Dr: Describe it
Maria: They're not... loud to shatter a glass or my soul to be exact. But they argue that makes my heart get stabbed with thorns. One of them tells me to stay quiet like a little girl who behaves. Another gets angry. Really angry. And sometimes I feel small. Like I'm seven again. Like I'm back to those days which were horrible or something worse than horrible.
Dr: And when you feel small?
"I can't move. I freeze. I see blood."
Doctor Flores was more attentive now. too focused.
"Blood???" she repeated. voice sharper.
"There was... an incident. Years ago. I saw too much of it. I can't handle the sight or smell now. My hands shake. My vision blurs. My heart aches like it has been shattered like glass."
