CHAPTER 74 GOING OUT
Apollo sat with legs crossed at the academy courtyard.
It was about time for his class so he waited patiently for his students to show up.
And soon, the sound of multiple footsteps against the cobblestone came from the distance.
Apollo opened his eyes to see Roman, Sylver, Lunar, Anya, Sarah, Carl, Billy, Bryon and Lan, heading towards his direction.
In a short while, they formed a straight line with hands behind their backs.
"Good afternoon sir!"
Lan smiled.
Apollo quickly glanced at them before standing up.
"Good to see you guys again "
He said.
"Are you ready for today?"
"Yes sir"
They nodded.
"Alright, I see no reason for us to waste anymore time"
Apollo said and faced another direction.
"Come on, we're going out"
The students glanced at each other before looking back at Apollo.
"Out??"
Sarah asked.
"Ask questions later when we get to where we going"
Apollo replied and continued forward while they trailed behind him.
They followed Apollo to a particular direction, the stables.
Apollo pushed opened the wooden doors and head inside.
"Have you guys ridden on horse back before?"
He asked.
"Does a carriage count?"
Bryon asked.
"What about a flying danger beast"
Roman smirked.
Apollo paused and looked at him.
"You've done that before?"
"It's nothing new"
Lunar shrugged.
"Carl and I had few horse riding lessons, so we can handle it"
Sarah said.
"I was never actually good with horses"
Carl muttered.
Apollo chuckled.
"Well you're going to learn on the go"
Apollo walked to a particular cot and opened.
A brown stead with grey hair was seen, feeding on dry hay.
"Hey boy"
Apollo ruffled the hair.
"You guys go around and take your pick"
The stable was large enough to hold more than fifty horses, so the students spread around to find their match.
Roman took slow steps as he observed the horses. Lunar and Anya were by his side.
"You ever ride a horse before?"
Roman asked, glancing at Anya.
"Yes. I've trained with horses on multiple occasions"
Anya nodded.
"Is there any training you haven't done yet?"
Lunar asked.
Anya stared at him.
"Well I haven't trained with you yet, I wonder how that's going to be "
She said.
Lunar suddenly choked on his spit causing Roman to chuckle.
"I can't wait for that session "
He said.
He paused in front of a cot and opened it.
A thick black stallion with snow white hair stared back at him.
Roman smirked.
"Why do you always pick the wild looking stuff?"
Lunar rolled his eyes.
"What can I say, I'm pretty wild myself "
Roman shrugged.
Lunar opened another cot and brought out a black horse.
"This would do"
Anya chose a brown horse.
Sylver walked towards them guiding a white horse by the reins.
"Now I'm jealous of your white skin"
Lunar's eyes scanned the white horse and Sylver's skin.
"But you have white skin"
Roman said.
"Yeah, but the girls skin are more flawless"
Lunar complained.
"Do you wanna be a girl?"
Sarah asked, pulling a horse behind her.
"I actually took him for a girl when I first saw him"
Roman chuckled.
"And he still looks like one "
"I could punch you right now"
Lunar smirked.
"If you fast enough "
Roman smiled.
"Alright break it up you guys"
Sarah snapped.
"Why don't you too fight tomorrow at Miss Amy's class"
Roman looked at her then back at Lunar.
"Sounds like a plan"
Lunar smirked.
"Alright guys"
Apollo's voice echoed from the other side.
"Let's head out. We move slowly so you can get a feel of the horses. Let's go"

Apollo led the students across the bustling streets of the city.
Avalon City is divided into three districts.
There is the lower district where the average people lives, like the farmers, the hunters and the likes.
Next is the Middle district, with taller buildings and flashy houses. It's meant for regular knights and Adventurers and most merchants. Of course people of the lower district can move to the middle of they can afford it.
Next is the Upper district, meant for the higher echelons and royal knights. And also the academy is based there. The upper district is mainly controlled by the big three, the biggest clans directly under the king.
Apollo led them through a short cut so they could get to the city gates faster.
They passed through alley and came out from another side of the city. A grand building appeared before them.
"That's the city Guild hall "
Apollo pointed at the grand cathedral.
"I used to go on quests once in a while. I'll have you registered soon enough, my classes aren't going to be boring one bit."
"Yes, you're the best sir Apollo".
Lan exclaimed.
"Wait, are we currently going outside the city?'
Carl asked.
"Of course, I'll explain the details when we get to our destination"
Apollo nodded.
"But aren't we gonna get in trouble for leaving"
Bryon asked.
"Relax, your with me aren't you"
Apollo let out a smile.
Behind them, Roman's mind wandered about, thinking of a way to benefit from their short trip.
Soon, they reached the city gates.
The Knights on duty were quick to clear the way upon sighting Apollo.
They exited the city and Apollo glanced black at them.
"Alright guys, let's ride"
He kicked his horse in the side and the stead reacted by launching forward without wasting time.
"Right behind you sir!"
The kicked their horses and followed suit.
