destructive power made the very air tremble.
---
Below, Lyra watched the terrifying sight unfold.
And in that moment, she realized the truth.
The dragon alone would never be able to stop that evil spirit.
Lyra's heart pounded violently, as if it had sensed something terrible about to happen.
Far above, fragments of the dragon's golden scales were breaking apart and drifting down through the air like burning ash.
And Lucian—or rather the demon inside him—hovered there, holding the enormous sphere of darkness, preparing to erase the dragon's very existence.
"Brother… no…" Lyra whispered.
As her eyes slowly closed, memories flashed through her mind like scenes from a film—
The destruction of her village.
The screams of innocent sprites.
And Lucian's old, gentle smile.
Even though Elder had explained everything clearly, Lyra simply couldn't accept seeing her brother like this.
Deep inside, her heart was screaming—hoping that somehow Lucian might still recognize her voice and break free from the evil spirit control.
She knew it was only false hope.
Elder had said it plainly.
Her brother was gone.
Lucian was already dead.
But Lyra's heart refused to accept that truth. In her eyes, hope and grief were battling at the same time, tears silently falling down her face.
Her heart had shattered… yet from the ruins of that broken heart, a new vow was born.
She wanted to save her brother.
She wanted to save everything that still mattered in this world—
everything that mattered to her.
Suddenly, the air around Lyra became still.
Finn and Elder Vyom looked on in shock.
The dry ground beneath Lyra's feet began to glow with a faint golden light, spreading outward like magic awakening beneath the earth.
From her small body, Divine Energy began to flow like a sacred river.
Lyra slowly closed her eyes.
Gathering the strength of her entire soul, she cried out with all her might—
"Let my brother go!"
At that very moment, a blinding pillar of light erupted from her chest, piercing through the sky and shooting directly into the dragon's body.
The instant that light entered the dragon, its wounds healed in an instant.
Its massive rainbow-colored wings began to shine like pure diamonds beneath the heavens.
The dragon let out a thunderous roar.
The destructive black sphere Lucian had created cracked apart in midair, unable to withstand the surge of sacred power.
Lyra's soul connection with the Dragon Sprite had reached its highest point.
Her Divine Energy had finally awakened.
She still could not fully control it… but the energy born from regret, hope, and the desire to save someone was unstoppable.
The dragon opened its jaws in the sky.
It gathered Lyra's pure energy and condensed it into a devastating attack—
A Divine Laser.
Voooooom!
A massive golden beam shot toward Lucian.
Wherever the light passed, ancient darkness burned away into pure white.
The sacred ray tore through the dark energy covering the sky and rushed straight toward him.
Reacting instantly, Lucian surrounded himself with a thick layer of Hell Energy.
The beam struck him and blasted him far across the sky—
but it failed to deal a fatal blow.
The Evil Spirit could feel the battle slipping out of its control.
"You insignificant Dragon Sprite… you dare challenge my power?" it snarled, its voice filled with fury and contempt.
Dark energy began to surge violently around Lucian's body.
The spirit gathered thousands of dead souls and streams of shadow energy into a swirling mass around him.
Within moments, Lucian's small body disappeared at the center of something monstrous.
A gigantic Shadow Titan emerged.
The creature was twice the size of the dragon, a towering nightmare made of darkness itself. Hundreds of shadowy arms stretched out from its massive form, and each one carried the presence of death.
The tension in the sky reached its peak.
Lucian—now completely possessed by the ancient demonic spirit—spread both of his arms wide.
Around him, dark energy that had existed for thousands of years twisted into a massive, terrifying vortex.
"Disappear!"
With a furious scream, a colossal beam of Hell Energy burst from Lucian's chest, rushing toward the dragon like a collapsing black star.
The attack was so destructive that even the air in its path burned and turned black.
The dragon narrowed its glowing eyes.
It gathered the endless Divine Energy flowing from Lyra into its throat. Its entire body began to blaze like a diamond under the heavens.
Then it opened its jaws.
With a thunderous roar, the dragon unleashed its ultimate attack—
Divine Roar.
CRACK!
When the golden divine light collided with the black hell energy in midair, it felt as if the universe itself had split apart.
A blinding white flash exploded across the sky.
The resulting shockwave was so powerful that the entire forest below was torn from its roots and hurled across the land.
The sky itself seemed to tremble.
Its color shifted violently with every passing moment—
sometimes glowing gold,
sometimes sinking into deep black darkness.
Through Lucian's memories, the lucian could clearly feel Lyra's heart.
It knew the truth.
Lyra would never be able to do it.
So it kept flying toward her without fear.
Behind her, Elder Vyom and Finn shouted desperately,
"Lyra, run!"
"Move away from there, child!"
But Lyra didn't move.
Her eyes remained fixed only on her brother.
Deep inside, she knew that if Lucian were still himself… he would have done the same thing. No matter how cruel the world had been to him, he would still stand there to protect others.
But the moment their eyes met—
Lyra's resolve wavered.
A single tear slipped down her cheek.
She froze.
At that moment, she didn't want to fight.
She just wanted to run forward and hug her brother.
A sinister smile slowly appeared on Lucian's face.
"I've won…"
