Morning light slowly crept through the hotel curtains.
The room was quiet… very quiet.
On the bed, Jay and Keifer were still asleep, tangled together without even realizing it. Jay was curled against his chest, one arm loosely draped over him, while Keifer's arm rested protectively around her waist.
They had shifted closer during the night, instinctively seeking warmth and comfort after the scare in the hallway.
Jay's hair was slightly messy from sleep, resting against Keifer's shoulder.
And for once, neither of them looked tense.
They looked… peaceful.
Keifer stirred first.
His eyes slowly opened, blinking against the morning light.
For a moment he didn't move.
Then he realized Jay was curled against him.
A small smile appeared on his face instantly.
He looked down at her sleeping form, noticing the way she held onto him even in sleep.
Soft. Calm. Safe.
Keifer gently brushed a loose strand of hair away from her face.
Then, without thinking too much about it…
He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
Jay stirred slightly at the touch.
Her eyes slowly opened, still sleepy.
For a second she looked confused… until she saw Keifer looking down at her.
Her lips curved into a soft smile.
"Morning," she mumbled.
"Morning," Keifer replied quietly.
For a moment they just stayed like that—still close, still half asleep, still comfortable in each other's arms.
Neither of them noticed the audience.
Across the room…
Percy leaned against the wall with crossed arms.
Aries sat on the small couch.
Jane stood near the window.
Keigan and Keiren were by the door.
All five of them had been standing there for several minutes… watching the scene unfold in stunned silence.
No one had dared interrupt.
Until now.
Keigan finally cleared his throat loudly.
Jay and Keifer both froze.
Very slowly… they turned their heads toward the sound.
And saw everyone staring at them.
Jay's eyes widened instantly.
Keifer blinked.
Then Keiren spoke first, raising an eyebrow.
"So…" he said slowly.
"When did you two start kissing now?"
Jay shot upright immediately.
"What?!"
Keiren shrugged casually.
"Because last time I checked, you two couldn't even stand looking at each other."
Percy snorted.
Aries smirked.
Jane crossed her arms with an amused expression.
Keifer rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
Jay looked like she wanted the floor to swallow her whole.
"We were just—" she started.
"Sleeping," Keifer finished quickly.
Keigan burst out laughing.
"Yeah," he said. "People usually forehead-kiss their enemies in their sleep."
Jay grabbed a pillow and threw it at him.
"Shut up!"
Percy stepped forward, grinning.
"Oh this is priceless," he said. "Yesterday you two were arguing about Snorlax and now you're cuddling like a married couple."
Jay groaned and buried her face in her hands.
Keifer, however… was still smiling slightly.
And Jay noticed.
She elbowed him.
"This is your fault."
Keifer chuckled.
"Totally worth it."
