Chapter 13 - Chapter 13-18+

"Xuanyu! Hahaha!" The big guy came over and gave me a bear hug.

"Cut the crap. First, think about how you're going to explain why you're late. It hasn't been long, but you need to properly introduce yourself to everyone. I told you, my mother-in-law is here this time—don't mess this up." I waved off his overly "bromantic" gesture and kept walking as I spoke.

"Don't worry... I definitely won't... Holy crap!"

Before we even reached Aunt Ouyang, Chu Yun was patting his chest and assuring me when his eyes locked onto his goddess—and the group of beauties surrounding her. His previously squinted eyes instantly widened.

"Xuanyu? Uh... which one is your mother-in-law?"

"The one with the long wavy hair. Just call her Aunt Ouyang."

"What about that petite one who looks like a high school student?"

"That's my younger sister, Lin Xuanman... and yes, she is a high school student."

"Your girlfriend looks even better than in the photos."

"Of course... Her name is Qin Jingyan. If you get it wrong, I'll kill you!"

"Huh? Wait... what? That Mu... Mu Xianning... why are there two of her?"

"What do you mean 'two'? Have you never heard of the word 'twins'?"

"Twins?! No way!" Chu Yun's eyes lit up.

"So... which one is she?"

"The one with curly hair! The one with her hair tied up is Mu Lingze, her younger sister."

I covered my face, helplessly chatting with him on the side. If I didn't clarify things now, who knew what kind of mess he'd cause later.

"Got it! Leave it to me!" Chu Yun patted his chest again and headed straight toward the group of beauties.

Wait... aren't you forgetting your suitcase? Damn it, this idiot. I guess I'll carry it for him.

Watching him walk ahead—tall and sturdy—while I dragged the suitcase behind him, I really looked like his lackey. "Zhao Chenyu really has no sense of awareness."

The ladies stopped chatting and watched as this "wall" of a man slowly approached them.

"Aunt... Aunt Ouyang, hello. My name is Chu Yun, Xuanyu's roommate. I've heard so much about you... about how incredibly beautiful you are, and seeing you today, it's absolutely true. It's a pleasure to meet you." After speaking, Chu Yun bowed slightly.

The air fell silent. Watching from behind him, I felt like a crow trailing ellipses should have flown across the top-left corner of my vision.

Damn it, this idiot perfectly demonstrated what it means to flatter someone and end up kicking the horse instead.

"Pfft—" My sister was the first to lose it, covering her mouth as she burst into laughter.

"Pfft—"

"Hahaha—"

"Hahaha—"

All five beauties broke into smiles, their laughter ringing out like a chorus of birds, drawing curious glances from nearby travelers.

But this idiot Chu Yun actually played dumb: "Huh? Isn't it true?" This sparked another wave of clear, bright laughter.

"Enough already! If you can't flatter people, just shut up! Go stand over there!" Mu Xianning walked over, barely holding back her laughter, and gave Chu Yun a playful but firm smack.

"Huh? Okay!" Chu Yun started to move, his tall, sturdy yet clueless demeanor making everyone laugh even harder. My sister was already doubled over, shaking with laughter on Jingyan's shoulder.

"Alright, Xianning, stop teasing him. Chu Yun, was it? Which characters are in your name?" Aunt Ouyang looked him up and down.

"Chu as in 'to store,' Yun as in 'cloud.'"

"Alright, Xuanyu must have introduced you already. We're all friends here to have fun, so don't be so reserved. Go sit over there with Zhao Chenyu." Aunt Ouyang pointed toward Zhao Chenyu, who was already seated in the corner.

"Sure, I'll do as you say!" Chu Yun turned to leave.

"Wait, let's exchange contacts!" Mu Xianning stretched out her long leg to block her way, holding out her phone screen. I could clearly feel Chu Yun's body trembling. He fumbled in his pocket for his phone, swiped three times before unlocking it, and his hands shook as he scanned the code.

What is this enchantress Mu Xianning up to now?

"Are you silly? There are so many people here, and you're only adding me?" Mu Xianning glanced at Chu Yun, who was turning away, and casually dropped this remark.

