Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: Can You Give Me an Autograph?

Even if Mahā was incredibly powerful, one undeniable fact remained—he was already old. Extremely old. His strength had certainly declined significantly, and his physical condition could no longer sustain high-intensity battles.

Although an old monster like him would definitely have many trump cards, Roy had no conflict with him. Was it worth it for Mahā to use those trump cards for no reason?

Obviously not.

After a brief moment of consideration, Roy agreed to Zeno.

After taking a long, winding route, Roy followed Zeno and finally met Mahā.

Just like in the manga, he wore a gray jacket with orange trim, pants rolled up above his knees, and blue slippers hanging loosely from his feet. The strongest member of the Zoldyck family at present!

His first appearance had been during the Yorknew arc, where he, along with Illumi Zoldyck and Kalluto Zoldyck, took part in the mission to wipe out the Ten Dons of the mafia.

However, when Roy saw him, he realized that Mahā was watching an anime on TV with great interest.

After bringing Roy here, Zeno left.

At this moment, only Mahā and Roy remained in the room.

Roy couldn't understand why Mahā, who had already begun peacefully enjoying his retirement, had specifically called him over.

Even if Isaac Netero had encouraged this, it was obvious that Mahā himself wanted to meet Roy.

Confident in his own strength and judgment, Roy didn't stand on ceremony. He casually grabbed a small stool and sat down, watching the anime together with Mahā.

To be honest, the current anime in the Hunter world was pretty terrible—almost all of it was childish content aimed at very young audiences.

Aside from that, there was only that bizarre late-night anime that used to air on a special channel.

It had once been Milluki Zoldyck's favorite.

But now…

Perhaps it was worth considering turning Dragon Ball into an anime?

Actually, even before Roy had this idea, Luke had already been thinking the same thing. However, since Roy was about to participate in the Hunter Exam and the future was uncertain, Luke didn't want to take risks.

So he temporarily shelved the Dragon Ball anime adaptation plan.

But later, after using his network and making considerable effort, Luke finally learned that Roy and his young wife had both passed the Hunter Exam and officially become Hunters!

Luke was overjoyed and immediately decided to move forward with the Dragon Ball anime project.

He had even privately contacted TV stations and several well-known producers.

Clearly, the influence of Dragon Ball was enormous—many TV stations and producers were fighting fiercely for the opportunity to adapt it into an anime!

Luke had already made arrangements behind the scenes and even released some information online, but he still hadn't directly announced it publicly.

He was waiting for Roy to return and finalize everything.

And just when Luke was full of anticipation…

Roy had disappeared?!

After that, Luke made inquiries everywhere, anxiously searching for Roy's whereabouts.

Of course, Roy knew nothing about any of this.

After the anime ended, Mahā finally lifted his head and looked at Roy, speaking in a low, heavy voice:

"I heard there was a young man who could defeat Netero, but I didn't expect him to be this young. Heh heh heh."

"You flatter me." Roy showed full respect to this elderly man who might be nearly a hundred years older than him.

Mahā smiled and continued, "Are you wondering why I suddenly asked to see you?"

"Although you defeated Netero, there are too many strong people in this world. I can't possibly meet them one by one. The reason I sought you out is because of two matters."

"I see. Then please, go ahead."

Mahā nodded. The next second, his expression became serious, and the atmosphere in the entire room instantly turned solemn.

Roy's expression also became serious.

"The first matter…" Mahā spoke slowly, his voice heavy.

Roy straightened his back. Could this be related to the Dark Continent?

Then, Mahā suddenly took out a brand-new, well-preserved copy of Dragon Ball and a black marker from somewhere.

Roy: "..."

?????

An autograph? Are you serious?! Why are you making it sound so serious?!

Roy screamed internally. He really wanted to ask if Mahā was joking.

But seeing Mahā's serious face, as if he wasn't joking at all, Roy swallowed his words, picked up the pen, and solemnly signed his name.

"Ho ho ho ho! Thank you very much, young man!"

Mahā carefully took the signed manga from Roy and stored it away with great care.

Seeing how serious Mahā was, Roy gradually understood—this wasn't a joke. Mahā genuinely loved things like manga and anime.

"Ah, when you get old, you don't have many pursuits left. Watching things meant for children is enough."

Mahā looked very satisfied after getting the autograph.

"I didn't expect you to like my work. I'm truly honored."

Mahā waved his hand. "No need to be so polite. Your manga is indeed excellent. If I hadn't been wandering around the house out of boredom a few months ago and happened to get this manga from a direct member of the Zoldyck family, I might never have known such a remarkable work existed."

Once he got excited, Mahā became a bit talkative.

"But that family member was quite something. The walls were covered with posters of girls, the desk was filled with figurines, and there were snacks and desserts everywhere. It didn't look like the room of an assassin at all!"

Roy: "..."

He had a pretty good idea where Mahā got the manga from.

Based on that description, it was almost certainly from his plump second brother, Milluki.

But hadn't his second brother always preferred shoujo manga?

Roy only thought about it briefly and didn't dwell on it. Instead, he asked:

"Then what is the second matter you wanted to discuss with me?"

"The second matter…" Mahā leaned back into his rocking chair and began to sway gently.
