Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Water Release: Spiral Flow Burial, and the Sharingan!

The Kaguya charged.

With the Peacock Mystical Method active, Gen Takuya seemed unable to dodge—

But unfortunately for them, he wasn't a shinobi from Hoshigakure whose only method of attack was the Peacock Mystical Method.

If Peacock Mystical Method: Tiger Fiend couldn't kill them all fast enough…

Then he simply wouldn't use it.

The purple tiger roared once—then vanished as Gen Takuya cut off chakra supply.

Now, facing the swarm head-on, Gen Takuya formed seals.

"Water Release: Water Blade Revolving Technique!"

In an instant, streams of water manifested around him—spinning, widening, spreading outward.

When the charging Kaguya touched the revolving water, it didn't meet resistance.

It passed through flesh like it wasn't there.

The Kaguya who had been pierced still stood upright… until the person behind bumped into him.

Then the body toppled in halves.

That was the technique's true purpose.

Before, against Uchiha Obito, Gen Takuya had only maintained it along his body's surface—to prevent contact.

This was the real use.

Even so, the blade-like water, no matter how many bodies it cut apart, couldn't carve fear into their minds.

The survivors simply trampled their own dead—rolling, dodging, leaping.

Some sprang high into the air with frightening athleticism, diving down at Gen Takuya like beasts.

"Tch. Annoying," Gen Takuya muttered.

They weren't strong.

They were just… insane.

A large number closed in—some airborne, some from the ground—having slipped through the death zone of the water blades.

Their faces twisted into ecstatic grins—

And then—

Pfft!

Gen Takuya vanished into a puff of smoke.

A Shadow Clone.

The Kaguya froze for a heartbeat, confused—

And from within that smoke, a stream of water shot out and crawled along their bodies like living rope, racing to bind everyone in range.

They grabbed it, tore at it, tried to block it—

It didn't matter.

They couldn't break it.

Even when they intercepted it, it flowed around their hands and continued forward.

In moments, the water had wrapped them all.

A calm voice fell over them like judgment.

"Water Release: Water Prison Technique!"

The water exploded outward—

A massive sphere of trapped water formed around the Kaguya gathered near the clone, swallowing them into a single, sealed cage.

Gen Takuya pressed his palm against the prison.

He'd once wanted to test something like this on Konan, but he'd held back—afraid she'd die. Now, he finally had the perfect experimental subjects.

His tongue ran over his lip. A faint bloodthirsty gleam flashed in his eyes.

One-handed seals.

"Water Release: Spiral Flow Burial!"

Inside the water prison, the calm water began to rotate.

Not as a simple whirlpool—

But with the same principle as the Rasengan: countless currents spinning in layered, spiraling directions, grinding against each other with terrifying force.

The Kaguya inside didn't even have time to scream.

Their bodies were shredded by the rotational pressure—

Flesh torn apart, bone ground down—

Until the prison turned completely red, bright and grotesque.

When Gen Takuya released the technique, what poured out wasn't bodies.

Not even chunks.

Only tiny granules—like blood-soaked sand.

Gen Takuya's eyes widened slightly.

The technique's brutality exceeded even his expectations.

Its raw destructive power couldn't compare to Wind Release: Rasenshuriken—

But the chakra cost was far lower.

The condition was harsher, though: you had to trap the target in Water Prison first.

Still… paired with Water Shadow Clone and the Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique, it could become a true combo.

And if it hit?

In terms of viciousness, it might surpass even the Rasenshuriken.

If he could trap Kakuzu inside, he might be able to erase all five lives at once.

Of course… that required actually trapping Kakuzu.

Gen Takuya let out a slow breath.

Good thing he hadn't used this on Konan back then.

He didn't even want to imagine what Nagato would do if she died like this.

The man would probably feed every last drop of his remaining life force into the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path just to kill him.

Then another thought surfaced.

Not Kakuzu.

Hidan.

Hidan would be easier to trap.

If Gen Takuya reduced Hidan into… that…

Could he still live?

The story had established that if Hidan was buried and starved of "energy," he would eventually die. That meant his immortality still required a supply—chakra, or whatever power his "Jashin" granted.

So if he was shredded down to granules…

Would that power still function?

Interesting.

If he ever got the chance… he could test it.

Even after witnessing that nightmare of an execution, the remaining Kaguya still didn't fear him.

Even if they knew they were outmatched, there was no such thing as retreat for them.

They feared boredom more than death.

So they charged again.

Gen Takuya looked at them and considered.

Then he decided to test another system.

Seals flashed.

"Ninja Art: Water Mist Technique!"

Dense fog surged across the Kaguya territory, swallowing the village and devouring all sight.

Gen Takuya's figure vanished into the white.

In the mist, his eyes shifted—

Black turned to blood-red.

A single tomoe spun.

Yes.

The Sharingan.

Months after Minato became the Fourth Hokage, Gen Takuya had finally completed his research into the Chimera Technique.

And he had fused the Uchiha bloodline.