"Oh—right! What Mu... Xianning, the beauty, said is correct." Chu Yun hesitated, glancing at Mu Lingze beside him.

"Lingze, the beauty, right? Let's add each other as friends."

"Jingyan, the beauty, should be called Sister-in-law Jingyan, hehe." I thought to myself, sister-in-law? According to your logic, that's your stepmother!

"Lin Xuanman, Xuanman, little beauty, can we add each other as friends?"

"Aunt Ouyang, it's an honor, an honor."

Just like that, in no time, Chu Yun had obtained the contact information of five beauties.

I looked at Mu Xianning's mischievous eyes as she covered her mouth, whispering something to Mu Lingze beside her. What is this girl planning? Just as I was pondering, Aunt Ouyang turned her head toward me, then turned it back again... What is Aunt Ouyang up to now?

"Finally, we're here. It's so hot." My sister put on her sun hat. Zhao Chenyu walked beside Aunt Ouyang, pulling two suitcases. I wanted to take Jingyan's suitcase, but she said it wasn't necessary. Chu Yun, meanwhile, had made his way to Mu Xianning's side. "Will you help me with my suitcase?" Mu Xianning asked.

"Sure, I'll take it!" Chu Yun took it from her.

"Oh dear... What about me then? Both of them are the same, yet no one is helping me." Mu Lingze said with a hint of resentment.

This left Chu Yun awkwardly standing there—well, I guess it's up to me. I took Chu Yun's black suitcase and let him carry the twin beauties' luggage. "Thanks, stepdad!" Chu Yun whispered in my ear.

I shot him a glare, thinking, if you don't end up with Mu Xianning, I'll break your legs!

My sister and Jingyan huddled together, chattering about koalas.

After dropping off our luggage at the hotel, our group headed to our first destination—the **Wildlife World.

"Not to mention anything else, this mandrill really has a unique look." Aunt Ouyang, dressed lightly, took off her sunglasses to observe the mandrill hiding in the tree, its mouth wide open.

"Exactly, just like Zhao Chenyu—ugly and strong." Mu Lingze said, pulling Mu Xianning along, with the clueless Chu Yun trailing behind.

"I think the black macaque over there looks more like Brother Chenyu. The mandrill clearly has a colorful face." My sister stood in the middle of the path, scanning the "primate" animals on both sides, and naively followed their conversation.

"Haha, you're all teasing Zhao Chenyu like this. He might get angry later." Jingyan held my hand, covering her mouth as she spoke with a smile.

"No, no, it's fine. If the park allowed it, since Aunt Ouyang and the beauties said so, I'd definitely go in and become their leader!" Zhao Chenyu said calmly.

"Haha!! Haha!"

"Haha!"

His remark had everyone beaming with smiles. I turned to look at Zhao Chenyu, who was laden with a pile of items—this guy had really come prepared. Towels, tissues, water—he had it all. Everyone was wearing the mosquito-repellent bracelets he provided, and he even held a professional camera in his hands, as if he weren't here as a tourist but as a photographer we'd hired. "So, how do we proceed, Zhao Chenyu?" Aunt Ouyang asked.

"First, to the Panda Village," Zhao Chenyu said, glancing at his phone.

"Ah? Aren't we going to see the koalas? They're so close by," my younger sister said, pointing at the large map of the scenic area with a disappointed look.

"Xuanman, we'll see them on the way out—it's more efficient that way," Zhao Chenyu explained.

"Alright, Brother Chenyu," my sister replied, a bit dejected, as she walked over to Jingyan and linked arms with her sister-in-law.

I had no objections to Zhao Chenyu's arrangements. The only thing that bothered me was him calling her "Xuanman"—it felt a bit off. But upon second thought, there wasn't really any other way to address her. Maybe I was overthinking it.

"I want some water."

"Here, it's right here!" I turned around to see Chu Yun frantically handing a water bottle to Mu Xianning, even thoughtfully unscrewing the cap for her.

