Chapter 37 - The Art of Being Yours

The carriage rocked gently under the light rain, the constant sound of the droplets creating a soothing melody around them. Inside, the air was warm and comfortable. Vivienne rested her head on Odette's shoulder, their fingers intertwined in the vampire's lap. The light fabric of her lavender chemise had slipped slightly, revealing the soft curve of her shoulder and part of her collarbone.

Odette traced lazy circles with her thumb over the exposed skin — a calm, almost absentminded touch, yet one that made Vivienne's body respond with a sweet, familiar warmth.

— Do you really want to fill the entire mansion with paintings of us? — Vivienne asked, her voice low and playful, almost a purr.

Odette tilted her head, her lips brushing lightly against the elf's forehead.

— I want every corridor, every room, every corner to hold a piece of us. Even when I cannot go outside during the day, I want to look at the walls and see you looking back at me. I want the whole house to know that we are eternal… together.

Vivienne lifted her face, her amber-golden eyes sparkling softly in the dim light.

— You're getting far too romantic, my love.

— Am I? — Odette smiled — that slow, possessive smile that always made Vivienne's heart beat faster. — Or maybe it's just you who makes me this way.

She leaned in and captured Vivienne's lips in a slow, unhurried kiss. It wasn't urgent. It was warm, wet, and full of tenderness. Their tongues met gently, savoring each other while the rain tapped a steady rhythm on the carriage roof.

When they parted, Vivienne's cheeks were lightly flushed.

— If we keep this up, we'll get home and won't even manage to unload the paintings — she murmured, biting her lower lip.

Odette chuckled softly, the sound low and satisfied.

— Would that be so bad?

The carriage came to a gentle stop in front of the mansion. The coachman opened the door, holding a large black umbrella. Odette stepped down first, then extended her hand to Vivienne. The two walked together under the rain as the paintings were carefully carried inside by the servants.

As soon as they entered the main hall, the warmth of the mansion enveloped them. Odette dismissed the servants with an elegant wave.

— Leave the paintings leaning against the wall in the main corridor. We'll decide where to hang them tomorrow.

Once they were alone, Odette pulled Vivienne close by the waist, pressing their bodies together.

— Now… — she murmured against the elf's pointed ear — I want you again. Slowly. Without hurry. As if we have all the time in the world… because we do.

Vivienne smiled, her arms rising to wrap around Odette's neck.

— Then take me to the bedroom, my possessive vampire.

Odette needed no further invitation. With a fluid motion, she lifted Vivienne into her arms. The elf let out a surprised little laugh, her legs wrapping around the other woman's waist as they ascended the staircase.

In the master bedroom, the soft light of the candelabras was already glowing. Odette laid Vivienne down on the bed with care, climbing over her slowly. Their dresses slid from their bodies with patience, piece by piece, until only skin remained against skin.

Odette kissed every inch of Vivienne — her neck, the valley between her breasts, her soft stomach, her thick thighs — lingering where she knew the elf liked it most. When she reached between her legs, she licked slowly, reverently, savoring every sigh and every tremble.

Vivienne arched her back, fingers tangled in Odette's dark hair.

— Odette… ahh… like that… slowly… I want to feel all of you…

The vampire rose again, aligning their bodies. Their sexes met, hot and wet, and they began to move together in a slow, deep rhythm. Clits rubbing, lips parting against each other, hips rolling calmly.

It wasn't urgent sex. It was making love.

Eyes locked. Breaths mingling. Soft, whispered moans.

— I love you — Odette murmured between kisses, her voice hoarse with pleasure.

— I love you too… my eternity — Vivienne replied, her nails lightly scratching the vampire's back.

They came together, slowly, their bodies trembling in a long, sweet orgasm, each whispering the other's name.

Afterward, they lay tangled together, breathing returning to normal. Odette traced lazy patterns on Vivienne's back while the rain continued outside.

— Tomorrow we'll hang the first painting — Odette said softly. — The one from the library, where you look at me as if I'm the center of your world.

Vivienne smiled against her chest.

— And I want one in the garden… where you kissed me for the first time as if you'd never let me go.

Odette tightened her embrace.

— We'll fill this mansion with the two of us. Until there's no room left for anything but our love.

Vivienne closed her eyes, her heart light and full.

— That sounds like a perfect plan.

The rain fell outside.
