A middle aged man in police's attire was running with all his strength while being followed by three wolves that are slightly illusory but still looked solid. They were giving an aura of deep blood thirsty malice while constantly chasing after the policeman.
Guhhh!!!
The policeman coughed out a handful of blood while being at his wits end.
Am I going to die?
This question kept ringing in his mind, he couldn't quite understand what he had done wrong. He simply came here because someone had reported earlier that there's a theft going on here for some time and it has been increased recently. He was assigned the case and was sent with some policemen to investigate. But they encountered a strange kind of wolf pack in their way and all of his subordinates died but the wolves still wasn't willing to let him leave no matter how far he had run.
Suddenly, he tripped his leg on a rock and fell to the ground loosing all his strength.
It's over.... I can't resist anymore, it's the end for me.
Tears fell from his face while the wolves closed the distance between them and one of them pounced on him.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh". The man screamed before completely falling unconscious. Then there was complete silence all around the forest beside the village. After a few minutes, the man slowly opened his eyes and looked around in a completely dazed expression.
"Where....where am I? What am I doing here in the middle of a forest?". He looked around, completely bewildered, then he suddenly came to his senses and remembered what had happened.
"Wolves.... Last night we were attacked by a peculiar wolf pack and everyone died there. But at the last moment, that mysterious person saved me and told me the way back. Shit.... It was all my fault, I am the one who's responsible for their death. I have to go back to the station and report this, I will accept any kind of punishment for my incompetence".
He muttered to himself as tears fell from the corners of his eyes, then after some minutes, he walked towards a certain direction before completely vanishing from the view.
After some time, at the spot where the man has been standing before, a hoarse but terrifying chuckle resounded.
"Heh heh, 'He' sure knows how to arrange matters. But, it's seems that 'He' have been dealing with that without any kind of disturbance rather than those small matters".
"Sigh.... Now that this matter had be dealt with, I should be at ease now".
After a self-deprecating chuckle, the voice vanished and the forest returned to being as silent as the realm of death and stillness.

Era of Blood and War.... Perfect name to describe the fourth epoch. But what's so interesting about this that made Mr. Spikes and Miss Lyanna this excited. It looks rather simple but the black colour on it seems a little odd. Anyways, What does that have to do with me.
"Read, young man when I was of your age, I was brimming with energy and waas always one step ahead in doing all sorts of works".
Mr. Spikes said while chuckling.
With a gentle nod, I decided to start this book reading session.
I started saying the words written in the book in Loenese in a gentle but audible voice.
"The world of ordinary should be considered far extraordinary than the world of beyonders.
Many of the secrets of the fourth epoch can be directly connected to the realm of ordinary.
Blood Emperor Alista Tudor had one said that ordinary is a whole set of mysteries combined together and thrown out in order to not catch anyone's Attention."
My expressions grew uglier as I continued to read the book. What.... What kind of crap is this? One thing isn't connected to another, only the first paragraph about the Blodd Emperor was somewhat interesting but it's now only some peculiar and strange sentences intertwined together in order make a book. What's so special about this, and also, why do I feel like this so called 'Ordinary' is not what's used in daily life.
Seeing the expression on my face, Mr. Spikes chuckled a little before calmly raising his old hand to indicate me to stop.
"Child, this should be enough for today, I'll later provide you with some scriptures which you can study and reasearch on, It will be considered as a homework to you".
What.... You're deliberately keeping this so called 'readind and research' type job peculiar just so you can scare me right? Right?
Seeing my puzzled expression, Miss Lyanna scrutinized me for a few seconds before deliberating over what to say, she eventually gave up on her thoughts and decided to remain silent.
"Mr. Spikes.... It's only a little more than 1 hour isn't it? Is my job this short?". I decided to voice a portion of my thoughts out in order to understand what's so special about this job to give me 2.5 pounds salary a week.
Mr. Spikes thought for moment before smiling towards me and saying in a calm and deep voice, "You don't have to get confused or feel uneasy, this job is looking peculiar to you because it's just your first day here. I can understand your confusion, don't worry child, more than half of your work in this job is to help me research on those scriptures and help me decipher the impossible to decipher Roselle's text. Yes, I also have the desire to understand and gain the hidden secrets of those texts and understand Emperor Roselle's greatness".
Taste of a demoness... Yeah, really something worth of getting called 'Greatness'.
I lampooned inwardly before deciding to 'believe' in the old man's words.
"Let's head to the dining table, I'll prepare something to eat as a celebration to your first day here." The beautiful Miss Lyanna said in an elegant tone.
Is it that big of an achievement? I was looking at them with an expression of 'what is happening in this job', I came back to my senses after getting reminded twice about heading to the dining table.
I simply nodded before standing up and following Mr. Spikes towards the dining table while pondering about the feeling I've having within my heart, the feeling of uneasiness.
Why? Is this job really just what it looks like or is it going to benefit me greatly? Why the Heart of Madness making me feel at ease, this is definitely not any kind of beyonder ability used by them I can guarantee. Sigh.... I think I should believe my heart, at least it's mine and can't harm me.