"You grabbed the wrong one—that's mine," Mu Lingze said from Chu Yun's other side, startling him so much he nearly dropped the bottle.

"Haha!" The twin beauties seemed to enjoy teasing him like this.

"Is that Chu Yun interested in Mu Xianning?" Jingyan nudged me. Xuanman, curious as ever, moved from Jingyan's side to mine, tugging at my arm with her adorable round eyes wide with interest.

"Yeah, you noticed?"

"Of course…" Jingyan smiled smugly before continuing, "Should we help him out?"

"No need. Look at him, flanked by two beauties—how many people are watching him? He's enjoying it," I said, deliberately teasing.

"Aren't you the same? Or are you saying Xuanman and I aren't beauties?" Jingyan tossed her long hair.

"You both are, you both are," I reassured the two beauties beside me, my gaze shifting to Aunt Ouyang, who had stopped ahead. Zhao Chenyu was hovering around her, occasionally lifting his camera to snap a photo of her.

"Wow, pandas! They're so cute!" Our group walked toward the panda enclosure, drawing glances from many male tourists. My sister, seeing the adorable pandas, forgot her earlier disappointment and ran over to press against the glass barrier, watching intently as the chubby pandas munched on bamboo.

"Yeah, pandas are so big yet so cute," Mu Lingze remarked, leaning on my sister's left side, with Mu Xianning standing to her left.

"And they're so clean—you can tell they're living comfortably. Not like those poor national treasures in that thieving country, who have nothing to eat and are treated as cash cows," Jingyan said sadly, resting her head on Mu Lingze's shoulder.

"This place isn't bad—no long lines, and the crowd is manageable."

Aunt Ouyang walked over to Jingyan's left, leaning against the railing and waving at the pandas.

I didn't approach; instead, I took two steps back and suddenly noticed that these five exceptionally beautiful women were all leaning against the railing in the same pose. Because of this posture, they had to bend forward and lift their hips, resembling different models performing the same movement, each showcasing their own unique beauty. Ten bare, snow-white legs supported five plump to petite buttocks, like five flowers—from budding to full bloom, from youthful innocence to enchanting allure. From right to left, they portrayed the magnificent journey of transformation in life.

"Senior brothers, come over here!" Zhao Chenyu called me and Chu Yun to stand behind him, then shouted ahead, "Aunt Ouyang, don't move!"

Hearing his voice, Aunt Ouyang and the others turned around. Seizing the moment, Zhao Chenyu decisively snapped a photo. "How is it? Let me see!" His younger sister jogged over to him, and Zhao Chenyu handed her the camera. "Wow! So beautiful! Brother Chenyu, your photography skills are really good."

His sister gave him a thumbs-up.

"Let me see." Aunt Ouyang walked over, her gaze falling on the camera's viewfinder. Five stunningly beautiful women, with perfect curves ranging from voluptuous to petite, subtly twisted their rounded hips and gently turned their heads, exuding an ambiguous charm. In the distance, a giant panda even raised the bamboo in its paw, as if applauding this captivating scene. She couldn't help but smile faintly.

"Not bad..."

"Hehe, it's all thanks to the natural beauty of these ladies. It's my honor to capture such a great photo," Zhao Chenyu said excitedly. The women all seemed pleased with his praise, except for Mu Xianning, who subtly let out a soft, dismissive "tch."

"Ah, what a pity Aunt Liu isn't here... It would have been even better if she were," Jingyan said, holding Aunt Ouyang's hand and pouting slightly.

"Your Aunt Liu and Uncle Lin are enjoying their time alone as a couple."

Aunt Ouyang patted Jingyan's hair but seemed momentarily lost in thought, as if her casual remark had reminded her of something. "I know, it's because of Uncle Qin... Let's move on to the next stop," Zhao Chenyu directed everyone. Aunt Ouyang quickly snapped out of her reverie and followed his lead. Jingyan and I exchanged a glance, then both looked toward Aunt Ouyang's lonely figure, our eyes filled with sympathy for her.

After walking for quite a while, everyone grew tired. Fortunately, there was a small train in the scenic area, and our group boarded it. Once again, the five beauties attracted the attention of many tourists.

"Brother, look at that little monkey! Its tail can hang from the tree!" My younger sister pointed excitedly at a small black monkey leaping between ropes.

"Yeah, it can." As I glanced up, Aunt Ouyang, sitting in front of me, happened to be looking at me too.

"Auntie, what's wrong?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Nothing, maybe I'm feeling a bit unwell from the flight," Aunt Ouyang said calmly. But as someone who had known her since childhood, I could tell she was just making an excuse.

"Wow, an alpaca! It's kind of ugly, but this one doesn't look like Brother Chenyu. Oh, wait—this alpaca's hairstyle is just like Brother Chu Yun's!" my sister exclaimed. Everyone turned to look at Chu Yun's messy fringe and the alpaca's disheveled bangs—they really did look somewhat alike.

"Hmm, it does look a bit like it," Mu Xianning said thoughtfully. Everyone burst into laughter—not just us, but even the other passengers sharing the ride were chuckling.

I deliberately leaned forward to take a look. Auntie Ouyang merely smiled faintly.

"Ahhh!! I'm going to get a foil perm as soon as I get back!" Chu Yun shouted indignantly.

"Ostrich! Ah, don't come bite me!"

"Tigers! They're so close—will they jump out? And there's a white tiger too!"

"Ah, so cute! Baby tigers!"

"Pfft, brother, the giraffe licked my hand!"

"Brother Chenyu, take a picture of me! And one of me with my brother too!"

My sister was shouting freely, as if completely unaware of any restraint. Watching her carefully yet joyfully feeding the giraffe, it felt like I was seeing her for the first time. At home or at school, she would never act like this—always gentle, fragile, even hunching her shoulders and lowering her head, afraid of being noticed by others.

So this is what my sister is really like. The pressure of studying has forced her to close herself off. While this outing is just leisure and entertainment for us, for her, it might be more about release and letting go.

That's why the moment the umbilical cord is cut, a child becomes an independent individual—not just physically, but psychologically too. Many family issues arise from neglecting the psychological aspect. I need to care more about my sister...

"Koalas—!!"

My sister and Jingyan's eyes lit up, their hands cupped under their chins as they stared dreamily at the koala intently munching on eucalyptus leaves.

"Look at that one sleeping on the tree!"

"That one's on the branch, and that one seems to be eating while sleeping, haha, just like a little kid!"

"So cute—so cute!" Jingyan shook my arm vigorously, her face full of excitement, completely unaware of the waves of movement her ample chest was creating.

"It's a shame we can't touch them here. Maybe we'll have a chance to get closer in Australia," Auntie Ouyang said as she walked over. Zhao Chenyu was still following behind her, taking photos of us.

"I think your build would suit being a eucalyptus tree, with a little koala hanging off you," Mu Xianning said, patting Chu Yun's arm. Mu Lingze snickered beside her.

"Do you like koalas?" Chu Yun asked.

"Me? I don't know," Mu Xianning replied, glancing away with a hint of shyness.

Interesting! There's a chance! But with Mu Xianning's tricky ways, it's hard to tell if she's acting or not.

As the sun set and the summer heat gradually faded... we spent the day exploring and returned to the hotel after dinner as night fell.

"Ah—finally, time to rest!" Jingyan exclaimed as she entered the spacious room, immediately throwing herself onto the soft bed.

As soon as I closed the door, I eagerly embraced her soft, delicate body.

"Hey, turn on the AC first! It's so hot!" Jingyan pushed me away.

"Alright, alright!" I turned on the AC and drew the curtains. The sound of doors closing echoed outside—the others must have entered their rooms too. The rooms were arranged by Auntie Ouyang: Jingyan and I shared one, the Mu twins shared another, Auntie Ouyang and my sister shared one, and Chu Yun and Zhao Chenyu shared the last.

"Mwah! Mmm—" Back on the bed, Jingyan wrapped her arms around me, eagerly clinging to me and kissing me, just like her favorite koala.

"Ah—boop!" I quietly slipped my hand into Jingyan's clothes. Her smooth skin was slightly sticky with sweat, as if lubricated.

"Mmm—annoying! You're pinching my chest again!" Jingyan pouted shyly.

"Can't help it. A certain beauty's big butt won't even let her husband touch it. Tell me, isn't this wife a bit unqualified?" I tickled her sensitive waist, making her squirm and struggle.

"Ah, stop! So annoying! I won't let you touch it! I won't! Ahaha! It tickles!" Jingyan pleaded for mercy while laughing loudly.

"Heh! Let's see how I deal with you, you mischievous little lady!" In no time, I stripped off my clothes and tossed them on the floor, then pulled back the blanket and peeled off Jingyan's clothes too.

"Ah! Bad husband, aren't you tired?" Jingyan blushed, covering her ample breasts and squeezing her legs together.

"Tired? Of course I'm tired—but that's after I'm done with you! Heh!" I pounced on her.

"Ah—you jerk!" Jingyan cried out playfully.

"Thump, thump, thump." The bedsheet protested loudly in dissatisfaction.

About ten minutes later...

I lay sprawled on the bed, feeling utterly relaxed, listening to the sound of running water from the bathroom nearby. I stretched my sore legs, feeling a mix of pain and satisfaction.

I really overdid it today. I thought back to everything that happened—some parts were fun, others were strange. First, there was Aunt Ouyang. I don't know if she did it on purpose, but she ignored me all day, though she kept giving me deep, meaningful glances, as if she wanted to say something but held back. It made me feel uneasy.

Then there was Mu Xianning's attitude toward Zhao Chenyu. Even though it was their first time meeting, why did she seem so dismissive of him? Could there be something going on?

No, I have to ask.

I opened my phone and found Mu Xianning's WeChat chat.

Me: "Are you there?"

Mu Xianning: "Yeah. Shouldn't you be busy with your girlfriend, young master? What made you think of me?" She replied instantly, but her tone was dripping with sarcasm.

Me: "Nothing, just asking what you're up to."

Mu Xianning: "You're not trying to pry into Jingyan's little secrets, are you? I won't tell. Who knows if she's watching over your shoulder?" I was speechless, wondering what I did to offend her.

Me: "No, I'm just curious why you seem so indifferent to Zhao Chenyu."

Mu Xianning: "Why? Who is he to you? A relative or something? Why do you care so much?" Oh no, I think I've offended her.

Me: "I don't care about him. He's nothing to me. I'm just curious."

Mu Xianning: "So you care about me, then?" I felt like I was talking to a crazy person.

Me: "Sure, sure. So tell me, is there something between you two? Like that day at the hotel /snicker."

Mu Xianning: "No, it's just that a friend of mine from my hometown dated him and said he was stingy and sneaky. I don't like him." Me: "Oh, that's it? I thought it was something serious."

Mu Xianning: "[Voice Message] (Anything else you want to ask?)" As I listened to her message, I could hear a man's voice in the background saying, "Bomb! I win! Senior Chu, put on the sticky note!"

Me: "Is there a guy with you?"

Mu Xianning: "Yeah, Zhao Chenyu and your roommate Chu Yun are here. They're playing Landlord with Ling Ze. We wanted to play mahjong, but I didn't feel like it—actually, I just didn't want to play with Zhao Chenyu."

"Alright, I'm off then."

"Sure, go keep your beauty company."

I closed the chat with her, resting my hands behind my head as I pondered. It was probably Chu Yun trying to pull Zhao Chenyu along to get closer to Mu Xianning. Inviting her to play mahjong was a good move, but unfortunately, he didn't know about the issues between Mu Xianning and Zhao Chenyu, so what could have been a good thing turned into a mess.

I had originally wanted to ask Mu Xianning things like, "What do you think of Chu Yun?" or "How do you feel about my roommate's character?" But then I thought, asking such questions right after just meeting would seem too deliberate. Better to wait until everyone is more familiar with each other.

Just then, Jingyan also stepped out, wrapped in a bathrobe.
